The visitor bridge is elevated about 4 to 5 meters above the warehouse floor, allowing you to observe the numerous small electric transport trains carrying containers of flowers and plants as they move along the intricate railway network below. Visitors can't get closer to the flowers than standing on the elevated walkway above the trading and transport floor. After all, the focus here is on the flowers, not the visitors. The auction rooms are located at the far end of the bridge, and visitors are not allowed to enter these rooms reserved for traders and buyers. It is reported that the daily transaction volume here reaches 30 million flowers, with a turnover of €8.8 million. Once sold, the containers are directly handed over to the buyers. Tickets can be purchased at the visitor center for €11.5. The auctions are held from Monday to Friday, 7 AM to 11 AM, with Thursday closing at 9 AM.

Overall, our trip to Amsterdam was enjoyable, but our experience at the Blue Mansion Hotel was disappointing. From the moment we arrived, we felt unwelcome. No one greeted us at reception, and the woman at the front desk, who identified herself as the manager, was extremely rude. When I mentioned her behavior, she dismissed it by saying the hotel has good ratings. Her attitude negatively impacted the start of our stay, although the male staff at the reception were much more polite and helpful. Our room (212) was in poor condition. The window was broken and couldn’t be opened, which made the warm nights uncomfortable since the air conditioning wasn’t working either. While the cleaner was friendly, the cleanliness of the room was not up to standard. Although the linen was changed, it was still dirty, and I’ve attached photos showing what appeared to be stains—possibly blood or other bodily fluids. Additionally, there were a lot of mosquitoes in the room; I’ve included a picture of one I managed to kill. Lastly, the hotel is a bit far from the city center if you rely on public transport.
