This time, I took a ferry with my rental car from Malta to Gozo, and then caught a boat over to Comino 🚤 The Blue Lagoon is a popular destination famous for its incredibly crystal-clear waters. Seeing the vibrant blue of the sea in person exceeded all my expectations—it looked just like a natural swimming pool. I went during the peak season in July. It was extremely crowded, and finding a spot to lay out a towel on the rocks was quite a struggle. They do offer beach chair rentals, which I highly recommend if you're looking to relax and take it easy. Even though it was July, the water felt chillier than I anticipated, but with the intense sun beating down, taking a dip felt incredibly refreshing. There are kiosks on the island selling drinks and snacks; I got myself a drink served inside a hollowed-out fresh pineapple. Just a quick 15-minute boat ride from the main island of Malta. It may be uninhabited, but the blue of this water is unreal! The turquoise waters of the Blue Lagoon boast a level of clarity that photos simply can't capture 💎. The entire island is a protected nature reserve, meaning its untouched, breathtaking landscapes remain perfectly preserved. It's an absolute must-visit spot if you're traveling to Malta ✨. I visited in late November. On my first trip, it started pouring halfway through, leaving my shoes and pants completely covered in mud ☔️. My second trip, however, was sunny and offered the most spectacular views 🌞. ⚠️ It was super windy and quite chilly, so warm layers are a must! Also, you'll definitely need sneakers for the rocky terrain! I took a leisurely walk to explore the island, and it took me about 2 hours ⏳. (Though I probably didn't make it all the way around.)
