📍 Location & Transport My trip to Tanzania started with a flight from London to Dar Salam. From there we took a domestic flight to Arusha, the gateway to Tanzania’s safari parks. From there we began a three-day safari adventure with a driver and private chef. The journey took us through the spectacular Ngorongoro Conservation Area and the legendary Serengeti National Park, sleeping in tented camps surrounded by nature. The final stop of the trip was Dar es Salaam, reached by a short internal flight. We spent two days there exploring the coastal city before returning to London. 🦓 Activities & Highlights The safari experience was the highlight of the trip. In Serengeti National Park, we saw incredible wildlife including lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras and countless antelopes roaming freely across the savannah. The landscape is vast and dramatic, especially at sunrise when the plains are filled with golden light.The Ngorongoro Crater felt like a natural wildlife amphitheatre. Descending into the crater was unforgettable, with animals visible in every direction and an extraordinary sense of untouched wilderness. Sleeping in tents inside the parks made the experience even more immersive; at night you could hear distant animal calls echoing across the plains. Meanwhile Dar es Salaam offered a more urban atmosphere, with local markets, seafood restaurants and views of the Indian Ocean. 🍽 Food & Accommodation Having a private chef during the safari made the experience surprisingly comfortable, with freshly prepared meals even in the middle of the wilderness. after our struggle but worth hiking experience at Kilimanjaro peak, we decided for a safari adventure at The Ngorongoro Conservation Area. It is a protected 8292km area and labelled as a UNESCO World Heritage Site The main feature of the Ngorongoro Conservation is the Ngorongoro Crater, the world's largest inactive, intact and unfilled volcanic caldera. we thought it was a very expansive area where Masaai people and wildlifes live harmonily. Emanuel Mungure was our driver for a week, from September 1st to 8th, 2026. Through Ranger Safaris, we explored Tarangire National Park, Lake Manyara, Serengeti National Park, and the Ngorongoro Crater with him. We highly recommend Emanuel; he did an outstanding job. Thanks to his expertise, we saw all the animals up close. We observed lions, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, antelopes, warthogs, and monkeys from just 1–3 meters away, and others such as leopards under a tree or rhinos about 20 meters out. No matter the park, Emanuel knew every road and exactly where to spot wildlife. He shared abundant knowledge about the animals and the local culture. We just returned from our honeymoon, which began with a ranger-led safari in Tanzania, and we were fortunate to have Joshua as our guide. Over three days, we explored Tarangire, Lake Manyara, and the Ngorongoro Crater, encountering countless incredible animals. According to my 10-year-old, this was the best holiday we’ll ever have! There were 11 of us in the group, ranging from 80+ years old to a 4-year-old, on a six-day safari adventure. We managed to see everything we could have ever dreamed of, all thanks to our fantastic drivers, Yuda and Wilfred. They were incredibly knowledgeable, always happy to answer our questions, fantastic with the kids, and so kind and accommodating to all our needs. Truly, they were the best guides we could have hoped for. Among the highlights were spotting a leopard and her cub perched in a tree, feasting on an antelope, watching a serval hunt, and witnessing a lioness reunite with her family. One unforgettable moment was when our guides noticed a lone female lion in the long grass, and after observing her for a while, we saw her cubs leap with joy as she approached. It was a magical experience that we will treasure forever. The only bittersweet part of the trip was saying goodbye to Yuda and Wilfred, but we sincerely hope to stay in touch with them!

A delightful small lodge, with rooms reminiscent of Maasai huts, surrounded by a lovely, well-maintained garden. The rooms are very cute, clean, and come with a nice bathroom. The quality/price ratio is definitely good. It’s conveniently located near the airport, making it ideal for arrivals or departures from Arusha. The staff and the manager were extremely kind and welcoming. Unfortunately, I must give a negative note to the dinner, as it was served cold, and even after asking for it to be reheated, it was only slightly warmed. The meat was also very tough, possibly due to an unlucky evening. However, the breakfast was excellent. Despite this, I would definitely choose this lodge again.
