Boracay Island

1. Accommodations Hotels now need to comply with much stricter rules if they want to stay open. Do not forget to check the list of hotels accredited by the Department of Tourism posted on their website. 2. Reservation Slips You need to present the accredited-hotel reservation slips to local officials before you enter the island. Do not forget to print them out! You’ll find designated booths in Kalibo and Caticlan airports. For those coming from Iloilo and Aklan, you’ll also find booths in the Caticlan Jetty Port. 3. Entry Form When you are at the booths, you also need to fill out a Department of Tourism Tourist Arrival Form. You can download the form on their website and accomplish it beforehand to save time. 4. Drop-Off and Pick-Up Points and Schedule To maintain the island’s 19,000 daily carrying capacity, docking time of boats to and from Caticlan island (the jump-off point to Boracay Island) is limited to 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM only. You can then take a boat from the Caticlan Jetty Port to the Cagban or the Tambisaan Port (two ports on Boracay island). Take note of this when booking your flights. Late arrivals and departures are allowed, but you’ll need the approval of the Philippine Coast Guard and the administration of the Caticlan Jetty Port. #maydaytrip #urbanexplorer

Boracay Islands

Boracay is back! Well, it didn’t really leave. It was just closed to visitors for six months in 2018, which sparked countless debates. The good news is, it has been reopened to tourists! There have been some changes and new policies, so we’re publishing a brand new BORACAY TRAVEL GUIDE with sample itinerary to help you plan your trip. If you’ve been to the island prior to closure, this guide can also serve as your short refresher. UNDERSTANDING BORACAY Any conversation about the Philippines as a tourist destination isn’t complete without a mention of Boracay. It is, after all, the country’s most well-known beach attraction, topping various publications’ lists of best islands in Asia and in the world. Here are more bits about Boracay. Location: Boracay is within the municipality of Malay, province of Aklan in the Philippines. Mainland Aklan is part of Panay Island. Languages: Aklanon and Ati are the native languages. But locals, especially those working in the tourism industry, can fluently speak and understand Tagalog and English. Currency: Philippine peso (PHP, ₱). PHP100 is around USD 1.90, EUR 1.69, SGD 2.57 (as of May 2019). #urbanexplorer #maydaytrip

BORACAY

A tropical island surrounded by stunning white sand beaches and clear blue waters. Boracay is a small island in the central Philippines. It's known for its resorts and beaches. White Beach is backed by palm trees, bars and restaurants. Tourists will appreciate water sports and activities such as sailing, windsurfing, snorkeling, diving and jet skiing. The fun in Boracay doesn't end when the sun sets. The nightlife pulsates with many bars and restaurants serving food, drink and fun until the wee hours of dawn. It is located about an hour's flight from Cebu just off the larger Philippines island of Panay. #travel #destination #tripguide #supportlocaltourism #bestislandtraveltowns#beaches

Enchanting Boracay ✨

Boracay is overrated. Of course it is. These are few snaps from my 2022 Boracay trip, my first time in the island. What amazed me the first time I stepped out of the boat from the mainland was the crystal clear water as if the boats were magically "afloat". The pristine white sand, the crystal clear water, the sunset, the island in general was enchanting, at least for a first-timer. Boracay is like a progressive city in an island, like it has its own life. It has all the facilities and amenities that even large island provinces in PH does not have, from malls to luxurious hotels, famous international brands, yachts, jetski, activities, clean and aesthetic streets, name it all. Boracay is a mini-paradise - and its night life is legit! Tourism is all time high as this is flocked by tourist, both locals and foreigners. #voyagevibes #traveldudes

Hey, beach bums and luxury lovers! 🌊🛏️ If you're plotting a serene escape to Boracay, let me spill the deets on The Auhana. It's a slice of paradise where elegance meets tranquility. 🏝️✨ Nestled on Station 3's quieter side, this gem offers spacious, freshly-renovated rooms with your toes practically in the sand! 🏖️ Imagine waking up to the sound of waves and catching little fish without wandering far. Talk about beachfront bliss! The staff? Superstars of hospitality! 🌟 They greet you with smiles that are as warm as the sun. Though a bit of a trek from the buzz of Station 2, it's the perfect spot for those who love to lounge in style. 🍹 Dine with a view that'll knock your flip-flops off! 🍽️ The Auhana's restaurant serves up top-notch cuisine that complements the stunning seascape. And when you're not indulging, explore the resort's grand facilities or take a dip in the azure waters. 🏊‍♂️ Can't wait to go back and experience it all over again. Borcacst Island

Boracay island is determined to bounce back. On October 1, 2020, the island reopened to tourists from all over the country, albeit with strict protocols. Hotels are also offering promo rates to entice travelers to revisit their white sands and blue waters. Boracay opened only to Western Visayas residents starting on June 16, 2020 with a strict age restriction, where visitors below 21 or older than 60 were prohibited from entering the island. On July 23, 2020, the Department of Tourism’s request to lift the age restriction was approved by the Boracay Inter-Agency Task Force. It wasn’t until October 2020 that people from all over the country were allowed on the island. #urbanexplorer #summervacation #summervacation#beachvacation#hikingtrails#hotelstay#urbanexplorer

This was a very good find. Gratitude is a sweet little hidden gem walking distance from Bulabog Beach. Perfect if you want to have some alone time or intimate time with someone or even enjoy vegan treats. Amazing and friendly staff who will make you feel at home before you even step in. The banana carrot bread was just what I needed after an exhausting day. Overall, it's a place with good atmosphere and decent value. I would recommend. #philippinestrip #travel #myitinerary #boracay
