Cambodia Plans Visa-Free Entry for Chinese Tourists by 2025

Cambodia is considering offering visa-free entry to tourists from mainland China and Hong Kong, with details still being finalized. The announcement is expected in early 2025. If successful, Cambodia will join neighboring countries like Singapore and Thailand, which have already introduced visa-free policies for Chinese tourists earlier this year. Currently, holders of diplomatic and official passports from China and Cambodia can enter each other's countries without a visa for up to 30 days. However, tourists with regular Chinese passports need to apply for a visa before entering Cambodia. There are several ways to obtain a Cambodian visa: 1. Visa on Arrival: Tourists can apply for a visa at airports and land borders. A 30-day tourist visa costs $30, while a business visa that can be extended costs $35. 2. Consulate Visa: Chinese citizens can apply for a single-entry, 3-month valid, 30-day stay tourist or regular visa at Cambodian consulates in China. They can also apply for 1-year, 2-year, or 3-year multiple-entry tourist or regular visas. 3. E-Visa: An e-visa can be applied for through Cambodia's official website, costing $36 for a tourist visa and $42 for a business visa. It is valid for 90 days from the approval date, allowing a 30-day stay upon entry. Cambodia is also upgrading and streamlining its visa process to make entry smoother for tourists. The traditional paper entry card is being phased out in favor of a new electronic entry card that integrates with the e-visa. This time, I got up early to see the sunrise from Angkor Wat☀️ In front of the Angkor Wat buildings, there's a lotus pond, and you can enjoy the reflection as well🪞 While midday is nice, the sunrise at Angkor Wat was absolutely beautiful!

#fallingforfall Getting there- We took the 12 overnight bus from Sihanoukville to Siem Reap after spending an amazing time on Koh Rong Sanloem. In Siem Reap there are many beautiful guesthouses hostels and homestays. We decided to rent a motorcycle and live outside the busy area in a Great guesthouse called Sihariddh Angkor Villa. From there it takes only 10-15 minutes to the entrance of the Angkor Wat Complex. The Angkor Wat Complex inhabits more than 400 temples and is the biggest religious temple complex in the world stretching over 163 hectares. Spending 2 days from morning to evening is enough time i would say

This is the 1st place you need to visit to get your pass, in order to continue your Angkor Park journey. When at the counter, tell them the number of days you need, there are 1 day cost USD 37, 3 days cost USD 62 and 7 days cost USD 72, then have your photo taken, the pass is issue with the photo print out.

#voyagevibes For many people, Cambodia is associated primarily with Angkor Wat, which they know is a large ancient temple complex that includes smaller temples, such as the temple where the Lara Croft movie was filmed, or the temple with faces. All of them are located right in the jungle and represent somewhere restored, somewhere abandoned ruins. Actually, it's not quite like that. Angkor Wat is a temple complex, one of the largest in the world. The complex is located on the territory of the city of Angkor (without Wat), like many other temples. Including the Bayon Temple, or the temple with faces. The Angkor Wat temple itself is so impressive in its size, and previously shone with luxurious decoration, that it is not surprising that its appearance was associated with higher forces, namely, with the will of the god Indra. Mythological version Once upon a time, a ruler had a son named Preah Ket Mealea, whose name means Divine Radiance. The young man received it because he was of amazing beauty and, moreover, possessed a wonderful character and many spiritual perfections. And the god Indra, the ruler of the heavenly kingdom, decided to call such a perfect young man to himself. The heavenly castle, which the prince got into, he liked incredibly. The castle consisted of five tall towers decorated with many iridescent precious stones. The interior was also striking in its beauty. Historical Version In fact, the temple was built during the reign of Emperor Suryavarman II, who lived at the turn of the XI and XII centuries. His subjects revered him as the incarnation of the god Vishnu on earth. And then the emperor decided to build a temple dedicated to Vishnu. It became Angkor Wat - the earthly home of the emperor and his tomb. The construction lasted for about 40 years, and the temple was almost completed, but after the death of the emperor, work on the temple was stopped. Therefore, in some places, the decoration of the facades has not been completed. The temple was built of black and gray sandstone, which was quarried at quarries located 40 km from the construction site and delivered along the Siem Reap River. It is estimated that the construction took about 5 million tons of stone. No mortar was used to fasten the stone blocks. The stone blocks were tightly fitted to each other, so they are held only by the gravity of their own weight - it remains to be surprised at the skills of Khmer architects and builders.

You can visit the first, second, and the top levels of the temple. It was originally built as a Hindu Temple and was later converted into a Buddhist temple. Tons of history at the site.
