A secluded sanctuary, Yubeng exudes an irresistible charm. March is the perfect time to visit. Check out this comprehensive guide below👇 📍 Location & Overview: Yubeng Village lies at the foot of the Meili Snow Mountain's Goddess Peak, surrounded by majestic mountains. Here, you'll find breathtaking snow-capped mountains, lush primeval forests, picturesque meadows, and a rich Tibetan Buddhist culture. It's a hiker's paradise and a perfect escape for those seeking inner peace. 🚗 Transportation: - External Transportation: - By Air: Fly to Lijiang Sanyi Airport or Shangri-La Airport. Take precautions. - By Train: Take a train to Kunming, then transfer to Lijiang, followed by another transfer to Yubeng. - Internal Transportation: - Bus: Check bus schedules on the "Lijiang Easy Life" or "Shangri-La Easy Life" mini-programs. Take a bus from Lijiang or Shangri-La to Deqin. From Deqin to the scenic area entrance, you can share a ride, hire a car, or take a bus from the passenger transport station. - Carpooling: Approx. 7 hrs from Lijiang (CNY 260/person); approx. 4 hrs from Shangri-La (CNY 200/person). - Scenic Area Shuttle: Purchase entrance tickets (CNY 55/person) after disembarking at Xidang Hot Spring. Legend says circling the waterfall three times cleanses one's sins. The rushing river and steep canyon walls offer stunning views. - Xiongnong Base Camp: The site of the 1991 Sino-Japanese joint mountaineering team's Meili Snow Mountain expedition. Experience the challenges and courage of the climbers while enjoying panoramic mountain views. 🍜 Food Recommendations: - Butter Tea: A traditional Tibetan drink with a rich flavor, perfect for warming up and easing altitude sickness. - Barley Cakes: Crispy and fragrant, these cakes are a great energy boost. - Yak Hot Pot: Made with fresh local yak meat, this flavorful hot pot is a satisfying treat after a long hike. 🏠 Accommodation: - Upper Yubeng: If you plan to hike to Ice Lake or along the Nise route, stay in Upper Yubeng. Juese Butter Tea offers comfortable lodging and delicious meals. - Lower Yubeng: Closer to the Sacred Waterfall, Sacred Lake, and Ninong Grand Canyon. Xuelong Inn is a good option with tasty food. Yubeng accommodations are generally pricey, and many lack heating due to electricity issues. Contact your hotel in advance if you are sensitive to the cold. ⚠️ Important Notes: - Altitude Sickness: Take precautions against altitude sickness. Consider medication and avoid strenuous activity upon arrival. - Warm Clothing: Yubeng experiences significant temperature fluctuations. Pack warm layers like a jacket, fleece, and thermal pants. - Sun Protection: High-altitude sun is intense. Use sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat. - Hiking Gear: Trekking poles are essential (rentals available at inns). Crampons are needed before May. Pack a raincoat for unpredictable weather. - Pack Light: Avoid suitcases. Bring only essential items to ease your hike. - Hiking Safety: Stay on marked trails. Some routes are challenging. Shangri-La | Stay in an art gallery after descending from Meili Mountain!

| Stay in an art gallery after descending from Meili Mountain! Shangri-La | Stay in an art gallery after descending from Meili Mountain I booked a room at Jixiashan for a photo of the sunrise on Kawaboge I was overjoyed to book a room with a view of the snow-capped mountains But the heavy fog these days blocked the view of the snow-capped mountains Maybe not every time you are overjoyed You will get what you want, it's good to learn to accept impermanence Let's talk about the hotel, it's in a mountainous area, surrounded by villages The aesthetics of the hotel are interpreted in every corner The facilities in the room are quite complete, but the hotel itself is not big and the supporting facilities are not complete. It is not necessary for friends who come for the snow-capped mountains to spend a high price to book a room with a view of the snow-capped mountains The environment platform on the fourth floor is yyds In addition, friends who come from afar should still check the weather before traveling. After October, the chance of seeing the sunrise on the Golden Mountain will be higher. It's a bit disappointing to spend a few thousand to lie down for one night.

Such a beautiful hotel and homestay!

Such a beautiful hotel and homestay!

From the day before check-in to departure, the overall service of Jixiashan · Meili made me very satisfied. The day before check-in, customer service will add WeChat and pull into a group. There are two staff members in the group who respond at any time. Before arrival, customer service reminded us that there will be wine tasting and snow mountain documentary activities on the 4th floor in the evening. They will also ask us about our arrival time and whether we need dinner. After arriving at the store, the staff member Zhang Jiacheng (I asked for his name specifically! Praise him!) explained various information to us in detail when receiving us. Then he sent a text version to the group again. After entering the room, he will also kindly remind us that we can turn off the floor heating when we sleep at night to avoid too dry air. He then explained the paper version of the wifi information and 24-hour contact number again. The two nights at Jixiashan were also the most comfortable nights for me and my family on this trip (I was woken up at dawn in Songzan)

Tibet | Jia Ying Village, an isolated paradise for off-road enthusiasts

Tibet | Jia Ying Village, an isolated paradise for off-road enthusiasts

🚗 Tibet, this mysterious and magnificent land, has always attracted countless people's attention. Among the many attractions, the Meili Snow Mountain, as one of the four sacred mountains, is particularly noteworthy. However, at the foot of Meili Snow Mountain, there is a little-known small village—Jia Ying Village. 🚗 Jia Ying Village, hidden deep in the snow-capped mountains, is so small that it only has four households. Isolated from the world and sparsely populated, it possesses some of the world's most beautiful natural scenery. Surrounded by snow-capped mountains and with fresh air, it feels like a secluded fairyland. 🚗 If Bing Cha Cha is a must-drive route for self-driving tourists, then going to Jia Ying Village is the most challenging section. Leaving National Highway 219 and turning onto Provincial Highway 203 from Chayu to Basu, the provincial road is a notch below the national highway, with a rough and uneven surface. It winds and ascends through the mountains, and when you stop and look back, it's even more treacherous than the 72 turns of National Highway 318. The road is very narrow, barely wide enough for two vehicles to pass, but there are not many large vehicles on this road. 🚗 The scenery is beautiful, but it is indeed very dangerous. Especially in winter, one must pay attention to safety, and it is best to be guided by locals.
