4D3N to Danang, Vietnam
Danang, Vietnam
Hotel: Grandvrio City Danang
Highlights
1. Day Trip to Ba Na Hills
- Sun World Theme Park: quaint little french village with aesthetic buildings and fun rides. both indoor and outdoor. most enjoyed the alpine coaster, bumper cars and swing chair ride. also had an exhilarating ride on the tower of terror
- Famous Hand Bridge: majestic, famous golden bridge that attracts hordes of tourists. also had an underrated flower garden and greek tour. nice place but way too crowded, impossible to take pictures without people in the background. amazing weather - cool and not humid. a light jacket would be useful.
- Cable Car: longest cable car ride in the world, even getting a Guinness World Record. 40 minutes up the mountain with a waterfall and amazing scenery. 10/10 recommend the experience.
2. Day Trip to Hoi An
- Hoi An Ancient Town: quaint town with a huge river and many many lanterns. super pretty and an excellent location for photos. many things to do - cafe hopping, souvenir shopping, ceramics, bike riding, even a bump boat ride or the spinning coconut boat ride. amazing experience, though come prepared as it’s very hot and humid
- Restaurants: Morning Glory and Mai Fish
Night Walk At Ba Na Hills
#wheretogo
I actually arrived at SunWorld Bana Hills close to sunset and all the rides were closing, so we rushed to play some of them such as the alphine coaster. After dinner, we were really surprised the whole resort so empty!
We did knew the day trippers would be gone but its amazing how the other hotel guests are hiding in their rooms. We walked round and round just admiring everything because I have not been to Europe and the cold weather. Both of these are not available in Singapore where I come from.
There are many photo spots with nicely decorated flowers on them apart from all the nice building and architecture. You will also get a sneak balcony preview of other higher rooms tier that are deeper into the resort.
🇻🇳French Village in Ba Na Hills🇻🇳
🇻🇳Our Danang Diaries🇻🇳
Tapping into the French Flair here at the very Epcot-like French Village where we walk on cobblestone streets and see a lot of French-inspired buildings and French restaurants🇫🇷The buildings and whole place really makes you feel you are in a French Village and the weather is pretty cool up here which we really liked. There are restaurants that offer different kinds of cuisine and areas for you to sit and relax in too.

🇻🇳💕Hello Sun World Bana Hills💕🇻🇳
😍Our Danang Diaries🇻🇳
We booked a car to go to Bana Hills, ride was about 45 minutes. As we had the tickets already, all we had to do was scan the QR code just before the Cable Car entrance.
The Bana Hills cable car is one of the park’s most famous attraction – the Ba Na Cable Car, an extraordinary, European-built system that holds the world record for the longest nonstop single-track cable car ride, at over 19,000 feet in length😱
We had the cable car all to ourselves and what a ride it was…smooth, bumpy and going higher and higher and higher🙈Such beautiful sights from above. We really enjoyed our ride.

Golden Hands Bridge Travel Recommendations for 2023 (Updated in Dec)
🇻🇳Visiting Golden Hands Bridge🇻🇳
🇻🇳Our Danang Diaries🇻🇳
We Walked to the area just under the Golden Hands Bridge, this place is definitely with less people AND a place where we could fully see both Hands of the Golden Bridge😍
And there you go, we’ve seen the most famous attraction - the Golden Bridge (aka the “Hand Bridge”), a 500-foot long arced pedestrian bridge that appears to be held up over the world far below by two giant stone hands💙
Tip: If you really can’t get a decent shot on the bridge then go here…just walk further to the end and turn left down here👍

🇻🇳🌉Danang’s Famous Golden Bridge🌉🇻🇳
🇻🇳Our Danang Diaries🇻🇳
Now on the Golden Bridge~ I have to hand it to them🤣🤭🙌🏼, but the Golden Bridge (or the Cau Vang) is surely one of the most beautiful man-made bridges of all time.
It was completed in June 2018, and it resembles two, gigantic hands holding up a shiny piece of gold to the gods above the misty clouds of Vietnam. Visitors from Vietnam and tourists from all over flock to this bridge here as it is the most prominent feature representing Danang.
It is really a wonder though but very hard to capture a picture on without people around, I’d gather you have to really early or late to have some nice photos without the crowd. Still a great sight to see👍

🇻🇳The Golden Bridge in Danang🇻🇳
🇻🇳Our Danang Diaries🇻🇳
We have reached our final stop at Bana Hills~got off at the Marseille Cable Car station and they have another souvenir shop here where you can buy some cute stuffed toys.
So here we are at the Golden Bridge (or the Cau Vang).
The most famous spot here in Ba Na Hill, and an absolute wondrous sight indeed! This is also the most crowded place in the park😂
There are flags at the entrance so you can take your country’s flag and take photos with it on the bridge.
Be sure to make some time to walk and immerse in the views from the bridge, they are pretty nice too.

Da Nang’s Golden Bridge
#wheretogo
The Golden Bridge located at SunWorld Bana Hills must be Da Nang's most well known icon, I am sure the city of Da Nang became more well known after it was built too!
Now to access the golden bridge is a little tricky, after arriving in Bana Hills you will have to take a shorter cable car ride down to visit the bridge. As hotel guest of Mercure at Bana Hills we had the luxury of waking up at 445am to catch the 6am cable car down for an emptier bridge. The cable will only run for 5 mins, at about 6am, 630am and 7am that is specially for hotel guest (remember to check when you are there). There after public can head up and the crowd will be mad insane.
It was difficult to wake up before 5am on a trip, but it was so worth it to be able to see the whole resort empty and to your own.

My Khe Beach Travel Recommendations for 2023 (Updated in Dec)
🌴Cool Beach Bar in My Khe Beach🌴
🇻🇳Our Danang Diaries🇻🇳
We went to Esco Beach Bar Lounge and Restaurant which was right opposite our hotel and Located just steps away from the crystal-clear waters of My Khe Beach.
This place offers a relaxing atmosphere, delicious food and drinks, and stunning views of the coastline. They had a good Happy Hour deal so we went for that as well as a burger, seafood pizza and calamari.
💜Order the Seafood Pizza—we loved it💜
💙Go for Happy Hours—great drinks and prices💙
As you enter the restaurant, you'll be greeted by friendly staff and a modern, minimalist decor. The open-air seating area allowed us to soak up the sunshine and feel the sea breeze while enjoying our meal, we dined and drank til sunset💜

My Khe Beach
#wheretogo
My Khe Beach is probably one of Da Nang City’s most famous beach, known for it’s 10km coast line and located right at the city
The government had spent efforts to keep the beach clean and free admission. The lack of strong waves also made it really safe for recreational activities and kids.
We found the beach a perfect complement to our hotel stay in Da Nang city because there is no lack of hotels for you to choose from. And every hotel will catch you the view of the My Khe beach. Our hotel was just a 5 mins walk away. To me it’s something quite rare as if it is other cities, this prime view would probably cost us thousands of dollars.
🇻🇳Danang My Khe Beach Day🇻🇳
🇻🇳Our Danang Diaries🇻🇳
As the sun begins to set, the sky starts to change into beautiful colors, these are Some of our Sunset shots at My Khe Beach🧡💙💜🩷💛
It is truly beautiful and a great way to welcome the evening. Still a lot of people around and the calm sea is amazing to swim in, also not too cold. Suggest bringing a beach mat and some snacks to have a picnic there, go for a swim and relax watching the sunset💙☀️

Mercure Danang French Village Bana Hills Travel Recommendations for 2023 (Updated in Dec)
Mercure Danang French Village Bana Hills
#Traveling to Vietnam
Let's explore the accommodations at Mercure Danang French Village Bana Hills and see if they are worth the price we paid. During this trip, we planned to visit Bana Hills to check-in at the famous Golden Bridge and enjoy the breathtaking views of the French Village, as if we were in Europe. We chose to stay at Mercure Danang French Village Bana Hills because we wanted to fully immerse ourselves in the atmosphere, both during the day and at night. I must say that it was truly worth it, from the ambiance to the accommodation, and we took plenty of beautiful photos.
The room we booked was a Family Deluxe with three beds, but upon check-in, we were given a larger room with a king-size bed and a bunk bed. The room was well-equipped with all the necessary amenities, beautifully decorated, and perfect for capturing stunning photos. The view from the room resembled different French village buildings, giving us a feeling of being in a European village. The bathroom was divided into a shower room and a toilet, which was very convenient for multiple guests as we could use the facilities simultaneously, whether it was taking a shower, doing makeup, or getting ready for the day. I should mention that our room was located near the beer garden area, so if you are a light sleeper, you might be slightly bothered by the music from the beer garden. However, they stop playing music around 4 AM, so it wasn't too late, and overall, it was acceptable. I have to say that the beer garden was a lot of fun. We enjoyed sitting there, having barbecues, and sipping on chilled beers, perfectly matching the atmosphere. Additionally, if you stay here and want to escape the cold weather from the upper areas, they have a covered heated swimming pool available. You can access it using your key card. The swimming pool was fantastic, beautiful, warm, and a great way to relax after a full day of sightseeing. Moreover, it was not crowded as there are multiple pool zones, and it's quite spacious. I highly recommend not to miss the swimming pool if you stay here.
As for breakfast, it was a buffet with a wide variety of options. They offered Vietnamese dishes, pho, and American-style breakfast, so you could choose according to your preference. It was truly worth it, and you could sit and enjoy breakfast until the time was up. I would recommend it for those who have plenty of time and don't need to rush down from Bana Hills. You can have breakfast, rest, and then enjoy the attractions in the afternoon. It's really worth it, especially for families with children, as they provide numerous play areas and toys for kids. I will post a review later to share more about the available play equipment.

Travel from Danang, Hoi An to the world longest cable car up to the hills with 1 night in Mercure hotel. Old style buildings and vintage european atmosphere was a good photolover settings. Their allday shows looks fantastic and also served a great breakfast. Dragon Bridge Travel Recommendations for 2023 (Updated in Dec)
Georgeous Dragon Bridge Da Nang ✨
Dragon Bridge is the icon of Da Nang city. Located in the heart of Da Nang, it becomes one of the top tourist attraction here. Actually you can visit in day or night. But seems most of people prefer to see it at night. Beside taking picture of the bridge and the city lights around Han River, you also can visit Son Tra Night Market that is only a few steps walking from this spot.
You can sit by nearby cafe or food stall around this area to enjoy the night view. Also, if you're here on the weekend, they have water light show around 21.00 PM. The best way to get here is with motorbike online taxi. It's cheap and convenient ✨

Da Nang, a seaside paradise of delightful experience
#beachaholic
This beach city in Vietnam captivates with its dazzling shores, warm hospitality, and vibrant culture. With its golden sandy beaches stretching along the crystal-clear waters of the East Sea, Da Nang offers a coastal haven for relaxation and fun.
Sunrise or sunset on Son Tra mountain is pure magic, casting a golden glow over the city and setting the stage for an exciting day ahead.
The iconic Dragon Bridge illuminates the night sky, delighting visitors with its fire and water displays. The Han River's reflections add to the city's enchantment, best enjoyed during a cruise.
Da Nang's cultural richness is evident in the Marble Mountains, home to sacred pagodas and mystical caves. The nearby Hoi An Ancient Town, with its lantern-lit streets and charming architecture, is a must-visit for history enthusiasts. These 2 attractions are reviewed by me, you all can read for more information.
For food lovers, Da Nang's vibrant street food scene tantalizes taste buds with local delicacies like banh mi and mi quang.
Da Nang, also as my hometown, is an ideal destination for those seeking a perfect blend of beach bliss, cultural exploration, and delectable cuisine. The city's allure, vibrant energy, and coastal charm make it a trip of delightful experiences and cherished memories.
The symbol of Da Nang
You won’t miss the Dragon Bridge when arriving in Da Nang. It spans across Han River connecting the city side to the My Khe beach side. To commute between these areas, you will most likely using this bridge to travel.
There will be fire coming out of the dragon’s mouth (dragon fire) on every Friday, Saturday and Sunday. If it is not convenient, you can miss it.
I simply enjoy walking along the river promenade to view the bridge during day time.
#2023travelwish
place well lit with lights, check out at nite
#celebratewithtrip
If you are someone who loves walking around night time along the river bank, then this place at da nang is definitely a place which you will have to place on your bucket list. It is one well lit up and decorated at night, definitely a must visit.
Recommended especially for those travelling with your loved ones as some light decorations as also shaped into a heart. Dragon bridge that is iconic at da nang can also be caught in a full picture from here as well.
One can easily spend around 30 minutes here walking around the river bank.
