Not everyday do we see whales in the middle of the sea but our recent trip to perth, we were lucky to catch glimpse of a few humpback whales in Augusta. We joined the whale watching tour and it was worth it. The boat that took us out to sea was big and there was an outdoor area or indoor seats for you to view the whales. Do note that the boat ride was rather choppy and people do get sea sick. It is recommended that you either wear a wrist band or take a sea sick pill. The boat was well equipped with hot beverages such as coffee or tea and also vomit bags. The whole tour took 2 hours and we managed to see beautiful whales. There are a few caves in Augusta but one of the largest ones is the Jewel Cave in Perth. This crystal encrusted cave shows massive beauty and if you ask me, I would say please please go visit it because it is worth it. I visited the jewel cave with my two children, a toddler and a five year. Surprisingly, the cave trail was not difficult as there are proper pathways and stairs. It was not dark, instead it was brightly lit and my kids were not afraid throughout their whole time in the cave. In fact, they were mesmerized by the cave's beauty. The cave tour is a guided tour and last for about an hour. The guide provides a good explanation on how the cave was discovered and how the crystals are formed. Day 1 – Perth to Bunbury We kicked off in Perth and cruised down to Bunbury. Highlights included dolphin watching at Koombana Bay and a lovely walk through the Mangrove Boardwalk. The flexibility of having our own car made spontaneous stops easy and enjoyable. Day 2–3 – Margaret River Magic Next, we explored the world-renowned Margaret River wine region. From cellar doors and boutique breweries to the majestic Mammoth Cave and rugged coastline at Surfers Point, every moment was picturesque. Driving through lush vineyards and forested roads felt like a dream. Day 4 – Busselton Beauty We made our way to Busselton, home of the iconic 1.8 km-long jetty. We took the train ride to the end and visited the underwater observatory – a must-see! The beachside vibe and crystal-clear water made for a perfect relaxing day. Day 5 – Coastal Drive Back to Perth The return drive to Perth was equally scenic. We stopped at small towns and hidden beaches along the way, enjoying the freedom our rental car gave us. Day 1: Drive down from Perth. Stop by Bunbury, Busselton before reaching Margarets Beach Resort. · Had stopped by the farmer markets at Bunbury to get some fresh fruits. There is so much variety of different fruits sold by the local farmers. · Another stop at Busselton to have a lunch and wander around the area. The Besselton Jetty is not to be missed with a long jetty and a train to take if you want to enjoy the jetty. Day 2: Gnarabup Beach, White Elephant Cafe,Vasse Felix Winery, Margaret River Chocolate Factory · The white elephant cafe is just by the Gnanabup beach which serve excellent breakfast. It is always full of dinners since the morning and will close around 3pm · Many wineries in the Margaret River region and have chosen Vasse Felix. Had a distinct winery vibe and choose to pay A$10 for wine tasting to choose the drink you like. Do not forget the museum and vault within the winery. · Nearby is the Margaret River chocolate factory within a 10min drive. Another location to choose the award winning chocolate and view how chocolate is being manufactured. Day 3: Lake Cave, Augusta Beaches, Cape Leeuwin Water Wheel, Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse · Lake Cave is a must visit cave to see a limestone cave with a permanent lake inside. Cost around A$25 for an adult ticket to have a guided tour for around an hour. However the steps up and down the cave could be quite tiring. But wonderful scene within the cave which is worth the hike. · Both Cape Leeuwin Water Wheel and Lighthouse are nearby one another. Deeply underrated for its wonderful scenery. The views are just stupendous and you can feel you are just so close to the ocean, to the Nature. Both are on the extreme Southern end of the Western Australia. A Picture is worth a thousand words. #wheretogo Beautiful beach with crystal clear water. We had a stopover here during our road trip. So we just took a stroll down the beach, enjoying the sea breeze. Toilets, showers, park benches and a playground on site.

When was the last time you caught glimpses of whales right in front of you and close to you? In Singapore, it is impossible to even spot a whale in our waters, and much less the aquarium here because it is just way too big. My family and I were in Augusta Perth and during our whale watching trip and we were so so lucky! The crew onboard managed to steer the boat close enough for us to see and flim down or capture pictures of the whales. By the way, it is not just one humpback whale that we have spotted but a few humpback whales. We didn't get to see them jump out of the water like a dancing whale but we were able to see them lying or floating in the water, with the occasional water blown out of their blow hole. #celebratewithtrip #tripblazers

Just south of Margaret River this is an absolutely stunning place to visit. We booked on the tour, which are hourly and the guides are very knowledgeable, sharing lots of interesting facts and history about the cave. It's quite a way down with a few viewing platforms that break up the 250 steps! and we got to spend a few minutes at each stage to soak up the atmosphere and marvel at the formations! The tour last for about an hour and we'll worth the entrance fee. It is an amazing experience, with plenty of photo and video opportunities. I bought some crystals and keyring souvenirs in the lovely gift shop, and then visited the cafe that serves great food... we sat outside on a decking area to eat our fresh scones with jam and cream... a typical and welcome treat for me as a British person! The tour lasted for about an hour... but the experience and memories will last a lifetime! I could have easily stayed longer, just soaking up the atmosphere of this beautiful cave.
