Ubud invites you to step into an artistic cooking class, explore the true meaning of Balinese cuisine in the poetic countryside, and embark on a creative journey on the tip of your tongue.
Pastoral style of course content: Usually the course duration is about 3-5 hours, focusing on Balinese pastoral cuisine, such as vegetable soup, coconut milk fried chicken, satay chicken skewers, etc. You will start by visiting the agricultural products and spice market, purchasing the raw materials needed for subsequent production, learning to season with local herbs, mastering open-air grilling techniques, and natural processing of ingredients, and experience the wonderful fusion of pastoral and food. Students will personally create 5-9 special foods in one class, and may also receive a free Ubud food recipe upon graduation, so that they can easily restore the delicious taste when they go home.
Small class teaching, strong local teaching staff: The class size is limited to a small class. The small scale allows the chef to give meticulous guidance. Students can fully exchange their insights into nature and food. The atmosphere is relaxed and pleasant, stimulating unlimited creativity. Most of the chefs who teach are local food experts, or have inherited ancient cooking skills from their families, and are familiar with the ingredients of every inch of Ubud. They use on-site demonstrations, hands-on teaching, and explanations of Ubud legends to immerse students in the cuisine and help them understand the essence. During the production process, there will be assistants to help with cleaning and taking photos and videos.
Natural model of facilities: Most cooking venues are open-air or semi-open-air, close to nature. The traditional earth stoves are matched with some handmade bamboo kitchen utensils, which are unique in flavor. The ingredients are directly sourced from surrounding markets, farmlands, and orchards. They are fresh and organic, like freshly picked Bali lemons and freshly dug sweet potatoes, all with their original flavor.
Take a cooking class in Ubud, where you will not only learn how to make delicious dishes, but also gain a deeper understanding of the culture and customs of this land. You will become a Balinese food artist, leaving behind a unique taste memory and opening up a new exploration of food.
