A gathering of wonders, capturing dreamy light and shadows: Galle Ancient City, with mottled city walls, European-style buildings and the azure Indian Ocean; Horton Plains, with misty clouds and vast grasslands resembling the Wizard of Oz; Mirissa Beach, with golden sands and whales chasing the waves. From ancient cities to the seaside, from mountains to jungles, Sri Lanka's diverse scenery provides endless inspiration for travel photography.

Cultural cultivation, unique charm: Sri Lanka travel photography is rooted in local culture. The photographer captured the Buddha's Birthday celebration and the working moments of tea pickers in the tea garden and integrated them into the images; the makeup draws on local customs and highlights the exotic style; the clothing selection combines traditional clothing elements with modern design, such as the modified sari, which has both national charm and is convenient for travel photography, showing the charm of Sri Lanka's fusion of ancient and modern times.

Intimate service, enjoy a worry-free journey: Local travel photography vendors in Sri Lanka usually provide comfortable transportation and ample time for shooting, so you can capture the highlights throughout the journey; photographers patiently guide poses and capture beautiful angles, and makeup artists change makeup according to the scene and touch up makeup at any time to ensure that the entire travel photography is flawless.

When you return with full of memories, those travel photos will become the magic key to Sri Lanka. Every time you look at them, you can feel the breeze of the Indian Ocean on your face again, making you eager to set foot on this land again and continue your magical relationship with Sri Lanka.

| Jetwing Saman Villas - A dreamland for adults only. Today, I must recommend this amazing Jetwing Saman Villas🏡, which is for adults only, and the private atmosphere is full of romance! 🌊【Stunning sea view】 The villa is located by the sea, and you can see the blue sea when you open the window. The outdoor bathtub is the highlight. You can take a bath at night with the stars🛀, enjoying the quiet time for two. Sri Lanka|Galle is simply a vacation paradise

Sri Lanka|Galle is simply a vacation paradise

Galle's history is also a history of colonization. Galle Fort was first built by the Portuguese in the 16th century. Later, the Dutch occupied Galle and built the city walls. Most of the buildings in Galle Fort today were constructed during the Dutch period. Afterward, the British drove out the Dutch and remained until Sri Lanka gained independence. Today, Galle Fort has become a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is a living ancient city. The place is filled with exotic charm, with the scent of spices and sea breeze in the air. If you visit Sri Lanka, you can skip other cities, but you must, must visit Galle. -

A Masterpiece: Geoffrey Bawa's Lighthouse Hotel

A Masterpiece: Geoffrey Bawa's Lighthouse Hotel

The Lighthouse Hotel is one of the masterpieces of Geoffrey Bawa, a national treasure architect of Sri Lanka, known for his unique design concepts and superb architectural skills. This hotel is not only a perfect blend of architecture and nature, but also a concentrated expression of Bawa's design philosophy. 1. Seamless integration of architecture and nature One of Bawa's core design concepts is respect for nature, and the Lighthouse Hotel perfectly embodies this: - Built on a mountain, facing the sea: The hotel is located on a rocky cliff overlooking the Indian Ocean, with the architecture closely integrated with the terrain, as if growing out of the rock. - Open space design: Bawa uses open corridors, courtyards, and patios to bring natural light, sea breeze, and views into the interior, blurring the boundaries between indoors and outdoors. - Borrowed scenery: Every corner of the hotel offers stunning sea views or lush greenery, allowing guests to feel the charm of nature at all times. 2. Iconic lighthouse tower - Traditional lighthouse design: The central tower of the hotel is modeled after traditional Sri Lankan lighthouses, serving as both a symbol of the hotel and a vantage point for viewing. - Light and shadow effects: The interior of the tower is designed with clever light and shadow effects, creating a mysterious and romantic atmosphere, especially at sunset when sunlight streams through the tower's windows, creating a breathtaking scene. 3. The magic of light, shadow, and space Bawa is known as the "master of light and shadow," and he fully demonstrates this talent in the design of the Lighthouse Hotel: - Use of natural light: Through skylights, floor-to-ceiling windows, and open corridors, Bawa brings natural light into every corner of the building, creating rich light and shadow effects. - Layered space design: The hotel's space design is full of layers, with corridors, staircases, and courtyards interconnected, forming a flowing spatial experience. 4. Combination of local culture and modernism Bawa's design is both modern and full of local cultural flavor: - Application of traditional elements: The hotel's interior is decorated with a large number of traditional Sri Lankan handicrafts, sculptures, and murals, showcasing the charm of local culture. - Modern minimalist style: The overall style of the architecture is simple and atmospheric, with smooth lines, reflecting the design concept of modernism. 5. Meticulous attention to materials and details - Use of natural materials: Bawa uses a large amount of wood, stone, and cement in his design, creating a rustic yet luxurious atmosphere. - Detail design: Every detail, from door handles to lighting fixtures, is carefully designed. The design highlights of the Lighthouse Hotel lie in its perfect integration of architecture and nature, clever use of light, shadow, and space, combination of local culture and modernism, and meticulous attention to detail. It is not just a hotel, but a work of art, showcasing Geoffrey Bawa's extraordinary talent as a master architect. If you are interested in architecture, design, or natural landscapes, the Lighthouse Hotel is definitely a destination worth exploring! 🌟 🏨

Bawa Lighthouse Hotel | A Lonely, Disconnected Hotel

Bawa Lighthouse Hotel | A Lonely, Disconnected Hotel

| A lonely, disconnected hotel. The overall design of Jetwing Lighthouse gives me a sense of loneliness and disconnect. Loneliness: In this grassy field, a staircase leading to an unknown destination and a lone tree striving to grow within the building remind me of a world from a video game, though I can't quite place which one. It's as if it were an adventure game designed specifically for solitary travelers, facing the vast, gray Indian Ocean, walking alone on life's journey, never knowing where the next step will lead. Perhaps this is the contemplation the design evokes, or maybe it's just my own whimsical imagination. Disconnect: Upon entering the hotel lobby, a grand spiral staircase adorned with sculptures of warriors on horseback catches the eye. The struggling postures and panicked expressions of the sculptures bring to mind the soldiers who stubbornly resisted and defended their homeland during Sri Lanka's colonial period. This starkly contrasts with the five-star resort hotel, a seemingly defiant satire left by Bawa to colonialism. I wonder what tourists from developed countries think when they see this scene, perhaps it doesn't ripple their pleasant travel mood. The battlefield where their ancestors fought to the death hasn't made life better for the people of this land. Though the war has ceased, the reaping of capital continues.

OLDEST LIGHT STATION: GALLE LIGHTHOUSE.

OLDEST LIGHT STATION: GALLE LIGHTHOUSE.

The Galle Lighthouse (also known as Pointe de Galle Light) is an onshore lighthouse in Galle, Sri Lanka and is operated and maintained by the Sri Lanka Ports Authority. This is Sri Lanka's oldest light station. The current 26.5 m-high (87 ft) concrete lighthouse was erected by the British about 100 m (330 ft) from the original site in 1939. The original light was furnished with a glass prism lens floating in a bath of mercury (to reduce friction) and was powered by a weight driven machine.[citation needed] The light station is within the walls of the ancient Galle Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and well known tourist attraction. The lighthouse is strategically located at the southern end of the promontory, built approximately 6 m (20 ft) above the road level on the ramparts, at what is known as the Point Utrecht Bastion, giving it full view of any ships entering Galle Harbour.
