Liaoning's Altay - Laopingtuo, Benxi: An Adventurer's Guide

Liaoning's Altay - Laopingtuo, Benxi: An Adventurer's Guide

With the arrival of spring, I can't wait to return to Laopingtuo! **📍Location**: Laopingtuo, known as "Liaoning's Altay," is hidden near Benxi Dabinggou Forest Park. It's only a 2-hour drive from Shenyang. **🚗Getting There**: Download the "Liangbulu" app in advance, search for "Laopingtuo," download the route, and start navigation. Although the signal is weak in most areas, GPS positioning is stable. Refer to the starting point suggested in the app. Driving up the mountain is not recommended due to complex road conditions. Local villagers offer jeep services. Those without hiking experience can choose this option to shorten the walking distance. **🎒What to Pack**: * **Essential**: Hiking boots, trekking poles, long pants (the descent involves steep forest trails, so caution is advised). * **Recommended**: Insect repellent, snacks, plenty of water (summers are hot, and there are no supply points, so bring at least 1.5L per person), trash bags (protect the environment, it's everyone's responsibility). **🌟Experience**: The 13 km hike, with a total ascent of over 600m, took me, a hiking newbie, 6 hours to complete. Along the way, I climbed wild mountains, drank from streams, tasted wild fruits, and cracked wild walnuts. It was an amazing experience! As for the scenery, the pictures only show a glimpse; the real thing is even more breathtaking! **📣Important Reminder**: While enjoying nature, please protect the environment. Bring your own trash bags and take all your trash with you. Let our footprints add to the beauty, not detract from it. Looking forward to your exciting adventures in Laopingtuo! 🌲🌄🌟

Red Beach in Panjin - China

Red Beach in Panjin, China - Sand is probably the first thing that comes to mind when thinking about the beach. However, this is not the case with the Panjin Red Beach in China, which is, actually, red, and not covered in sand at all. Such a phenomenon is caused by a type of red plant called Sueda. It starts growing during April and May, then stays green during the summer, but starts turning vividly red in autumn. To keep the beautiful nature and its inhabitants safe, the area was granted state-level protection back in 1988. Even though most of the Red Beach is closed to the public, there still is a small section that works as a tourist attraction. #china #china🇨🇳 #chinatravel #chinalife #chinadestinations #chinaphotography #panjin #panjinchina #redbeach #liaoning #liaoningprovince #wetland #ilovemylife #itsgoodtobealive #travel #travelling #viajar #viajarfazbem #viajarépreciso #trip #wanderlust #wanderlusting #enjoythelife #travelgram #culture

Liaoning Seafood: A Gourmet Wonder
bestchinesefood

Liaoning Seafood: A Gourmet Wonder

#bestchinesefood Liaoning's seafood is rich and diverse. The following are some representative delicacies and their characteristics. Seafood dumplings: Liaoning seafood dumplings are a specialty of the coastal areas of Liaoning Province, known for their rich seafood fillings and unique flavors. Freshly caught shrimp, fish, crab meat, etc. are selected, and vegetables such as leeks and green onions are used. The fillings are delicious and juicy. The dumpling skin is thin and the filling is large, and the taste is smooth and tender. Every bite is the ultimate temptation to the taste buds. Whether it is a holiday celebration or a daily food, seafood dumplings are a delicacy that can quickly ignite the taste buds. Fried sea oysters: This is one of Yingkou's iconic delicacies. Fresh sea oysters are selected and carefully fried with eggs and green onions. The taste is crispy and the seafood is tangy. It is a unique enjoyment of the seaside city. Steamed Bohai Bay prawns: Bohai Bay prawns are famous for their tender meat and delicate taste. The steamed method can perfectly retain the original flavor of the shrimp, and with simple spices, it is an extremely delicious seafood feast. Braised Spanish mackerel: Spanish mackerel is one of the common seafood in Yingkou. Braised Spanish mackerel has a bright red color, rich sauce, and tender and juicy fish. It is a frequent visitor to the family table and a rare delicacy. Seafood porridge: It brings together the essence of various seafood such as shrimp, crab, shellfish, etc. The porridge is delicious and nutritious, and it is loved by diners. Sweet and sour sea cucumber: After clever cooking of sweet and sour, sea cucumber not only retains its nourishing nature, but also incorporates the sweet and sour taste of sweet and sour. The taste is rich and intoxicating. The cultural background and geographical characteristics of Liaoning sea food: As the only coastal province in Northeast China, Liaoning is rich in marine resources. Its coastline stretches for 2,100 kilometers from Shanhaiguan to the mouth of the Yalu River in Dandong City. The sea area of Liaoning is located between 39 degrees and 40 degrees north latitude. The low temperature in winter makes the offshore waters freeze. This unique natural phenomenon allows seafood to accumulate nutrients for a long time, and the meat is more fat and tender, the taste is more delicious. Especially in the cold water group of the Yellow Sea, the water temperature is lower than the surrounding sea water by 20℃ all year round, which provides a paradise for cold-water marine life to reproduce, and also attracts warm-water and warm-water marine life to inhabit. Such an environment has given birth to a large number of high-quality and high-economic-value marine life such as shellfish and fish.

Benxi Water Cave Scenic Area

Benxi Water Cave Scenic Area

In the snowy season, I came to the Benxi Water Cave Scenic Area. At this moment, the rime is undoubtedly the finishing touch here. The foggy Guqin Lake is crystal clear, and the graceful rime scenery is in sight, as if walking into a fairy tale world 'Benxi Water Cave'. The water cave was formed by a large water-filled karst cave millions of years ago. The stalactites, stalagmites, stone pillars, stone flowers, and stone mantles in the cave are well developed, marveling at the profoundness of nature's craftsmanship! Mysterious water cave, colorful, strange shape, fairyland on earth.

Lushun Military Port

Lushun Military Port

Lushun Military Port (also known as Lushun Port), located in Lushunkou District, Dalian City, Liaoning Province, China, is a non-freezing port, located south of Baiyu Mountain. It was established during the Qing Dynasty, and there was a naval camp in Lushun as early as the Ming Dynasty. Lushun Military Port is a port built by the Beiyang Navy during the late Qing Dynasty and is one of the most important military ports in modern northern China. It is now used by the North Sea Fleet of the People's Liberation Army Navy and belongs to the Lushun Base of the Navy. The Lushun Military Port was established during the Qing government period from 1880 to 1890. At that time, in order to strengthen the maritime defense of Lushun Port, Li Hongzhang raised funds to build the Beiyang Navy, expanded the channel, dredged the port, built gun emplacements, and built port pools. After many years of construction, Lushun Military Port has become a world-famous military fortress, known as a 'world wonder'. The first thing that comes into view when entering the park is a stone tablet that is 2.4 meters high, 0.8 meters thick, and 1.5 meters wide. The stone tablet is made from a natural boulder selected from Laotie Mountain, weighing about one ton. The front of the stone tablet is engraved with the three big characters 'Lushun Port', and the back is engraved with an inscription recording the origin of Lushun Port. The huge bronze sculpture 'Awakening Lion' on the west side of the park is named after Lushun Port, which was known as 'Lion's Mouth' in the Yuan Dynasty, symbolizing the increasingly powerful motherland, like a sleeping lion waking up, ready to go. Lushun Military Port Park is located at the southern foot of Baiyu Mountain. You can take buses No. 2, 3, and 5 from Lushun City.
