The rooms are quite spacious and clean, the food is quite tasty, and the location is strategic.
However, the room amenities are not representative of a 4- or 5-star hotel. The housekeeping department doesn't provide towels after the room is cleaned.
My last visit was 2020, and now I still love it, the amenities were completed and the maintenance of the building was good.
There is no hotel in Makassar would beat the best view of Losari Beach and surrounding.
This gem is runned by a very lovable couple Marla and her husband.
the place is clean and fresh close to the sea and many restaurants around.
Marla can help you with lots of info and arrange trip to anywhere with real value for your money.
Highly recommended.
When we back in Makassar we now know where to go.
Sheraton Hotel? It doesn't feel like it. The setting is very old. The decoration style feels like it was 10 years ago. There is not even a hair dryer. There is no shopping mall nearby. It is really difficult for Chinese people to go out and find some suitable food. The loudspeaker of the mosque is almost facing the hotel. The prayer at 9:00 is very loud. Fortunately, I was not woken up in the early morning.
The location is strategic, but the experience is not optimal because the hotel cleanliness is not good (the 8th floor hall ceiling leaks everywhere, the room smells musty). Amenities, towels and soap, are also very minimal
All the staff were kind to Japanese tourists.
The rooms are large and clean. (However, the water flow was a little slow, probably because the shower drain was clogged.)
At the restaurant, the chef explained each dish in detail, so we were able to enjoy delicious traditional Makassar cuisine without any hesitation. I wanted to go to a restaurant in town, but the food was so delicious that I didn't have to.
I would like to stay again the next time I visit.
I would like to visit at a time other than Ramadan to use the pool and spa and check out the facilities on the 15th floor.
I had a great time for 5 days.
Thank you! Arigato!!

GGuest UserIt’s not a bad option if you need to catch an early flight out from Hasanuddin Airport. The staff are great and welcoming. The water dispenser is very much welcomed.
But if you’re a light sleeper, you may not get any sleep here because you will hear flights landing and taking off throughout the night (it’s a busy airport!).
Rooms are not big and the facilities may need refurbishing (lime scale stains and bad drainage in the toilet need to be addressed soon).
AAnindya azaliaLocated strategically at sam ratulangi street. The staffs are not well trained, the reception doesn’t even know the meaning of TWIN BED that I had to argue with him? Showers are not properly functioning. Breakfast was quite ok…
There’s always at least one miscommunication between me and the reception staff on every each day, such a draining experience to stay at this hotel especially when you’re on vacation.
HHashmeer SulaimanStaff: Very welcoming, polite, and accommodating.
Room 5012: Comfortable bed, stunning balcony view, great air-conditioning, smooth WiFi connection.
Amenities: There's a meeting room and restaurant just beside the reception counter.
Good
• Approximately 12mins walking distance to Losari Beach.
• Nearby convenient store, Indomaret and Alfamart.
• Nearby cafe, Republik Kopi.
• Nearby places to eat, Mas Daeng, Sate Gaga, RM Bahari.
Bad
• The balcony door wasn't locked and unable to lock.
• Toilet water at times very little pressure.
• The room has a door that links to another room(501).
• Toiletries not provided.
I don't know how this hotel got a good rating, but something unexpected happened during my stay.
It was on a Saturday late night, a group of teenagers were having party in their room(501), they were drinking and smoking in the room, making so much noise and playing loud music, the worst part was they knocked on my room door 2-3 times when I was sleeping. They were not only making noise in their room but also in the corridor, they were screaming and shouting.
Probably, the counter/security personnel needs to do a patrol after 12 midnight on each floor, especially on a Saturday night, to ensure minimal noise pollution.
AAzmalClean room, nice shower and good views facing the busy city street. All staffs especially the front office and pleasant and cheerful. It's a walking distance to Ratu Mall Indah.
GGuest UserI don’t know what to say cuz I am thinking to say about the good things. the most I hate in this hotel is the wifi, it’s super poor. You need to log in with the username and password that was given by the receptionist. And then when I am connecting the wifi in my room, oh God this is disaster. So well, I am using roaming in Indonesia and my roaming went smoothly then the wifi. I even can’t open google. Or refresh my instagram. It’s super super slow. I need to go to the lobby if I wanted to use the wifi since my roaming has limited access too. And the bathroom is just too small but its unique the concept like in the airplane.
The only thing I like in this hotel is the location and the reception is super friendly, and there are many options for breakfast but mostly for Indonesian traditional foods.
GGuest UserGood is location. If you want hotel by the sea, then this is it. No other hotel offer such sea view and islands of Lae Lae. Bad points: Unfortunately the hotel is old and dirty. The lobby ceiling leaked, ac outlets are dirty. Room's cleanliness is average, chair and carpet are old and dirty. Bed sheets were a bit dirty. Everyday bath towels are smelly. No small towels for hand. Mininimum amenities. The breakfast spread is ok, fare of indonesian soto, mie ayam, various of nasi and chickens, egss, cakes fruits. The rooms is a bit damp, AC is average and noisy. Toom is thinly insulated, you can hear the noise from people talking at the alleys. Staff are friendly. This hotel should be 2 or 3 stars
