🗓️ Durdle Door , July - 25 Degrees Celcius 🏨 Stay @Bournemouth 🍴Pack Food Hi All, after 10k views and hundreds of comments on my last Durdle Door which was very small i wanted to weight in the details for the Durdle Door only due to lots of questions raised. Thanks for all the interest ❤️✨ ❓How to go to Durdle Door ? 1. The place has a huge car park. You can drive in and daily park is around 15£ and goes up with time. 2. Busses from Bournemouth or any near coast. These hop in busses are really nice and day go over every coast there. It was around 18£ when i checked but many options. ❓Walking there from the car park ? A bit rough road.10-15 mins walk. On the hill. Left and right shores are there for the Durdle Door. The historic door is on the right hand one. While the left hand one is a beautiful, less crowded one seen on pictures. ❓What shoes to wear in the Durdle Door ? Its a bit rocky there but not harsh ones in the beach itself. Sea shoes are always a good to have. But wear shoes for your travel from car park to the shore itself. Its a 10-15 min walk and rocky. ❓What to eat there ? I would suggest packing sandwiches as there aren’t any restaurants nearby. You can find one just at the exit but haven’t tried. There are small caravans selling stuff but they open late times. Have limited options of crackers and sandwiches anf they are still at the car park so you can’t buy anything in the beach. ❓Where to stay ? I stayed at Bournemouth, 30 minutes away from the Durdle Door and travelled there with car. I also loved Bournemouth and The Hotel Best Western Plus the Connaught. You can stay at Swanage or Weymouth or Lyme Regis but i found them to be more expensive when compared. ❓Did you swim ? Yes, i did. It was 19 degrees water temperature. A bit chilly for my liking but clean and amazing one it was. Probably if the UK ever sees above 30 i will go there for the warmer swims. Bournemouth Beach was nice enough to have a lay and spend a good time. It was a sand beach which i like. Sea temperature around 21 degrees. Lots of places to eat and have a stay. Especially Urban Reef was a great lunch with sea food. The Ivy were our go to’s for a fancy dinner. Picnic Park Deli was a sweet breakfast spot with view. Again for dinner Da Mario Pizza was so lovely. Best Wester Plus The Connaught Hotel had great rooms with ac and a good spa service. Durdle Door , a nice view and sea. Sea clear and cold. Rocky beach. A must visit it was. Has a little walk so cautious of your foot wear. Not much to eat around. Sea temp around 19z Lyme Regis: Nice beach. Fossil walk activities. Found a few nice rocks. #uktrip Day 2 started quietly, but little did I know how perfect it would turn out. Woke up in Bournemouth, staying at the Royal Bath Hotel, with the calm coastal air setting the mood for the day. No fancy breakfast plans — just a classic Tesco meal deal to fuel what was about to be a long but unforgettable journey. Simple start, big plans. Later, I hopped on the bus that takes you through the forest areas towards Poole, passing through Sandbanks — honestly one of those routes where you just sit by the window and watch everything change outside. Trees, water, open roads… the ride itself felt like part of the adventure. Got dropped off at the bus stop for Old Harry Rocks, and that’s where the real Day 2 began. We started the trek from there, and wow — that walk towards Old Harry Rocks was something else. The views, the fresh air, the cliffs, the sea stretching endlessly… it was peaceful, freeing, and genuinely one of those moments where you forget about everything else. The trail was beautiful from start to finish, and I enjoyed every step of it. One of those days where your legs are tired but your mind feels lighter. After a full day of walking and soaking in nature, the evening was all about celebrating. Ended the day with the best dinner — pizza and a glass of wine at RL Murrino Beach & Bar Restaurant 🍕🍷. As if the day wasn’t already special enough, they surprised me with a slice of cake since it was my birthday 🥹🎂 — a small gesture that genuinely made the night. But of course, the day couldn’t end there. To finish things off properly, I headed to Cameo Nightclub for some partying, music, and late-night energy. Day 1 began with coastal air and no rush — exactly how a trip should start. Touched down in Bournemouth and kicked things off with lunch at Harry Ramsden’s because honestly… burger + beer by the sea just hits different 🍔🍺. No schedule, no pressure, just good food and the sound of waves in the background. Since it was my first day, I decided to take it slow. Checked into the hotel, took a breather, and let the travel fatigue fade away. Later, I headed out to roam around Bournemouth beach, walking along the shoreline, watching the waves roll in, and just soaking in the calm. Sometimes the best plans are the unplanned ones. Ended the day back at the hotel, relaxed, recharged, and ready for what was coming next. Day 2 was for views, walking, and a bit of chaos 😅 Left early for Durdle Door, went up the track, and finally saw it in real life — one of those views that actually looks better than the pictures. After that, some trekking, then sitting by the beach, taking it all in, doing absolutely nothing for a while. Peaceful, quiet, and unreal. But the walking didn’t stop there. Headed towards the other end and trekked all the way to Lulworth Cove — tired legs but worth every step. While waiting for the bus back, I grabbed a burger and chips… or at least I tried to. In the blink of an eye, a seagull decided it was his lunch now 🕊️😭. Embarrassing? Yes. Funny? Also yes. To make it even better, the restaurant shut right after — no second burger, no revenge. Eventually made my way home, ordered Domino’s, relaxed, laughed about the chaos, and called it a day. Beach walks, long treks, iconic views, stolen burgers, and zero regrets. I discovered this hotel in July '24 after trying several others on Bournemouth East Cliff, and it was by far the BEST. I booked again for July '25, and once more, everything met my expectations. The reception, restaurant, and housekeeping staff were all exceptionally friendly and efficient. My room, with its terrace/balcony and breathtaking sea views, was wonderful. The three-course dinner and buffet breakfast—with both full English and continental options—were fantastic. Add to that the refreshing swimming pool during the hot weather, and it truly made for the perfect holiday!

#hellochristmas Particular the story of the polar bear ... in the morning I had absolutely seen nothing but in the afternoon ... the magic of the sunlight that illuminates the white of the limestone rock ... gave us this beautiful vision A perfect getaway! Two nights on the Isle of Wight felt like a proper holiday. Stunning coastline, charming villages, and plenty to do without rushing. Highlights included The Needles, relaxing beaches, and wandering through pretty towns like Shanklin and Cowes. Great food options, friendly locals, and easy to get around by car or bus.

Our wedding day at The Cumberland Hotel on October 4th was perfect, all thanks to their fantastic wedding coordinator, Edward. After visiting the hotel at a wedding fair, we immediately knew it was the ideal spot for our special day. The venue is gorgeous and offers a stunning backdrop. We were incredibly impressed with our coordinator Edward, who remained professional, attentive, and calming throughout. He put in endless effort to ensure everything went according to plan, providing seamless service with genuine care. He was truly wonderful to work with! Many of our family members stayed at the hotel and loved their rooms. On the big day, the staff was outstanding, meeting every need. The same room served as the ceremony space, wedding breakfast, and evening reception, yet with each transition, the room looked entirely different, which was amazing. We were thrilled with how smoothly everything ran. The food was remarkable with impeccable service. Guests couldn't stop talking about the quality of the food. We were also fortunate to capture photos by the lovely pool. If you're considering The Cumberland for your wedding, we highly recommend it.

Bournemouth has three city parks: Upper, Central, and Lower, but only Lower Gardens is listed in the directory. Upper Gardens and Central Gardens are not recorded.

Hengistbury Head is a large headland that juts out into the Channel and forms an ideal site for the defence of Christchurch Harbour, an ancient trading spot, and the river that meanders into it from settlements near Salisbury. Although evidence of the occupation of Hengistbury Head has been found dating back through the Stone Age and Bronze Age, the first appearance of a defended settlement appears to date from the Iron Age in around 700 B.C. The 'Double Dyke' was constructed at this time, earthworks consisting of an inner bank three metres high, with a ditch three and a half metres deep, which barred access to the Head from the mainland. An outer ditch six metres wide and two metres in depth is now obscured due to wind-blown deposits of sand and a gradual silting process. I spent hours just watching the waves and grabbing bites from the beachside cafés. And right in the middle of it all? Bournemouth Pier — where things get unexpectedly exciting. Right next to the pier is the Bournemouth Big Wheel, which gives you panoramic views over the coastline. I went just before sunset — highly recommend timing it that way. The golden light, the sea, the horizon… it’s a vibe. 🦈 A Visit to the Oceanarium The Bournemouth Oceanarium was a surprisingly magical break from the beach scene. From sharks and stingrays to penguins waddling around like they own the place, it was both peaceful and fascinating. There's just something nostalgic about watching a film at the seaside, especially when the weather turns chilly and you’re cozied up with popcorn. 🌳 Gardens, Ice Cream & That Classic Seaside Energy Between the beach and the town, don’t skip the Lower Gardens. I grabbed an ice cream and wandered through — floral displays, tiny bridges, live music, and people just relaxing. There was even a little mini-golf course tucked in there. Bournemouth surprised me — in the best way. It has the charm of a classic British seaside town but with enough personality, creativity, and fun to keep things interesting. I went for the beach. I stayed for the atmosphere. And I’ll definitely be back.

Bournemouth is one of England’s premier seaside resorts being located on Dorset’s south coast. · let’s start exploring it in the gardens of the Russell Cotes Museum, a beautiful cliff top villa built in 1910 and filled with works of art and expensive souvenirs of the family’s overseas travels. The gardens are an oasis of calm yet steps away from the throngs of sun lovers on the beach. · Lower Gardens is a beautifully maintained Victorian-designed green space just a few minutes' walk from the shoreline. It features gorgeous floral displays, an aviary, mini-golf course, and a large rock garden. The park also hosts regular live music performances at the bandstand and seasonal events such as open-air art exhibitions in summer · Continuing down the hill it was apparent that almost every inch of beach was occupied, there being a colourful mix of parasols, windbreaks and deck chairs as far as the eye could see. Visit Bournemouth Pier - the first pier in Bournemouth consisted of a short wooden jetty that was completed in 1856. · If visiting with kids, I’d recommend you The Oceanarium. Situated on Bournemouth Pier and provides an educational and entertaining experience for visitors. It offers a variety of activities such as feeding sessions with reef sharks, stingrays, turtles, otters, and penguins. The aquarium showcases diverse marine species including Nemo's friends - the clownfish, sharks, crocodiles, reptiles, and seahorses. · Some of Bournemouth’s Victorian style beach huts are available to rent by the day or week whilst others are on long term leases. The huts seem so small but owners have clever space saving ideas and it was fun to glance in and see how they had used the space as we strolled along.

As soon as I stepped off the train, I could feel the holiday spirit in the air: families with beach bags, couples holding ice cream cones, and the distant sound of seagulls calling over the waves. The beach was the heart of it all. Golden sand stretched as far as the eye could see, soft and warm underfoot. I kicked off my shoes and joined the crowd—sunbathers lying on colourful towels, children building sandcastles, and people dipping into the cool, clear water. It was lively but not overwhelming, and the fresh sea air made everything feel lighter. A walk along the pier gave me one of the best views of the coast. The water sparkled under the afternoon sun, and there was a cheerful buzz from the arcade and small cafés nearby.
