The Roman Town is very suitable for couples to take wedding photos

The Roman Town is very suitable for couples to take wedding photos

I wandered around the Roman Town in the Expo Garden, with many European-style buildings. The Roman Town is a great place for taking photos, with many soon-to-be-married couples shooting their wedding photos here, featuring classic architecture and French castles, the whole European architectural style~ The place is not very big, and if you are not particularly interested in European architecture, there is really no need to make a special trip here to check in. It takes almost an hour by subway from the city center.

Shaanxi Xi'an | Must-visit attractions for first-timers in Xi'an

Shaanxi Xi'an | Must-visit attractions for first-timers in Xi'an

Xi'an was once the capital of thirteen dynasties, leaving behind a treasure trove of history and culture as numerous as the stars. The imposing ancient city walls, the bustling Muslim Quarter, and the world-renowned Terracotta Army are all favorites among tourists from all over. The following attractions are the most popular in Xi'an and are suitable for first-time visitors. The sites are concentrated in the city center and the eastern suburbs, including historical monuments, food districts, and city landmarks, which can be fully explored in 3 days. Top1 Terracotta Army 🌟 Highlight: One of the eight wonders of the world, a vast site ❤ Recommended because: The Terracotta Army (Mausoleum of the First Qin Emperor Museum) is located in the Lintong District to the east of Xi'an, about an hour's drive from the city center. It attracts millions of domestic and international tourists every year to witness this 'eighth wonder of the world.' This massive underground formation, even after thousands of years, still features lifelike facial expressions on the soldiers, with clear details of their clothing and even the lines on the soles of their shoes visible. The museum is divided into Pit 1, Pit 2, Pit 3, and the Exhibition Hall of Bronze Chariots and Horses. Pit 1 displays thousands of terracotta warriors, a grand and spectacular scene; Pit 2 has not been excavated on a large scale, but the unearthed soldiers are more exquisite. The green-faced warrior currently on display at the Shaanxi History Museum was discovered here. Who knows, maybe the ground beneath your feet holds a future world-famous treasure; Pit 3, the 'command post,' has unearthed warriors and chariots not found in Pits 1 and 2, the smallest area but the most special. 🕙 Business hours: Ticket and opening hours Regular ticket: 120 yuan/person (discounts available on Ctrip) Peak season: 8:30~17:00 (March 1st - end of November) Off-season: 8:30~16:30 (December 1st - end of February next year) ⏳ Visiting time: 2 and a half hours is enough to fully explore Pits 1, 2, 3, and the Exhibition Hall of Bronze Chariots and Horses. 🚉 Transportation strategy: Take the subway line 9 to Huaqingchi Station and transfer to Lintong 613 for the Terracotta Army; or take subway line 1 to the Textile City Hub Station and transfer to bus route 5 or 306. 📝tips: Nearby attractions to visit: Huaqing Palace 🌟 Highlight: Huaqing Palace was a royal bathing resort throughout the dynasties, made even more famous by Yang Guifei's bathing here. The biggest attraction is the hot springs, in addition to the garden landscapes, ancient buildings, and famous trees and cultural relics. Moreover, because of the ancient Tang-style architecture, it's very easy to take beautiful photos while wearing Hanfu here. 🕙 Business hours: Monday to Sunday 07:30-18:00 🚉 Transportation strategy: Bus: Take bus 307/Lintong 602/Lintong 613 to Huaqingchi Bus Station to arrive—Subway: Take subway line 9 to Huaqingchi Subway Station to arrive

The Great Tang Furong Garden is a large-scale royal garden-style cultural theme park that fully displays the style of the Tang Dynasty. It is rebuilt in the style of the royal gardens of the Tang Dynasty, north of the original Tang Dynasty Furong Garden site. The majestic, magnificent, and elegant buildings in the garden perfectly blend with the mountains, waters, and plants, forming a series of Tang-style scrolls. The garden is elegant and hazy when the sun is slanting, and it is bright and colorful under the lights. Wandering between these styles, the heart is moved. Everywhere you can see children and beauties taking pictures in Hanfu, which is also a landscape. The ticket price is 120 yuan, a bit expensive, but still worth it.

Xi'an's current high-quality shopping mall, the "Tree of Life," is a huge hit!

Xi'an's current high-quality shopping mall, the "Tree of Life," is a huge hit!

The "Tree of Life" at the China Resources International Culture and Commerce Center (CCBD) in Xi'an is arguably the mall's biggest draw. Designed by the British architectural genius Thomas Heatherwick, it creates a brand-new shopping area in the heart of the ancient city. Located south of Yanzhan Road and east of Chang'an South Road, Xi'an CCBD covers a total construction area of over 600,000 square meters and represents a total investment of 9 billion yuan. It is a commercial complex integrating retail, office spaces, hotels, apartments, and a vertical park. The project aims to be a city landmark, leading urban and commercial development and showcasing Xi'an's modern lifestyle. As one of the largest projects ever designed by Heatherwick Studio, Xi'an CCBD pays tribute to the ancient capital's traditional craftsmanship and its historical connection to ceramics, creating a multifunctional space for visitors to relax, explore, and shop. The "Tree of Life" is a key feature of Xi'an CCBD, a modern interpretation of the ancient capital's culture and history. Legend has it that 1,400 years ago, Emperor Taizong of Tang planted a ginkgo tree at the ancient Guanyin Chan Temple. A millennium later, the ginkgo tree is still thriving. Inspired by this, the architect presents a revitalized landmark—the Tree of Life—symbolizing the eternal natural energy and enduring vitality of the East. The "Tree of Life" stands 57 meters tall, over ten meters taller than the Statue of Liberty. Its main body consists of three platforms, extending 60 giant "leaves" and encompassing seven ecological landscapes. These mimic seven typical landforms and ecosystems along the Silk Road, narrating the Silk Road journey and presenting the natural scenery of Eurasia. Here, plants are not mere decorations but serve as a link between people, nature, and time. In the future, the plants on the "Tree of Life" will change with the seasons, blooming in different forms and colors throughout the year and even throughout the day, presenting a living, colorful architectural artwork. Inspired by the traditional nested table shape, the design of Xi'an CCBD breaks down the overall commercial volume into smaller, interlocking building blocks, forming a dynamic framework and outlining open terraces for people to gather. Greenery permeates the entire design, with various local plant species planted both in the lower-level buildings and on each rooftop structure. Drawing inspiration from the Terracotta Army, Xi'an's most iconic terracotta sculptures, the design team worked closely with local artisans to develop original ceramic patterns, adding a sense of mystery and playfulness to the building's facade. This material inherits and carries forward the traditional craftsmanship of the ancient capital, creating a timeless link to its ceramic heritage.
