All Trip Moments about Brisbane | Travel Experiences
The best sunrise spot in Queensland? 🌅 - Located just under two hours from Gold Coast and Brisbane in Main Range State Park, Mt Cordeaux is an awesome challenge for moderate hikers. Featuring amazing mountain views and enchanting rainforest scenery, this 7km return hike is worth the drive. I got up from my Brisbane apartment last month at 3am to climb to the summit in the dark and the views at the top left me speechless. Definitely make sure to bring plenty of water as it can get pretty humid in the rainforest. If you have the energy, the 3km detour from the summit to Bare Rock has some more stellar views. - ⚠️ NOTE: I realised that the official trailhead car park is closed at the moment due to construction works so you’ll need to park your car at the nearby picnic area which will add roughly 2.5km each way. - #visitqueensland #queenslandtourism #seeaustralia #visitbrisbane #destinationgoldcoast #sunrisescenes

🌆 Why is everyone moving to Brisbane? 👀
Over the past year, I've noticed a pattern.
One friend moved to Brisbane for an office job. Another packed up after convincing their company to let them work remotely. Then another. And another...
At some point, I stopped thinking it was a coincidence and it made me curious:
What is Brisbane offering that keeps attracting people from so many different backgrounds? 👀
I know Australia has plenty of incredible cities, but Brisbane seems to be appearing in more and more conversations lately...
I've also met several travelers who first arrived on a Working Holiday Visa and ended up building a life there. Depending on your nationality, you can apply until age 30 or even 35, so for many people it's more than just a travel experience. It's the beginning of a new chapter.
➡️ So... how is living in Brisbane?
What keeps people there once the excitement of moving wears off?
Is it the career opportunities, the lifestyle, the weather, or something visitors don't notice during a short trip?
If you live there or have lived there before, I'd love to hear your perspective. I'm starting to think all these friends moving to Brisbane can't just be a coincidence 😅 hahah

Brisbane’s Botanic Gardens — Better in Real Life Than Any Photo!
#photovsrealitytravel
I had seen the Brisbane Botanic Gardens Mt Coot-tha so many times through YouTube, TV and travel videos, but honestly, nothing prepared me for seeing it in real life. ❤️
The gardens felt so much more beautiful and immersive than I expected. I loved wandering through the lush greenery, peaceful lakes and wild lagoon, discovering different sections like the Tropical Display Dome, arid gardens and Fern House.
Every trail seemed to reveal something different — beautiful plants, tall trees, colourful flora and little signs of wildlife along the way. 🌿🦜
What surprised me most was the feeling of being completely surrounded by nature. Photos can show you the scenery, but they can’t capture the fresh air, birdsong, peaceful atmosphere and sheer scale of the gardens.
I took plenty of pictures myself, but I kept thinking, “This is one of those places you really have to experience with your own eyes.”
For me, it became one of the best slow-travel escapes in Brisbane — walking without rushing, exploring different garden trails and simply enjoying the greenery.
YouTube showed me what it looked like. Being there finally showed me what it felt like. 🌿❤️

Brisbane at My Feet — My Favourite Skyline Escape at Mt Coot-tha
#skylinescapes
One of my favourite Brisbane skyline moments was standing at the Mt Coot-tha Summit Lookout and seeing the whole city spread out beneath me. Honestly, I was amazed. ❤️
From up here, I could see the Brisbane CBD skyline, the Brisbane River winding through the city, distant Moreton Bay, surrounding mountain ranges and lush greenery all in one incredible panorama.
I just stood there for a while taking everything in. After walking around the busy CBD, this felt like the perfect place to slow down, breathe and appreciate Brisbane from above.
The view was so wide and open that it almost felt like the entire city was sitting beneath my feet. 🌆 I took plenty of photos, but even the best photo couldn’t really capture how impressive it felt in person.
Another thing I liked was how easy it was to get here. Uber or rideshare is a convenient option if you don’t want to drive from Brisbane CBD.
For me, this is one of the best skyline escape spots in Brisbane — city, river, mountains and greenery all coming together in one breathtaking view.
If you love panoramic city views, don’t skip Mt Coot-tha. This one is definitely worth the trip. ❤️🌿🌆

🚆🇦🇺 My Favourite Brisbane Travel Hack — Exploring Queensland for Just 50 Cents!
#easytravelpost
One thing I absolutely loved during my Brisbane trip was how easy and affordable it was to explore Southeast Queensland by train. I used the train from Brisbane to the Gold Coast, and honestly, paying just AUD0.50 felt almost unbelievable! 😂
The 50-cent fare makes travelling around the Translink network incredibly affordable, including trains, buses, ferries and trams. Just note that the Airtrain to Brisbane Airport is not included in the 50-cent fare.
I found the stations really convenient too — clean, easy to navigate and well equipped, with escalators, vending machines and other amenities for passengers.
I simply used my contactless credit card to tap on and tap off, which made everything so easy. No need to queue for tickets or worry about carrying cash.
From Brisbane, I could easily travel towards places like Gold Coast, Cleveland and Roma Street, making the train a fantastic option for exploring more of Queensland.
💡 My tip: If you’re visiting Brisbane, check the Translink network before spending money on expensive tours. The 50-cent fare can take you surprisingly far! Just remember to tap on and tap off with the same card or device.
For me, travelling around Queensland this way was cheap, convenient, clean and stress-free.
AUD0.50 train rides? Definitely one of my favourite Brisbane travel hacks! 🚆❤️

Sun, Sand, and Shared Wisdom: Brisbane’s South Bank Oasis
#kindnessontheroad Brisbane’s South Bank Parklands, specifically the Streets Beach—Australia’s only inner-city, man-made beach—is a vibrant hub. On a scorching November afternoon, the sand was burning hot, and the UV index was extreme. I had applied sunscreen, but I was struggling to reach the middle of my back. A mother sitting nearby with her two young children noticed my awkward contortions. Without hesitation, she reached over with her own bottle of SPF 50+ and said, "Here, let me get that spot. You missed a patch." She proceeded to thoroughly rub the lotion onto my shoulders and upper back.
Her kindness sparked a conversation about surviving the Queensland heat. She explained that "slip, slop, slap" (slip on a shirt, slop on sunscreen, slap on a hat) isn't just a slogan; it's a necessity. She warned me that the reflection off the lagoon water and the white sand intensifies the sun exposure, making reapplication every two hours critical. She pointed out the misters placed strategically around the park and recommended taking frequent dips in the lagoon to cool down. She also shared a local hack: the best time to visit Streets Beach is before 10 AM or after 4 PM to avoid the harshest rays and the biggest crowds. She mentioned that while the beach is free, the nearby Aquativity water-play area is fantastic for kids but gets incredibly busy on weekends. Her practical advice was a lifesaver. If you're planning a day at South Bank, bring plenty of water (dehydration happens fast), wear water shoes to protect your feet from the hot sand, and don't rely solely on once-a-day sunscreen. And remember, sometimes the best travel tips come from fellow visitors who are just trying to enjoy the sun safely.

Bucket List Ticked — I Finally Made It to Brisbane!
#bucketlistdestinations
Brisbane had always been one of my bucket-list cities, and this August, I finally flew in from KL to experience it for myself. ✈️🇲🇾➡️🇦🇺
Honestly, Brisbane surprised me in the best way. I was amazed by how much the city has to offer — from the beautiful CBD skyline and historic City Hall to the Shrine of Remembrance, fascinating museums and incredible riverside views.
I also loved how many cultural experiences are free, especially places like the Museum of Brisbane and Queensland Museum. Then there’s the beautiful Brisbane Botanic Gardens, lush greenery and even the amazing Tropical Display Dome — perfect for someone like me who enjoys slowing down and exploring nature. 🌿🌴
But what really made me fall for Brisbane was the city vibe. It feels relaxed, clean and spacious, with a nice balance between modern city life, history, nature and the river.
I never felt like I had to rush here. I could simply walk, explore, stop for coffee, admire the skyline and enjoy the moment. People were friendly too, which made the whole trip even more enjoyable.
After finally experiencing Brisbane, I can honestly say:
I came here to tick off a bucket list destination, but I left with a new favourite city. ❤️🌆🇦🇺

Five Stars for Burger Urge Nundah! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
#worthitornot
I recently tried Burger Urge in Nundah 8 km from Brisbane CBD, and I was genuinely impressed. I ordered the Chonky Bacon Boi and it was absolutely mouth-watering. The burger looked exactly like the photo on the menu—thick, chunky, and stacked with fresh, delicious ingredients. Every bite was juicy, full of flavour, and cooked perfectly.
The chips were crispy and well-seasoned, and the chicken tenders were just as tasty—crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside.
It's always great when a restaurant delivers exactly what it advertises, and Burger Urge Nundah definitely did. I'll definitely be coming back to try more of their menu. Highly recommended if you're looking for a satisfying, flavour-packed burger!

Can We Talk About How Underrated Brisbane Is? I Fell for This City!
#underratedspots
Everyone talks about Sydney and Melbourne when Australia comes up, but after finally visiting Brisbane this August, I honestly have to say — Brisbane deserves so much more attention.
I came here wanting to see the city for myself, and I ended up falling in love with its relaxed charm. The Brisbane River, beautiful riverbanks, modern and historic skylines, incredible bridges, lush parks and golden sunsets gave me so many moments I’ll remember. 🌅🌉
What made it even more special was experiencing it with my loved one. We walked around the city, watched sunsets together, enjoyed the river views and simply soaked up the atmosphere without constantly rushing from one attraction to another.
I also loved the city vibe. People felt friendly, the city felt clean and spacious, and there was this relaxed energy that made exploring Brisbane so easy.
Maybe Brisbane doesn’t shout for attention like Sydney or Melbourne. It doesn’t need to. Its beauty slowly reveals itself when you take the time to walk, explore and actually experience it.
After my August trip, I can honestly say:
Brisbane surprised me, charmed me and became one of my favourite Australian cities. 🇦🇺❤️
Maybe it’s time we talk about Brisbane a little more. 🌆✨

I Found Brisbane’s Greenest Escape — A Day of Doing Absolutely Nothing!
#easytravelpost
Sometimes when I travel, I don’t want another packed itinerary. I just want greenery, fresh air, beautiful scenery and somewhere I can slow everything down — and the Brisbane Botanic Gardens Mt Coot-tha gave me exactly that. 🌿❤️
I spent my time wandering through the gardens without rushing, discovering completely different landscapes along the way. One moment I was surrounded by lake lagoon, lush tropical plants, then I was exploring arid gardens, and later I found myself inside the beautiful Tropical Display Dome.
But my favourite moment was probably sitting around the lake, watching ducks swim and wander around while enjoying the peaceful surroundings. 🦆🌊 It felt so far removed from the busy Brisbane CBD.
I took plenty of photos, but I also made myself put the phone away for a while and simply enjoy being there.
For me, this place was more than a botanical garden — it was my little nature reset during my Brisbane trip.
No rushing. No crowds. Just plants, wildlife, water, fresh air and plenty of time to breathe. 🌿✨
If you’re travelling Brisbane and need a break from the city, this is where I’d go to recharge. ❤️

My Green Escape Above Brisbane — Mt Coot-tha Botanic Gardens Is a Hidden Gem
#slowtraveling
If you ask me for an underrated slow-travel spot in Brisbane, I’d definitely recommend the Brisbane Botanic Gardens Mt Coot-tha. 🌿❤️
After spending time around the busy CBD, coming here felt like stepping into another world. The gardens are incredibly lush, with beautiful flora, diverse plant collections, birds chirping and plenty of wildlife around. I could hear nature instead of traffic, and honestly, it was exactly the reset I needed.
I didn’t come here with a strict plan. I simply walked slowly, explored the greenery, stopped to admire different plants and sat down whenever I found a peaceful spot. The more time I spent here, the more relaxed I felt.
The combination of biodiversity, gardens, tropical greenery and quiet walking paths made this one of my favourite places in Brisbane to clear my mind.
And getting here was surprisingly easy and affordable for me — I took the 50-cent Translink fare bus 471 from King George Square and arrived without any hassle. 🚌
💡 My tip: Give yourself several hours and don’t rush through the gardens. Wear comfortable shoes, bring water and let yourself wander.
For me, this wasn’t just a botanical garden visit. It felt like a little healing escape from the city. 🌿🦜
If you love nature, greenery and slow travel, put Mt Coot-tha Botanic Gardens on your Brisbane list. ❤️

I Finally Got My 60-Metre View of Brisbane — Bucket List Ticked!
#bucketlistdestinations
The Wheel of Brisbane had been on my bucket list for so long, so finally getting to ride it during my August Australia trip felt pretty special. ❤️
I’d taken so many photos of the Wheel from the ground, but being 60 metres up in the air was a completely different experience! Once the gondola started climbing, Brisbane opened up beneath me — the Brisbane River, South Bank, CBD skyline and surrounding cityscape all looked incredible from above. 🌆🌉
The Wheel has 42 gondolas, and my ride lasted roughly 11–15 minutes, which gave me plenty of time to take photos, look around and simply enjoy the view.
Of course, I took way too many pictures! 😂📸 Every time the gondola moved higher, I found another angle of Brisbane worth capturing.
My favourite part was just sitting there and watching the city from above. After dreaming about this experience for so long, I finally got to say:
“Yep, I actually did it!” 🎡❤️
For me, the Wheel of Brisbane wasn’t just a tourist ride — it was a bucket-list adventure with one seriously beautiful skyline reward.

Glass & Theatre — My South Bank Architecture Obsession
#easytravelpost
As an architecture lover, I couldn’t visit Brisbane without checking out Queensland Performing Arts Centre (QPAC) and the Glass House Theatre at South Bank. And seeing them in person was so much better than simply looking at photos online. ❤️
I came in the evening around sunset, which I think was the perfect time. The sky was changing colours, the Brisbane River was nearby and the theatre buildings started glowing as the lights came on. The whole South Bank cultural precinct suddenly felt incredibly cinematic.
The Playhouse has its own impressive character, but what really grabbed my attention was the Glass House Theatre’s dramatic wavy glass design. The huge curved glass façade gives the building such a distinctive look — modern, bold and almost flowing like a wave.
I was especially fascinated by how much engineering must have gone into creating that expensive curved glass façade. It’s not just a theatre; the building itself feels like a piece of modern art.
I spent quite a while walking around, taking photos and admiring the architecture from different angles. 📸
For me, QPAC and the Glass House Theatre are more than performance venues — they’re an architecture lover’s playground.
🌅 My tip: come just before sunset. Watch the buildings change from daylight to golden hour and finally into their evening glow. It’s an Insta-worthy Brisbane moment I wouldn’t skip! 🎭✨

🍕🎸 Pizza, Live Music & Brisbane Nights — My Fun South Bank Hangout!
#underratedspots
After a full day exploring South Bank, I wanted somewhere casual, lively and easy-going to wind down — and The Plough Inn was exactly that.
What I loved immediately was the atmosphere. There’s plenty of open-air seating as well as indoor space, and once evening arrives, the live band brings the whole place to life. 🎶 People were chatting, laughing, enjoying their drinks and just soaking up that relaxed Brisbane pub atmosphere.
Then came the food… and I definitely ordered too much! 😂 I went for the all-meat pizza, which was only AUD18 on Tuesday promotion, plus a seriously generous chicken schnitzel. Both were tasty and filling — I was completely stuffed afterwards! 🍕🍗
I also tried an Eastern Brewing non-alcoholic drink, which was a refreshing choice to wash everything down.
For me, The Plough Inn nailed the combination of good food, generous portions, live music, friendly vibes and reasonable prices.
If you’re around South Bank in the evening, come hungry, grab a table and stay for the music. 🎸🍕🍻
My kind of Brisbane night — good food in front of me, live music behind me and absolutely nowhere I needed to rush to. ❤️

🌅🎡 One Sunset, One Beautiful Memory — Brisbane From Above
#sunsetplaces
This sunset from the Wheel of Brisbane is honestly one of the most beautiful travel moments I’ve had. ❤️
Around 5:30pm, I went up with my love, and slowly watched the whole sky change in front of us. The bright afternoon light gradually turned into warm golden hues, then orange, pink and deeper purple, while the Brisbane River and city below started glowing.
I remember just sitting there quietly, looking out of the cabin and thinking, “Wow… I’m actually here.” After dreaming about visiting Brisbane for so long, experiencing this sunset together made it even more meaningful.
The best part wasn’t simply the incredible skyline or the colours in the sky. It was sharing this peaceful moment with someone special, watching the sunset change minute by minute without needing to say much.
We just enjoyed the view, enjoyed each other’s company and let the evening unfold.
Some sunsets are beautiful. Some become memories. This one became ours. 🌅❤️
Brisbane gave us a sunset we’ll probably talk about for a very long time.

My Favourite South Bank Recharge — Good Food, River Views & Happy Feet
#underratedspots
After walking around South Bank Parklands for quite a while, my feet were honestly asking for a break! 😂 So I stopped at Riverside Café & Bar, and it turned out to be the perfect little afternoon recharge.
I loved the setting — sitting there with the Brisbane River and city skyline in front of me, surrounded by greenery and the occasional sound of birds chirping. It was such a relaxing change of pace after all that walking.
I ordered their iced chocolate with cream and ice cream 🍫🍦 together with pork tacos. The iced chocolate was definitely my favourite — cold, creamy and such a treat on a travel afternoon!
I took my time here, rested my feet, enjoyed my food and simply watched Brisbane go by before continuing to my next destination.
💡 My little money-saving tip: I paid with cash to avoid the 1.5% credit-card surcharge. If you’re travelling around Australia, always check whether a card surcharge applies — using cash can sometimes save you that little extra fee.
For me, this was exactly what slow travel should feel like: good food, beautiful scenery, tired feet finally resting and absolutely no need to rush. 🌿🌆❤️

I Finally Standing at Brisbane’s South Bank!
#bucketlistdestinations
South Bank Parklands had been on my Brisbane bucket list for years, especially seeing those beautiful photos of the Wheel of Brisbane, riverfront and lush green spaces. Finally being here on a Tuesday afternoon felt surreal — I actually made it! ❤️🇦🇺
I started wandering around the South Bank riverfront, taking in the beautiful views and enjoying how green and relaxed everything felt. I loved strolling along Clem Jones Promenade, exploring the Rainforest Walk, and wandering through the spacious parklands and green avenues.
But the moment I saw the Wheel of Brisbane against the river and city backdrop, I knew I had finally reached one of the places I’d been dreaming about. 🎡🌆
I spent the afternoon taking photos, walking slowly and just enjoying the atmosphere. No rush, no tight schedule — just letting myself soak in the scenery.
And the best part? I haven’t even ridden the Wheel of Brisbane yet! That’s coming later, and I’m already excited. 😂
For me, South Bank wasn’t just another attraction to tick off. It was one of those bucket-list moments where reality finally matched the dream.

Brisbane’s Quiet Soul — My Favourite Place to Slow Down and Breathe
#slowtraveling
The State Library of Queensland became one of my favourite slow-travel spots in Brisbane. I came here without rushing, simply wandering through the spacious five-level building, admiring the architecture, art installations and peaceful reading spaces.
I loved exploring the State Reference Library, John Oxley Library and Australian Library of Art, especially the heritage collections and fascinating Australian stories. There was something very calming about being surrounded by knowledge and history while enjoying the relaxed atmosphere.
I also liked that there’s a café, plenty of places to sit and beautiful riverside surroundings, so I could easily spend a few hours here without feeling bored. ☕📚🌿
For me, this wasn’t simply a library visit. It was a knowledge + peace experience — a place where I could slow down, appreciate history and art, admire the architecture and let my mind rest.
Sometimes the best travel moments aren’t the busiest attractions — they’re the quiet places that give you time to breathe. ❤️

“Where I Finally Let the World Go Quiet”
#slowtraveling
One of my favourite slow-travel moments in Brisbane was spending time at GOMA with Archie Moore’s “kith and kin”. Instead of rushing through the gallery, I slowed right down and allowed myself to really take in the work.
The enormous genealogical artwork felt almost like a holographic map of relationships, connecting life and death, people and places, and circular and linear ideas of time. The extensive drawing traces connections between generations and explores the idea of our shared human ancestry.
What I loved most was the atmosphere. Quiet, peaceful and almost meditative. I could stand there for a long time, follow the lines, read the stories and simply reflect. There was no need to rush to the next attraction or fight through crowds.
This is exactly the kind of travel I enjoy — less rushing, less noise, more time to think and appreciate what’s in front of me.
For me, Archie Moore’s work turned a museum visit into a moment of quiet reflection and remembrance.
Sometimes the best travel experience is the place that makes you slow down without asking you to. 🌿🎨❤️

South Bank Views😍
#skylinescapes
One of my favourite Brisbane skyline views was from Victoria Bridge on the South Bank side. I wasn’t expecting such a beautiful mix of river, skyscrapers and heritage architecture all in one frame. 😍
Standing there, I could see the Brisbane River flowing beneath me, with the city skyline rising beautifully across the water at the Brisbane Square. The Wheel of Brisbane added a fun landmark to the scene, while historic buildings such as the former Bank of New South Wales building brought a classic character to the modern skyline.
I also loved spotting Griffith University’s South Bank presence among the surrounding architecture. It was fascinating seeing Brisbane’s old and new buildings sitting together so naturally.
I stayed there for a while just taking photos, watching the river traffic and enjoying the city atmosphere. The combination of blue sky, sparkling river, heritage buildings and modern towers made this one of my favourite skyline perspectives in Brisbane.
For me, this is what a perfect skyline escape should feel like — a beautiful city view without needing to leave the heart of the city. 🌆🌉❤️

🦖My Dinosaur Bucket List Finally Came True — Queensland Museum!
#bucketlistdestinations
As a huge Jurassic movie lover, visiting the Queensland Museum had always been on my Brisbane bucket list — especially the dinosaur and prehistoric Queensland galleries. And finally getting to see it with my own eyes was honestly amazing! 🦕❤️
I headed straight to Level 2, where the prehistoric collections completely grabbed my attention. Seeing real fossils and displays connected to Queensland’s ancient past made everything feel much more real than watching dinosaurs on a screen.
I was especially fascinated by the giant temnospondyl, Eromanga marine reptiles, giant squid and Platypterygius australis. The idea that these creatures once lived in prehistoric Queensland millions of years ago absolutely blew my mind.
I spent so much time reading the displays, looking at the fossils and imagining what Queensland must have looked like during those ancient eras — Triassic, Jurassic and Cretaceous times. 🦖🌏
And the best surprise? General admission is free! 🙌
For me, this wasn’t just another museum visit. It was finally stepping into the prehistoric world I’ve loved watching in movies for years.

My Underrated Brisbane Find — Victoria Bridge Has More History Than You Think!
#underratedspots
While exploring Brisbane, I came across the Victoria Bridge and Victoria Bridge Abutment, and honestly, I think this spot deserves much more attention.
I’m an architecture and history lover, so I enjoyed discovering that the Victoria Bridge has been an important river crossing for Brisbane since the 19th century, with the current bridge being part of the city’s long history of connecting the CBD with South Brisbane.
What really caught my attention was the Victoria Bridge Abutment. The granite remains and historic details give you a glimpse into how the area looked and functioned in Brisbane’s earlier days. You can even spot remnants connected to the bridge’s old tram tracks and gas lighting infrastructure — little details that are easy to walk past if you don’t stop to look.
But my favourite part? The view! 🌆
Standing around the monument and looking back towards the Brisbane skyline, especially during the day, gave me such a beautiful perspective of the city and river. I loved seeing the contrast between Brisbane’s historic infrastructure and its modern towers.
It’s not necessarily the first place tourists mention, but for me, that’s exactly what made it special.
A little history, beautiful architecture and a surprisingly magnificent skyline view — definitely an underrated Brisbane stop worth slowing down for. 🌉❤️

For my 5D4N Brisbane trip, I chose Amora Hotel Brisbane and it turned out to be exactly the kind of stay I needed for my slow-travel mood. ❤️
Instead of rushing out every morning, I enjoyed taking my time here — waking up slowly, having breakfast, relaxing in the comfortable room, then heading out when I was ready. After a full day exploring Brisbane, coming back to the hotel felt like returning to my own little retreat.
I enjoyed the welcoming lobby, cosy lounge, bar and restaurant, and having everything I needed under one roof made the stay feel effortless. A comfortable bed, relaxing shower and all the essential amenities helped me properly recharge.
What I loved most was that I didn’t feel pressured to constantly be on the go. Some afternoons, I simply came back early, sat down, relaxed and let the day slow down.

My Healthy Brisbane Morning — Dapl Breakfast Done Right!
#easytravelpost
During my stay in Brisbane, Dapl Restaurant became one of my favourite spots for a relaxed morning breakfast. I really enjoyed the modern Australian-style spread, especially because there were so many fresh and healthy choices.
I could start with fresh fruits, yoghurt, cereals and cold cuts, then head over to the egg station and customise my breakfast. 🍳🥝 My personal favourite was their yoghurt — creamy, refreshing and perfect with the fruits.
There were also plenty of hot dishes and breakfast favourites, so I never felt limited to just a “healthy” plate. The food tasted good, portions were satisfying and I found the pricing reasonable for a hotel breakfast.
What I loved most was being able to take my time, build my own breakfast and enjoy a slow morning before heading out to explore Brisbane. ☕🌿
For me, Dapl is a great choice if you want a healthy, varied and satisfying breakfast without making the morning complicated.
Fresh fruits, good yoghurt, customised eggs and plenty of choices — exactly how I like to start a travel day! 🍳❤️

“50 Cents, Two Feet & One CityCat — My Easy Brisbane Adventure!”
#easytravelpost
One thing that genuinely surprised me during my Brisbane trip was how easy the city was for me to explore. I didn’t need to rely on taxis everywhere — I could combine walking with Translink buses and CityCat ferries, making getting around simple and affordable. At the time of my visit, many public-transport trips were just AUD $0.50, which made exploring even more enjoyable. 🇦🇺
I spent my days wandering around the Brisbane River, crossing and admiring the Kangaroo Point Bridge, taking in the Story Bridge, passing The Star Brisbane, and strolling along the South Bank riverfront.
One of my favourite moments was heading towards the Wheel of Brisbane around evening, when the city started lighting up and the riverfront atmosphere became even more beautiful. 🎡🌆
⭐ My personal Brisbane tips:
· Use public transport + walking together — Brisbane is very pedestrian-friendly.
· Try a CityCat ride for a different perspective of the skyline.
· Explore the riverfront around late afternoon into evening for the best atmosphere.
· Keep your camera ready around Kangaroo Point and Story Bridge — the views are fantastic.
· Don’t assume everything stays open late; some shops close surprisingly early.
· Wear comfortable shoes — I did A LOT of walking! 😂
· Check the latest Translink fares before travelling, as fare promotions can change.
For me, Brisbane was the perfect combination of easy transport, beautiful river views, modern skyline, historic buildings and relaxed city exploring.
I came expecting a nice Australian city — I left thinking, “Why didn’t I come here sooner?” 🇦🇺❤️

Bucket List Unlocked — Finally, I’m in Brisbane!

Brisbane had been on my bucket list for so long, and finally arriving here this August felt like one of those travel dreams becoming real. ❤️🇦🇺
From the moment I started exploring, I fell in love with the mix of modern skyline, lush parks, riverside views and beautiful heritage buildings. I wandered around Anzac Square and the Shrine of Remembrance, admired the historic Brisbane Central Station, walked through Post Office Square and kept discovering little corners of the city that made me stop for another photo.
What I loved most was how Brisbane doesn’t feel overwhelming. I could simply walk, explore, slow down and enjoy the city at my own pace.
I spent my August trip soaking up as much as I could — the skyline, history, greenery, food and that relaxed Brisbane atmosphere. But honestly, I know I’ve only scratched the surface.

“One Bridge, One River, One Skyline — Brisbane Took My Breath Away!”
#skylinescapes
Walking across Kangaroo Point Bridge was one of those Brisbane moments where I kept stopping because every direction looked like another postcard! 😍
In front of me was the impressive Brisbane skyline, while the Brisbane River flowed underneath, with boats and CityCats moving along the water. In the distance, I could spot the iconic Story Bridge, while the riverbank was filled with people jogging, cycling and enjoying the beautiful weather.
I loved the contrast — modern skyscrapers, historic bridges, sparkling river water and lush riverside scenery all coming together in one view. 🌆🌉🌿
I walked slowly, took plenty of photos and simply enjoyed watching Brisbane move around me. The CityCats cruising past and the sailboats gliding along the river added even more life to the scenery.
What I liked most was that it didn’t feel overly crowded or chaotic. It was energetic, but still incredibly relaxing.

During my stay at Amora Hotel Brisbane, I really enjoyed having breakfast at Dapl Restaurant. The buffet had a great variety — fresh fruits, vegetables, cereals, pastries, hot dishes and Western-style favourites — so I could easily build my own breakfast.
But my personal favourite was the customised egg station! 🍳 I could choose how I wanted my eggs prepared and add fresh ingredients like basil and leafy greens. I loved that little touch because it made breakfast feel healthier, fresher and more fun.
After a good night’s sleep, I would come down, take my time choosing what I wanted, enjoy my freshly prepared eggs and slowly start my Brisbane day. 🌿☕🇦🇺
For me, a good breakfast is an important part of a good holiday — and Dapl definitely delivered.
Fresh food + customised eggs + relaxed morning = exactly how I like to start a travel day!
Would you be the type to go straight for the eggs, or attack the buffet first? 😂🍳
