[Aga Town] Experience Japanese Fox Mask & Face Painting
What else can you do in Niigata besides skiing?
The "Kitsune-no-Yomeiri Yashiki" (Fox Bride House) offers free admission and is an interactive facility themed around the traditional "Tsugawa Fox Bride Procession." Inside, you'll find a wide variety of offerings, including exhibitions, hands-on crafting experiences, a cafe, and a souvenir shop.
The facility's most popular activity is the "Fox Mask Painting Experience," where you can freely design your own paper mask, enjoy crafting a one-of-a-kind Japanese mask, and take it home as a souvenir. There's also a fox face painting experience available.
In Japan, people love wearing these masks while attending fireworks festivals. Be sure to visit and immerse yourself in the rich local culture of Aga Town!
✨Tsugawa (Aga Town) is located in the "Kaetsu Region (central-eastern/mountainous area)" of Niigata Prefecture. The scenery along the JR train line and the route to the Fox Bride House is absolutely stunning, so get ready to snap plenty of photos!
