Wudadao Area

Wudadao area or Five Great Avenue in Tianjin. ✅This is a historical part of the city, located in downtown. It’s a former German concession, later it became a residence for local politicians, or famous people. Buildings here are in European style. Walking all around those streets it’s possible to forget that you are in China. Buildings represent the part of Tianjin history. Some of them became museums. But lots of houses function right now like cafes, bars or restaurants. Almost in every street you will find an unusual stylish place to drink a cup of coffee. Walk or take a bike and ride all around! You will not regret! #bucketlistreboot

Tianjin Five Great Avenues: Tianjin's Exclusive Romance

Tianjin Five Great Avenues: Tianjin's Exclusive Romance

📚Five Great Avenues, officially known as the Five Great Avenues Historical and Cultural District, was originally part of the British Concession. After the Tianjin British Concession was established on December 17, 1860, this area was designated as part of the concession. After the 1911 Xinhai Revolution, many Qing Dynasty imperial relatives and remnants of the old order moved from Beijing to live in the Tianjin Concession, making the Five Great Avenues area a "country within a country." In the 1960s, Tianjin's urban construction department designated this area as the "Five Great Avenues" for unified management. It is a national 4A-level scenic spot. 📚The architectural styles of the Five Great Avenues are mostly Greek, Renaissance, Gothic, and Romantic. It has more than 2,000 garden-style houses built in the 1920s and 1930s, including more than 300 well-preserved buildings and former residences of famous people. Tianjin's Hidden Gem Coffee Shop | 12 Stay Coffee is so beautiful!

Tianjin's Hidden Gem Coffee Shop | 12 Stay Coffee is so beautiful!

| 12 Stay Coffee is so beautiful! I had heard that 12 Stay Coffee was particularly beautiful, so I came with a friend. Before we even went inside, we were attracted by the decorations at the door and took a lot of photos. This is a coffee shop that not only satisfies your taste buds, but also provides a visual feast. There are three floors in total, and it's a paradise for taking photos! Each floor has a different view, and they all look great in photos. The third floor is my favorite black and white style, simple and elegant, advanced and eye-catching, and every corner exudes a unique charm. We deliberately chose to come in the afternoon on a weekday, when there were relatively few people, so it was easier to take photos. The coffee and desserts were good, and the guy in the shop looked a bit like a mixed-race person, so handsome, hahaha. My friend and I took photos while listening to soft music, and the bubbles outside the window rose into the air, making romance tangible at this moment. 📍Address: 12 Stay Coffee, Tai'an Road, Heping District

A newly popular stunning check-in spot, Tianjin's little "Anaya"

📸 Discovered a new check-in spot by chance, featuring a huge copper "Thousand Li of Rivers and Mountains" and a "Floating Art Museum", incredibly eye-catching and beautiful! 🏛️ The main building is a stylish sales center, which houses a small art exhibition, 🆓 free to visit, mainly displaying European sculptures, paintings, and a few items. 🌞 The lobby is very high with a glass roof that provides excellent lighting, creating a full atmosphere. 📸 The second floor is a negotiation area, but there is a viewing window that overlooks the first-floor exhibition hall, offering a superb perspective that captures the spacious yet atmospheric elegance of the museum, and the simplicity of art. 💐 Outside the museum, there is a small garden area that is not very large, but the variety and color of the plants and flowers are quite rich. Perhaps after just having seen the European exhibits, it's not quite appropriate, but it reminds one of Monet's garden. ⛲ Whether it's the water outside the museum or the floor tiles inside, the overall art of reflection is very skillful, adding a sense of depth. Outside, white mist is created near the ground to enhance the overall atmosphere. 🌲 Some areas on the ground are covered with white pebbles, and there are several welcoming pines planted, blending the modern minimalist style of the "Floating Art Museum" with the classical "Thousand Li of Rivers and Mountains" very well. The fusion of ancient and modern, East and West, is truly brilliant! 🆔 Name: Hidden Emerald Pavilion·Floating Art Museum 📍 Address: Intersection of Xianyang Road and Weishui Road 🚇 Transportation: Metro Line 2 Xianyang Road Station . Discovering the Beauty of Jizhou - Impressions of Panshan, Part Two

Discovering the Beauty of Jizhou - Impressions of Panshan, Part Two

The previous article described the process of walking up the mountain from the main entrance of the Panshan scenic area to Tiancheng Temple. This time, it continues from Tiancheng Temple to the mid-mountain Wansong Temple, which is also the endpoint of this Panshan climbing journey. Because during the off-season (December 1st to May 31st of the following year), only the lower and part of the middle sections of Panshan are open, which means that the rest of the middle section and the entire upper section are closed due to the off-season and their scenery cannot be appreciated (such as the South Heaven Gate, Yunzhao Temple, and Wufeng Bashi on the upper section). I have some reservations about this, as many mountain-themed scenic spots in the country do not operate this way. For example, Huangshan only rotates a main peak like Lotus Peak or Tiandu Peak for rest each year due to environmental protection factors; if it is said that it is somewhat far-fetched to close due to icy roads and safety reasons in winter, because the water in the pools along the way from the entrance to the mid-mountain has already frozen, but there has been no recent snowfall and there is no snow on the road, so there are no unsafe factors; I think it is more for economic reasons: there are fewer people entering the mountain in winter, and the cable car, especially the Yun Song cable car, does not cover the operating costs with ticket revenue. The Panshan cable car is divided into the Ruyin cable car from the bottom of the mountain to the mid-mountain (60 yuan), and the Yun Song cable car from the mid-mountain to the Guayue Peak (60 yuan). Both cable car stations are near Wansong Temple, where you can choose to return or continue upwards after visiting Wansong Temple and the nearby scenery. There is a path to Wansong Temple from the east side of the San Sheng Hall of Tiancheng Temple, which is all stairway, winding and twisting but not very difficult to climb. There are platforms or flat paths for rest after a short section of stairs, unlike Huangshan, Taishan, Songshan, etc., where sometimes there are four or five hundred steps without any place to rest, making it difficult to advance or retreat, which is truly desperate. The weather today is very clear and there is no wind, it is not cold on the mountain at all, and the peaks, valleys, and vegetation of the surrounding mountains are very clear. The sun is warm on the body, and the Arhat Garden is completely different from what I imagined. It is not a separate garden, but the entire mountain path from Tiancheng Temple to Wansong Temple. Along the way, every so often, there is a group of Arhat figures, either statues or carvings, of various sizes and numbers, but all lifelike and vivid. Passing through the Divine Cow Blessed Land rest area, 'East Wutai Mountain', 'Stone Egg Mountain', 'Immortal Arch', and arriving at the Wansong Sacred Realm and the ancient and modern stone arches of Fengyue, there is a pagoda area with stone pagodas that all seem to be newly built in recent years. It is said to consist of ninety-nine tombs of high monks from past generations, until I saw a pagoda of Taiping Zen Master from the Ming Dynasty, which was clearly different in color and shape from the other stone pagodas, with a brick base, hexagonal and five stories, exquisite and solemn, and soon arrived in front of Wansong Temple. Wansong Temple, formerly known as Li Jing Hermitage and Wei Gong Hermitage, was built during the Tang Dynasty. The famous Tang general Li Jing once lived here. Wansong Temple was named by Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty when he visited here in the 44th year of Kangxi and saw that the temple was surrounded by pine trees. Wansong Temple is the largest temple in Panshan. The temple complex faces south from the north, entering from the red wall and red tile Shanmen Hall, with Maitreya Buddha facing the entrance, Wei Tuo behind, and the Four Heavenly Kings on both sides. Entering the first courtyard, to the north is the Mahavira Hall on the stairs, with two-story bell and drum towers on the east and west sides, and a towering iron incense burner below the stairs. Climbing the stairs to the front of the Mahavira Hall, the vertical plaque 'Wansong Temple' hangs under the upper eaves, and the outside of the hall has the inscription 'A piece of stone and a lone cloud peering at the color, a clear pool and bright eyes reflecting the Zen heart'. Inside the hall, the three Buddhas, Shakyamuni, Amitabha, and the Medicine Buddha, are enshrined, with white marble Buddhist story murals on both sides of the walls. Passing through the Mahavira Hall to the north is the second courtyard, with directional signs, to the east is the Ruyin cable car station for descending the mountain, and to the north is the Yun Song cable car station for ascending the mountain. Further north up the stairs is the two-story Jade Buddha Hall, with a well platform on the east side and a very small Dragon King Temple on the north side, and the well platform to the east leads to the Bucun Pavilion in front of the Yun Song cable car. North of the Jade Buddha Hall is the Thousand Buddha Hall, with a bronze statue of Shakyamuni inside, and the mud sculptures of the Eighteen Arhats on the northeast and west sides of the hall, starting with the odd-numbered Arhats on the east side and the even-numbered Arhats on the west side, with a reclining Guanyin behind, and a Thousand-Handed Guanyin inside. Exiting Wansong Temple to the west of the mountain gate, I saw the 'First Mountain in East Beijing' carved on five square stones on the shadow wall, with a camel-shaped stone on the side in front of the shadow wall that looks very similar, with 'Famous Mountain Ancient Temple' carved on the south side of the stone and eight poems written by Qianlong about Panshan on the north side. Outside the gate of Wansong Temple on the east side, I saw the Taiping Zen Master Pagoda that I had seen on the way to Wansong Temple, and nearby there was the 'Carefree Travel' carved on the stone face, and the Sword Dance Platform where Li Jing practiced swordsmanship while accompanying Emperor Taizong Li Shimin on his eastern campaign and staying here, which I regret not being able to see due to the closed roads in the off-season. From the courtyard of the Mahavira Hall of Wansong Temple to the east, there is a small path leading to the Ruyin cable car station for descending the mountain. Just out of the east gate of the temple, I saw the wind-bent pine growing out of the cliff outside the stone railing, and halfway to the cable car station, I saw a large stone with the inscription 'Luoyue Songfeng', with the name of the pine tree 'Longteng Song' on it, which comes from the phrase 'to and fro Luoyue Songfeng' in the Song Dynasty Wang Xin's lyrics 'Shao Pian'. Soon I arrived at the cable car station, and it only took eight minutes to descend the mountain by the Ruyin cable car, while it took nearly two hours to walk up the mountain. Overall, Panshan is quite good in the mountains of the north, but it seems to lack water, and therefore a bit of spirituality. Although Qianlong once said 'If I had known about Panshan, why would I need to go to the south of the Yangtze River', a phrase used by the scenic area for promotion, he would definitely still go to the south of the Yangtze River. Some details of the scenic area need to be improved: 1. There is no brochure for the scenic area. 2. The staff use electric tools to blow leaves, causing noise. 3. Try to open more middle and upper sections of the scenic spots under suitable weather conditions in winter.

A visual feast awaits at the new internet-famous Ronin Garden.

A visual feast awaits at the new internet-famous Ronin Garden.

When you step into this magical area, the first thing that catches your eye is the "dreamy sea of flowers" that spans over 2,000 square meters. It's like a palette of nature, with vibrant and dazzling colors. Over 120,000 lifelike hydrangeas and 36,000 blooming chrysanthemums complement each other. The flowers cascade like a waterfall, flowing into a sea of flowers, making you feel like you're in a fairy tale world. Each flower is showing off its beauty, and as the breeze blows, the petals sway gently, as if nodding to every visitor. Whether it's a sunny day or a sunset, this sea of flowers offers a unique view, making it a perfect backdrop for photos. Walking along the flower path, you'll come to an indoor space full of artistic atmosphere - "Shakespeare's Courtyard." Here, drama art and plant scenes are combined to perfectly recreate classic scenes from Shakespeare's plays. It's as if the scenes from Shakespeare's pen have traveled through time and space to appear before us. You can see Shakespeare and his friends' tea table, imagining them chatting and exchanging literary inspiration; there's also Shakespeare's study, with old books and quill pens, telling the story of Shakespeare's creations. The indoor art installations are also unique, with bird-shaped designs adding a touch of liveliness and fun to the space, making you feel like you're in Shakespeare's world of drama, experiencing the fusion and collision of literature and art. The uniqueness of Ronin Garden lies not only in its beautiful scenery and artistic atmosphere but also in its excellent location. It's located at the southeast corner of the intersection of Jinggangshan Road and Wangchuanchang No. 1 Road in Hedong District, Tianjin, with convenient transportation. It's close to Shunchiqiao Station on Metro Line 2, making it easy for both local residents and tourists to reach. The surrounding facilities are also complete, with shopping malls, schools, hospitals, etc., providing great convenience for travel and life. As an internet-famous check-in spot, Ronin Garden offers a stunning visual feast, rich cultural heritage, and convenient transportation. Whether you're a fashionista who loves taking photos, a cultural enthusiast who loves literature and art, or an ordinary citizen looking for a good place to relax, this place can meet all kinds of needs. Tranquility & All-round Perfection

#waterpark If you are in the city of Tianjin, and you are looking for "The Park", well, then this is the place to go. The "Shuishang Park" is arguably the best park in Tianjin. Visitors will be spoilt for choice, from lush greenery, lovely lakes and Traditional Chinese Buildings. It's easy to navigate around the park, as the signage is well positioned and bilingual. Visitors can go for boat rides on the lake, weather permitting of course. Note: The boat rides are inexpensive, however, they charge a hefty deposit (thus don't go, if you are short of cash on that day). The Amusement park forms part of the water park. Definitely, a must go, if you are looking to escape the hustle and bustle of the City.

I'll definitely come back to Jizhou... and stay at this Jiangnan-style courtyard for a hot spring bath.

🍂 It's so comfortable to visit Jizhou and take a hot spring bath in autumn. It's far from the crowd and you can enjoy the tranquility of the mountains and forests. ~ About the hot spring bath🌳 The pool is located in the middle of the courtyard, and the view is super beautiful. The key is that there are few people! The hotel is very private‼️ And the pool water is changed for each guest🎗 It should be even more beautiful if you go when it snows in Jizhou🌳 ~ About the hotel🏡 The room hardware is up to the standard of a luxury hotel. The rooms on the second floor and the side rooms have the best views. The downside is that they are far from the pool, but the view is really super good. You can see the mountain view and sunrise and sunset at the same time🌅 Many people go to the terrace to take photos. It's the best place to watch the sunset. The service is worth mentioning. You can make tea around the bonfire at night, sit in the courtyard without feeling cold, and have a BBQ. ~ About the food🍲 The stewed fish at the homestay is really delicious. Because it's located in a deep mountain garden, you can hardly order takeout. You can only choose to eat at the hotel or take a shuttle bus to the city for lunch and dinner. We chose to eat in the courtyard and it was a pleasant surprise😊 ~ Nearby attractions🪵 The hotel is in a great location. Jizhou Cave, Jizhou International Ski Resort, Limutai Scenic Area, Che Shenjia Scenic Area, Huangyaguan Great Wall, Cliff Coffee, 233 Coffee, Xijingyu Cultural Village, and Dule Temple are all within 30 minutes. It's far from the room, and the courtyard is surrounded by mountains on all four sides. It's amazing‼️
