Chill

The interior is boat club smart casual with indoor to terrace seating overlooking the sea. Whilst we awaited everyone we order some salted stands, chocolate with malt and strawberry milkshakes. For the touch of nostalgia they were served metal cup to led the chill and they were thick and flavoursome! For lunch we ordered bacon nutty with avocado and side mixed broccoli almond and couscous salad, tofu bowl and granola. The food was delicious and the service was good. I’d like to try other dishes off the menu and the cabinet selection was impressive. #newzealandtrip #travel #thingstodo

The service is fast and the quality of the coffees are always amazing! Genuine and authentic vibes all around. The people working are wonderful, respectful and always greet you with a genuine presence. The quality is even better than many cafes which charge you much more than they do. I am then impressed by their "bring your own cup" option, which would cost you a dollar less. The coffee is well made brilliantly and is reasonably priced. They have a number of different additions if require something less ordinary, including the on trend Tumeric Lattes. #newzealandtrip #wellington #couplestrip

The service was super quick, we were seated immediately and orders were taken quickly despite them being very busy. I ordered the Picnic on a plate set and my friend ordered the smashed avocado. Both were very tasty. Mine didn’t need the wasabi mayo as the other ingredients were juicy but I would’ve liked more of the hash. I also thought I could see too much of my plate and not enough food, and, their prices have gone up again which is a shame. Had it not been for the price, this would be a brilliant spot. #newzealandtrip #thingstodo

Great coffee drink! My fav was an iced oat milk latte, which doesn’t seem easy to get in Wellington. My kids got oat milk lattes with caramel. My friend got a hot mochaccino with coconut milk and she loved it. It's got a very nice vibe as well. A relaxing place to grab a bite. The cafe is filled with locals, and as a person visiting, appreciated being in a place where locals want to come and hangout. I would definitely recommend visiting for the ambiance and coffee and food! #newzealandtrip #travel #thingstodo

Wētā Workshop in New Zealand

Wētā Workshop in New Zealand

The Wētā workshop is an experience that guides you through how many props have been made for various films including Star Wars and Lord of the Rings. The workshop is situated just outside the CBD of Wellington and it is very easy to get transport there. It is open from 9–5 and costs 70NZD to enter. The tour starts with an introduction from the guides and last for 1.5 hours which includes videos and explanations of how props are made. No photography is allowed in the main area of the workshop. The tour ends at the gift shop which is expansive and has lots of different film related merchandise on offer. The unique aspect of the workshop is the ties to the owners who seem to be involved in the workshop today. There is an exciting feel to the place as the tour guides are passionate about the movies and the props too.

Picton Bliss: Ferry Memories Revived

#2024wish In October 2018, I embarked on an unforgettable Bluebridge ferry journey from Wellington to Picton. As the ferry cut through the mesmerizing waters of the Cook Strait, I was captivated by the scenic beauty surrounding me. Arriving in Picton, a quaint coastal town nestled in the heart of Marlborough Sounds, I was greeted by charming landscapes and a serene atmosphere. Exploring the town's waterfront and vibrant cafes left an indelible mark on my memory. The crisp sea air and friendly locals added to the enchantment of the trip. Now, in 2024, reminiscing about that remarkable experience, I yearn to relive the magic of Picton. In 2024, I wish to go there again.
