Queenstown Accommodation Recommendation | Reavers Lodge

Queenstown Accommodation Recommendation | Reavers Lodge

|Reavers Lodge. 🏨 Hotel: Reavers Lodge 📍 Address: 56 Hamilton Road, Queenstown, New Zealand ✨ Hotel Highlights Reavers Lodge is located in the heart of Queenstown, with a very convenient location. The hotel is adjacent to several popular attractions, including the Kiwi Bird and Bird Park, the Queenstown Cemetery, and the Shotover River Jet Boat. These attractions are all within a short distance, making it ideal for a compact itinerary. 🎿 The hotel has a unique design style, with a relaxed and vibrant atmosphere. Guests who have been here highly recommend the hotel's bar area, where you can enjoy stunning views of the Remarkables! Open a bottle of beer and chat by the fireplace, it's a great feeling! 🍻 🛏️ Facilities and Experience 1. The hotel has a full range of facilities, including a spa and bar, providing guests with comfort and relaxation. 2. Some rooms offer stunning mountain views, providing a great experience. 3. The bar area offers beautiful views, and the fireplace adds a warm atmosphere to the public area. 4. The staff are all super friendly and offer ski equipment rental services, so you don't have to worry if you're coming to ski in the winter. ⛷️ However, the hotel does have some shortcomings: 1. Some rooms have poor soundproofing, and you can hear the noise and footsteps of your neighbors. 2. The rooms and public areas can sometimes be a bit old and the cleanliness needs to be improved. 3. The breakfast is basic, and guests have reported noise issues. If you're concerned about sleep quality, please be aware. 🍽️ Nearby Food Recommendations 1. Eichardt's Bar: Don't miss the squid ink tempura! 2. 1876: The grilled pork chop here is very famous, and it's a perfect combination of bar and pub. 3. Halo Forbidden Bite: The pan-fried lamb tail here is a great choice! 🌆 Attractions - Sunshine Bay Walk: Suitable for morning runs or evening walks. - Shotover River Jet Boat: An exhilarating experience you can't miss! - Queenstown Cemetery: A historical site that offers a glimpse into the local culture. Self drive to Southern New Zealand

#cityscape Starting in Queenstown, I hit the road towards Milford Sound, stopping along the way to take in the stunning vistas and hike some beautiful trails. The drive itself is an experience, with winding roads and picturesque viewpoints that made every stop worthwhile. Visiting the fiords was a highlight, where I took a boat tour to soak in the dramatic cliffs and cascading waterfalls. I also explored charming towns like Te Anau and Wanaka, each with its own unique charm. The freedom of driving allowed me to discover hidden gems and enjoy the stunning scenery at my own pace. Southern New Zealand is a paradise for nature lovers, and I can’t recommend this self-drive adventure enough!

Relax in a onsen with an amazing view

We traveled to the South Island of New Zealand by car from the end of June to the beginning of July, which belongs to winter season, so how can we miss the experience of soaking in hot springs! Although the online reviews of Onsen Hot Pools are very mixed, when we made an appointment on the official website nearly three months before departure, we found that many time slots in July had already been booked. Seeing that it was so popular, we decided to give it a try. Successfully booked a traditional private indoor hot spring at dusk. Our reserved time slot was from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm. We arrived 15 minutes early as required. The staff were very friendly. We choose our drinks first, the staff said they would send them to the hot springs with snacks later. At 4:55, the staff led us to the private hot spring, and also served drinks and snacks, indicating that there would be a reminder 10 minutes before the end of the time slot. We changed our swimsuits, there were shower facilities in the private hot springs, and after a quick shower, we immediately enjoyed the hot springs. Spring water dynamics, lights, door switches, etc., can be automatically adjusted by action buttons right next to the hot spring. While enjoying the hot springs to relax our body and mind, we enjoyed the sunset and the beautiful mountains. One hour passed without knowing it, the fatigue of rushing for the trip for several days was relieved, and we all left with satisfied smiles. Overall, we recommend everyone to try it out. The key points of the reservation are as follows: 1. It is convenient and easy to make an appointment on the official website, and it can also be cancelled free of charge at the specified time 2. There are two types of hot springs: outdoor and indoor. It is also available for 4 people to book together. The more number of people to share, the cheaper for each 3. Each session is an hour 4. Be sure to make an appointment at least 2-3 months in advance as if super popular 5. The hot spring is currently undergoing expansion work, so arrive early to be on time You need to report to the front desk 15 minutes before your scheduled time slot 6. It doesn't matter if you are not self-driving, because they provide hourly pick-up and drop off service, a small from the centre of Queenstown. #can’t miss experience

NZ Kawarau Bridge Bungy Queenstown

When in Queenstown, everyone should go do this! it’s super Awesome! The entire experience was phenomenal and the staff at the Kawarau Bungy Center was outstanding. A little pricey would be the only drawback, especially once you include pictures/videos. The staff were very friendly and helpful and professional. They really got you excited about jumping off a perfectly good bridge!! The viewing platform was great to watch from and your friends can get good shots of you jumping off. There is a gift shop and cafe there as well. This is something everyone should do at least once in your life and where better than the home of bungy? Address: Corner of Shotover & Camp Streets, 25 Shotover Street, Queenstown 9300, New Zealand #newyearadventure #newyearadventure #bungy #newzealand

Queenstown - Newzealand

Queenstown is widely recognized as the most beautiful city in New Zealand and not only that, it is also one of the most photogenic places in the world for people to travel to! This city is one of the best location of the world to do sky diving, and this is the reason why we are here for this trip. Suggestion of places to visit in Queenstown Once you’re in Queenstown, there will be only one road driving to Glenorchy. It was a 40 – 50 minutes scenic drive from the main town to a scenic lookout – Bennets Bluff overlooking the lake, and it was mostly smooth driving for another 1/2 hour to reach Lake Wakatipu. Glenorchy – Lake Wakatipu and a few stunning scenery in the Lord of the Ring. Lake Wakatipu was used for scenes involving Lothlorien, an ancient forest in the movie. Twelve Mile Delta : A campside location on the banks of Lake Wakatipu is the location in one of the scenes where Frodo, Sam and Gollom watch the battle between Faramir’s rangers and Oliphaunts in the Lord of the Ring. #urbanexplorer #urbanexplorer #naturalwonders

Panoramic Paradise: Deer Park Heights in Queenstown

#weekendgetaways During my recent trip to Queenstown, I visited Deer Park Heights, a scenic drive and animal encounter located 550 meters above the town. The 5 km self-drive route meanders through a working deer farm, offering breathtaking 360-degree views of Lake Wakatipu, The Remarkables mountain range, and the Whakatipu Basin. Along the way, I had the delightful opportunity to feed various animals, including deer, goats, alpacas, and donkeys. Pellets were available for purchase at the first stop, making it easy to interact with these friendly creatures. The combination of stunning vistas and hands-on animal experiences made Deer Park Heights a highlight of my New Zealand adventure.
