Special

This is a very unique sort of a place with the vintage ambience. There is something artistic about it as well as old and photogenic. It was a really nice place, that is sort of hidden from the road so you can't hear the bike or car sounds which was great. The place was cozy and there are some muaic instruments. The music was great too. We went in the afternoon for a while and then went back again in the evening because we liked it so much. It was lot better than places with tourists and noise. We tried their cold brew coffee and passion fruit juice. Both were very nice. #vietnamtrip #hanoi #hiddencafes

BOOK IN BAR

Book in bar is a small, quiet cafe, very suitable for studying or working. It was my own big mistake not to know about Book in bar sooner and write a review for everyone so that everyone could have a new place to hide for themselves. Although the space is only one floor, there are many seats, most of the tables and chairs are high tables and chairs, and there are electrical outlets around for guests to conveniently use. Each table is arranged with an additional lamp, providing adequate light for guests but still maintaining a quiet, cozy space. Besides, the shop still has a row of low chairs for customers to chat, but everyone who comes here maintains the common space and speaks very softly, which makes me like it even more. The way to get to the shop is a bit difficult, it's easiest to find using Google Map :3 ☕️ The menu is diverse from coffee to tea, I tried an apple mint tea and a salty roasted rice cream tea. My apple mint tea has a bit of a strong mint flavor, and the tea is also a bit too sweet. If I could reduce these two ingredients, I think the tea would fit better. My friend complimented me on roasted rice tea that it was delicious, light in taste and easy to drink. Before I went there, I saw a story about the shop uploading carot cakes and cinamon rolls, so I was curious to try them out. Unfortunately, the day I visited, the shop didn't have those two cakes huhu :( If anyone has tried them, please review them and let me know, I like them. Very nice carot cake #historicallandmarks #localguides #goodfoods #foodphotography #coffeeshop #bar #cafe

LONG NIGHT.S

A coffee shop at the bottom of the alley is right, Trang Thi street is a one-way street so to find the shop, you have to search slowly, otherwise it takes a lot of effort to find it from the beginning. The shop has no sign, the facade is pretty rough but it's pretty when you enter the space, discreet cozy style suitable for dating. Long Nights has two floors, 1st floor seems to be towards a group of friends for weekend chat, 2nd floor lots of sofas to sleep on, winter is cuddly here c-like it. The second floor area also has a mini projector for your comfort to use, projecting anything. Whenever it's sunny, the bar space is filled with golden rays that look good with poetry. The shop is so empty, I sit all morning without seeing any customers. Hopefully after this article, more people will know the shop more for the owner to be happy I used a plum coldbrew but not impressed, coldbrew was bitterly sweet so it lost the taste of coffee. Specific drinks need to be improved even more. a #songkran2024 #cherryblossom2024 #historicallandmarks #localguides #foodphotography #goodfoods #coffeeshop #cafe

Minh Lam

#100waysoftravel A relaxing, cozy place, with a stylish design and refined and pure drinks. Minh Lam Teahouse with a rustic and sophisticated Asian design, spacious 2-storey space, high ceiling and harmonious interior system. A highlight and something that I quite like at Minh Lam is the large Cau Giay lamp system that creates a feeling of relaxation and "Zen" spirit. Using ancient tea from the highlands of Vietnam, exploited and processed by hand. Although the signature is tea, the overall menu is diverse, with coffee, fruit juice and cakes. I tried Oolong tea with nut milk combined with dew pearls (sweet potato powder + tapioca starch). The tea is fragrant, the layer of oat milk is rich and fatty, although it is milk tea, the ingredients are friendly to health and vegetarians can also try it.

CAFÉ AGURI

CAFÉ AGURI

#favouritecafe Japan, minimalist space is quite cozy. The area of the shop is not too large, so the shop also arranges quite a few tables and chairs so that the space is not cramped. The shop has a small loft area with a mini projector to watch movies, which is quite good, sitting and gathering with friends is great. I like sitting in the outdoor area, especially on sunny and warm days like this sitting and chilling, watching the beautiful streets of Hanoi at the end of the year. The shop's menu is diverse, with many new drinks, this shop invests a lot in coffee, but it's a pity that I didn't have breakfast that day so I didn't have a chance to try it. I tried Houjicha, it was okay, I liked both the space and the food. Address: 3 VAN MIEU, DONG DA, HANOI

DEEP SII

Deep Sii has a new facility, taking advantage of the beautiful weather, the cafes open regularly, I like it. The new Deep Sii is a bit difficult to find but compensates for a much wider space than the previous facilities. In front of the shop is a common park of the area, so the view is cool. The indoor space has two floors, aimed at the guest who needs space to work/study so all tables and chairs used are high tables and chairs, have soft cushions and more importantly power outlets everywhere. The second floor has another large glass window umbrella, I came in on a windy day and said it's not spicy, sitting next to the window umbrella thinking that I'm the leading lady in some heartless music video. There is also a corner of the 2nd floor area reserved for a painting exhibition, even though it's small, it can take many beautiful photos ☕️ Call a drink in Sai a chair because it's not a table. I tried Sii Foam very addictive, very addictive but my croffle was a bit dry that day, not as good as the first time I ate at Van Phuc.. #songkran2024 #mytravelhacks #goodfoods #cherryblossom2024 #historicallandmarks #localguides #cafe #coffeeshop

Rode a motorcycle for good food

#newyearadventure Tried out a motorcycle food tour when in Ha Noi, and it's definitely a touristy thing to do. Rode as a pillion rider on a motorcycle was really cool as we got to experience how the rider rode and avoided the jaywalkers. Also, we got to try out and enjoy some food that we might never get to try or attempt to try if we were on our own. The experience of the food tour and having rode on a motorcycle was really nice. Besides bringing us to try out the local stalls, be it a shop or by the roadside, the guide made an effort to introduce the history and culture of the city to us. It's definitely an eye-opener for us

Lẩu A Híu

Hanoi is really in autumn, the season of hot pot and grill is on the rise. I just discovered a delicious and cheap hot pot restaurant, with a view of Ngoc Khanh Lake, looking straight at Lotte building from only 70 VND/person. The 3 of us ordered a 179-ca Ocean Fish Hot Pot, which got us a huge fish. The fish here is fried to reduce the fishy smell. The fish meat is very fresh, sweet, and not mushy at all. Especially, the green pepper salt here is the restaurant's exclusive recipe, which is super delicious, it goes well with fish, and even better with seafood. I'm a normal person who rarely eats fish, but when I tried the first bite, I was blown away because it was so delicious. The hot pot broth was sour and spicy, the dipping sauce was great, plus the lake view was so chill. The vegetables were also fresh and really clean. The restaurant also has Thai Hot Pot, I will definitely come back to try it. After every table finished eating, the owner would come around to ask if it was to our taste, if anything needed to be adjusted, and then thank us very enthusiastically. This time we ordered iced tea and cucumbers, which only cost 70 cents each. Hotpot is perfect for this weather, I highly recommend A Hieu. #historicallandmarks #localguides #goodfoods #foodphotography #restaurant #foodie

Phe chay

#vietnamtrip Phe chay is a coffee shop with dishes made from plant ingredients, I accidentally saw the chill chill garden of the shop on IG and it looked so cool so I had to come and try it. The shop is hidden deep in San Quan alley on Kham Thien street (this is also the first time I know about this alley). The shop has a small and pretty space with 3 floors, with the 1st and 3rd floors being open outdoor spaces and the 2nd floor being an indoor area with cool air conditioning. As mentioned above, I like the 3rd floor area the most, simply a small and pretty yard with lots of green trees, with wooden branches interwoven above, so every time there is sunlight, the whole yard lights up in streaks. As for the decor, it's quite old, creating a peaceful and cozy feeling when you first step in. I find the 2nd floor a bit dark, I hope the restaurant will arrange more lights. I see that the vegetarian menu has quite a few dishes such as vegetarian vermicelli soup, porridge with pork belly, fermented pork rolls, etc. There are too many options, but I'm a Libra so I chose the combo with both drinks and food. The Le Te Phe combo includes 1 vegetarian vermicelli soup and 1 signature drink (I used Moc Chi tea - jasmine oolong, lychee, pandan leaves). The vermicelli soup here is delicious ~ the broth is light and sour (the highlight of the bowl of vermicelli), the toppings are as plentiful as regular vermicelli soup must try. Address: 15 Ng. Dong Cafe

Dong Cafe

An open space cafe, looks quite personality. The shop is suitable for quick coffee, meeting friends, or sitting alone to chill, but for work is not an option. And you should avoid the time when office people sit, because it will be a bit noisy. The menu is diverse, there are signature items, and the cups here are also quite beautiful. The latte is hot and smooth, the milk is quite greasy, maybe double shots are just for my taste. The mouth of the porcelain cup is flared, so drinking feels smooth. After that, I will definitely try some of the shop's special items such as: Dong Giao (coffee, fresh milk & honey), Dong Dong (egg coffee), Dong Muoi (Ame, salty cream), Dong Co (fat cream coffee) Quite commending the shop's takeaways with thoughtful and environmentally friendly packaging —— Address: Dong cafe - No. 8 Trung Yen 5, Cau Giay, Hanoi (from Lane 1 Trung Hoa) Open Hours: 07:30-22:30 25,000-50,000 🚬 Smoking in outer space 🏍There is a parking space for motorbikes 🚘Car parking available 💳With bank transfer/momo #coffeeshop
