I sat at Larcomar’s ocean deck with a S/14 maracuyá ice cream and watched the parabola of the coast bend toward Callao. Taxis from Centro to Miraflores S/15–20, Metropolitano to Ángamos then walk 10 min. Mistake: I came at 1 pm in July (Lima’s gray “garúa” fog) and saw nothing but mist—late afternoon in Dec–Mar is the clear window, or any month after 5 pm for the lights. Another mistake: buying soles at the mall exchange counter; street casa de cambio gives 3–4% better. Worth it? The Malecón is a 0-sol masterpiece; Larcomar’s value is the seat, not the food.
