Beside the millennium-old ancient temple of Yuquan Mountain in Dangyang, there is a Zen-inspired guesthouse
One mountain, one temple | The Zen-inspired guesthouse beside the millennium-old ancient temple of Yuquan Mountain in Dangyang
'Accompanied by a gentle breeze, enjoy the boundless greenery. Strolling between the mountain and temple, savor the charm that is beyond words.' These two sentences encompass the famous mountain, temple, and pagoda of Yuquan Mountain in Hubei Dangyang. They are also the main reasons that attracted us to come here.
Having booked our resting place, we set off.
Speeding along the way, the skyscrapers of the city were quickly left behind, and the vast expanse of the wilderness unfolded before our eyes. In the distance, the layered mountains and the blue sky with white clouds were closely connected, presenting a spectacular view, truly picturesque. The ancient temple is hidden among them.
There are many ancient trees in the courtyard, some of which are as old as 1200
years. But they are still lush and leafy. These ancient trees add a touch of spirituality and mystery to this old temple. The guesthouse is located within the Yuquan Mountain scenic area, to the east of the millennium-old Yuquan Temple, hence the name 'One mountain, one temple.' Here, the mountain and temple complement each other, and the spring tea is fragrant.
Walking in, everywhere is arranged with Zen in mind, unconsciously slowing down your pace to carefully appreciate everything here.
The entrance to the main hall is divided into three parts, symbolizing the three realms of Zen Buddhism
On the right side of the hall is a calligraphy area, suitable for literati to express their sharpness and the flying charm of ink.
Passing through the main hall, you reach the restaurant, which has two separate tea rooms. If you don't want to go out, you can enjoy the pleasure of tea mountains within the Song dynasty aesthetic architecture, why not!
Rooms
There are 10 buildings and 34 rooms here. The room types are mountain residence, forest residence, lake residence, and stacked lake residence. The furnishings in the rooms are all natural elements. Classic and modern are integrated here.
Lake residence rooms have a view of the tranquil pond when you push the window, and the pond water is diverted from the Pearl Spring of Yuquan Mountain.
The rooms all include breakfast and a double portion of the main meal
There are also some local dishes, such as Guochang chicken hot pot, etc. The products are very exquisite and taste good. The cost-performance ratio varies from person to person!
This is just too great!!! Mountain homestay!!! Who understands ah
The homestay consists of 10 buildings, including the lobby, tea room, multi-function hall, dining area and guest room area. The entrance of the lobby is a group of high-rise landscape installations, divided into three, each with a difference. With an abstract and concise method, it presents three kinds of simple landscape forms, responding to the three realms of Zen.
Guest rooms, the homestay has 8 types of rooms, 34 rooms, each room has corresponding outdoor scenery, either small scenery to please the mood, or near the water, laying out all kinds of interests that the literati of the Song Dynasty cannot do without. It's really great👍👍👍👍👍👍

Yuquan Mountain, one of the famous mountains in Sanchu, about twelve kilometers southwest of Dangyang, Hubei
There sits the Yuquan Temple, known as the 'Crown of Jingchu Jungle'

A lighter design method is used
Two colors of long bricks cover the wall
The color contrast is bright, and the sequence transition collides with a fun atmosphere
When dining, look up inadvertently
The distant rocks are looming, and the nearby streams are winding, and a sense of openness arises spontaneously

Per Capita 999 | Yichang 3 Days 2 Nights Special Forces National Day Money-Saving Strategy
| Yichang 3 Days 2 Nights Special Forces National Day Money-Saving Strategy. Where is everyone going to play during the National Day?
I recommend a niche route for you guys
When visiting Hubei, people may prefer Wuhan and Enshi, but little do they know that Yichang is a low-key treasure city with a high cost-performance ratio for tourism
For off-peak travel during the National Day, the first stop is Yichang, Hubei
Attraction Choices
Yichang's scenic spots are quite scattered, so it is recommended to drive or join a tour group.
Car rentals here are especially cheap
We rented a car for three days (300 yuan which equals 100 yuan a day) + drove 800 kilometers and spent less than 300 yuan on gas
Compared to taking a taxi, it's way more comfortable and you can do whatever you want
Of course, if you can't drive or are afraid
Joining a tour group is also a convenient option haha
It's impossible to visit all the attractions in 3 days,
Choose a few must-visit spots to optimize your time
Let me talk about the specific planning of the route haha
✅day1
Morning: Chexi
(Photos 1-3)
💫Everyone says Chexi's night view is beautiful
💫I insist on going during the day
(The fact is it's my first visit
Self-driving on mountain roads, girls are not too brave to go out at night)
But indeed, it's also fun during the day
Who says Chexi is not good during the dayヽ(ー_ー)ノ
I want to rectify its name, it also shocked me
🔆Address: Near 241 National Road, Dianjun District, Yichang City, Hubei Province
Driving is recommended, driving is recommended, driving is recommended
Say it three times because it's important
Business Hours:
8:30-17:00 (All year round)
10:00-17:00 (Chexi Old Street)
Afternoon: Yuquan Scenic Area
(Photos 4-6)
I always hear that Yuquan Temple is one of the most efficacious temples, so I picked a day with blue skies, white clouds, and a gentle breeze and headed straight for Yuquan Temple,~
‼️‼️‼️At the entrance of Yuquan Temple, you can 【get 3 sticks of incense for free】
Location: Yichang Dangyang Yuquan Mountain Scenic Spot
Ticket: Free (Parking fee is required oh~)
⏰Scenic Area Business Hours:
7:30-18:00 (Yuquan Temple closes at 17:00~)
Accommodation: One Mountain One Temple (Photos 7-9)

✅day2
🔶Morning: Qingjiang Gallery - Photo 10
(Must-visit! Especially the performance, it's really stunning)
I spent 1200 yuan to charter a speedboat🚤
I have written a separate note
Interested babies can get the strategy on their own
(Accommodation): Qing She (Photos 11-15)
Right across the river from Qingfeng Gallery
The housekeeper will come to pick you up by 🚢
(By the way, the food here is especially delicious😋)
✅day3
Three Gorges Waterfall
👔Equipment
If you plan to walk through the waterfall, be sure to prepare a raincoat, shoe covers, and a waterproof bag for your phone
It's recommended to buy thicker raincoats and shoe covers, so they won't be easily blown up by the wind🥲 and they look better in photos📷
Buy shoe covers with straps, otherwise, they are easy to fall off and trip you☹
👕👖Outfit
This time I'll write out all the outfits!!
Personally, I think it's suitable to wear some dark-colored clothes, something quick-drying, and it's best to wear shorts, skirts are not recommended because they are not convenient for waterproofing🥲 (if you're not walking through the waterfall then ignore what I said

Alright, that's the travel strategy for Yichang~ I hope it can help those who are about to go!

Homestay One Mountain One Temple Homestay
PUSU AROON (Xin'anjiang Branch) Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in May)
Park Stay
Where~ Light, trees, grass interweave the secret dream! Hangzhou's most beautiful homestay!.
Jiande Park Stay·Location (Xin'an River)!
Location: No. 102, Huangrao Qianxitou Village, Zhejiang Village, Xiayatun, Jiande City, Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province.
Recommended reason
The real version of 'Fuchun Mountain Residence' hand-painted by nature has the aesthetic concept of Song-style with the misty rain atmosphere of the south of the Yangtze River.
The ink painting-like elegant color matching, the natural scenery connected by small paths, 21 guest rooms all have terraces, enjoy different views Pillows, Bluetooth speakers, showers, APPELLES washing and care...
'Hills undulating, peaks turning, rivers flowing fertile soil, sand flat. Clouds and smoke cover the village houses, water waves appear and disappear fishing boats.' This is the scene depicted in 'Fuchun Mountain Residence', and it is also a true portrayal of the Huangrao Peninsula of Xin'an River in Jiande.
The guest rooms are divided into 'Nalanda Fearless', 'Priya True Love', 'Anika Wonderful' three buildings, a total of 21. Each room is equipped with a balcony, bathtub, some rooms are also equipped with a courtyard, to achieve a room with a view, the sense of returning to the natural simplicity and the elegant and comfortable scene in the Song painting are exactly the same.
Facilities: There is a high-end Japanese restaurant in the hotel. The Japanese restaurant combines the tradition of the East with the elegance of the West. The interior layout is elegant and simple, and the decoration is both rustic and fashionable.
A minimalist aesthetic design style guesthouse from the Song Dynasty in Hangzhou
🏨 Pusu·Location (Xin'anjiang Store)
❤Recommended Reason:
This guesthouse truly deserves the title of 'wild luxury.' Drifting on a boat, mooring by the misty islets, the traveler's sorrow grows at dusk. The wilderness is vast with low trees, the river clear and the moon close to man.
This poem by Meng Haoran, 'Staying Overnight at Jiande River,' is about the Xin'an River (Jiande River), whose waters are not as turbulent as those of the Qiantang River.
It is said that the water temperature remains around 18 degrees Celsius throughout the year, calmly witnessing the changes of the millennia on both banks. What changes is the succession of buildings, what remains unchanged is the gentle river, flowing slowly.
🌟Highlights:
Located by the Xin'an River, Pusu·Location also inherits this tranquility and ancient charm, adopting the minimalist aesthetic design concept of the Song Dynasty, with an elegant color palette reminiscent of ink paintings. The landscaping in the public areas is also very harmonious.
Wood, stone, bamboo groves, moss, river water, and distant mountains complement each other, allowing the architecture to blend seamlessly into the surrounding landscape and countryside without any discord.
In winter, the fields around the guesthouse have already been harvested, and the trees in the courtyard have withered away, but there is still a sense of cold and lonely beauty.
It is said to deserve the title of 'wild luxury' because one can clearly feel the pursuit of quality.
🛏Room Facilities:
Although not large, with only 21 rooms, the necessary facilities are very complete. The outdoor infinity pool is beautiful, and there is a Japanese restaurant by the pool, both the environment and the taste are quite good.
There is underfloor heating! In the winter of Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Shanghai, any hotel with underfloor heating deserves praise, especially since winters without heating can be particularly cold.
Amenities include not only face towels, cleansing cream, facial cleanser, and sleep masks, but even a straightening iron. The bath products are from O'right, and the scent of Red Sunset Orange is always refreshing.
The bamboo square bathtub, paired with floor-to-ceiling windows separated by vertical wooden slats, has an antique feel, and the atmosphere for a private bath springs up immediately.
📝Note tips:
There is a row of bicycles outside the lobby that can be borrowed. If the weather is not too cold, you can ride around the surrounding fields, or even take a ride around the river, which is also interesting.
👍Most Recommended:
There are two sets of 'touhu' at the entrance of the lobby, a ceremonial game popular during the Song Dynasty. Perhaps because I was too engrossed in the drama 'The Story of Minglan,' seeing this game in reality made me particularly excited.
In spring and summer, when all things revive and are full of life, it should be another kind of beauty with vitality. Looking forward to staying again in the summer!

Every frame of the self-driving tour in Shanghai is in a landscape painting vacation~
Many people say this is the real-life version of 'Dwelling in the Fuchun Mountains' in Zhejiang
A 3-hour drive from Shanghai brings you to the banks of the Xin'an River~
Spent a wonderful weekend, one article is not enough to praise~
~
🏠Every frame here is as beautiful as in a landscape painting~
The Black Truffle Award, Song Dynasty minimalist aesthetics, nature and culture, truly lives up to its reputation.
💁Before checking in, there is a 24-hour service from 12 butlers~ They send self-driving strategies and local tour strategies in succession~ Thoughtful
🍃As soon as I entered the room, I saw a welcome card with my photo printed on it, and handmade snacks~ Delicious 😋. The toiletries in the bathroom are the most complete I've ever seen~ Makeup remover, facial masks, and even cotton pads~ Beauty blenders, and there are curling irons and straighteners, my friends!
💁Every time I stay in a homestay, I pay great attention to the room amenities and hardware. Marshall speakers, Toto toilets are all of this level~ The projector is huge!! Watching movies is so cool! The room has a very beautiful small courtyard with a cherry blossom tree.
🚴I super love that they provide mountain bikes here, cycling along the Xin'an River trail~ The landscape scenery is particularly beautiful~
☕️Sitting in the lobby looking at the large rice fields outside~ It really feels like a peach garden, the entire hotel homestay is in nature oh~

📍Detailed address: Liangting Village, Zhangcun Town, Anji County, Huzhou City, Zhejiang Province
A Japanese-style log homestay halfway up the bamboo-covered hills
Clouds rolling, bamboo viewing, rain listening, tea drinking, daydreaming...
"Leisurely retreat" to steal half a day of life for tea drinking
🏕Scenery: In the bamboo sea of rolling hills far away on the hillside outside a village, the mist lingers on rainy days
A detached courtyard isolated from the world
🏡Environment: The homestay is designed in Japanese style, with every scene meticulously crafted, and the garden landscapes show the owner's dedication with elegant plants
Spring has cherry blossoms🌸, summer has fireflies and flying fish, autumn has the red leaves of the bamboo sea🍁, winter has gatherings around the stove for tea brewing, may all seasons be peaceful and may we find the beauty in our eyes
The housekeeper says the owner loves Japan, every item is exquisite, and there is a large bookshelf on the first floor filled with Japanese architecture books
🎑Excellent viewing terrace: Overlooking the distant green mountains, the fourth-floor terrace offers a view of the layered clouds and bamboo forest
🛏Room: The 'Yayoi' room on the second floor where I stayed had good soundproofing, and all the basic facilities and details were well in place. Pulling back the curtains reveals the distant scenery
🌟Service: The two housekeeper sisters were very enthusiastic and not too intrusive, I like this way of giving each other space
Welcome pastry: Tea with light and sweet pastries, refreshing and not greasy
Goodnight dessert: After a bath, the housekeeper brought candied pear stewed in rock sugar, warm, sweet, and delicious
Gathering around the stove to brew tea in the mountains, lighting charcoal, brewing tea with fruit pastries, it must be said
Grilled rice cakes and marshmallows are sweet and crispy, super delicious to eat
Drinking tea, daydreaming... no need for words
The only downside: At eight o'clock in the evening, the bath water temperature was just right, but the shower temperature could be improved, and the hardware facilities would be even better
I will visit again if I have the chance, a homestay worth recommending, with scenery, style, and taste
🚉Transportation downside: It is nearly 60km from the high-speed rail station, focusing on returning to the wild, be sure to arrange transportation, and there are also some small attractions nearby, if you don't want to go to the popular spots, you can also wander around/take a walk nearby
I've found the little Kyoto of Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Shanghai!
An impromptu trip with a good friend turned out to be a perfect purification for both the mind and body.
I never expected to find such a beautiful place before coming here.
I've always been moving forward with restraint amidst the hustle and bustle of the city.
But every breath I take here is free, peaceful, and exhilarating.
Luckily, it was just us staying for those few days, and the whole wilderness felt like our 'home'.
In our 'home', there's a handsome owner, a gentle housekeeper, an extremely docile bully dog, and two adorable cats that you just can't say no to. Perhaps the advantage of a homestay is that it feels just like home.
Our days were spent drinking tea, basking in the sun, practicing yoga, daydreaming, listening to music, and petting the animals...
My favorite part was the starry sky every night; I absolutely loved it!
Every time I looked up, I felt like I owned the entire Milky Way, surrounded by the stars of the universe, and for the first time, I clearly saw the Big Dipper...
Maybe it won't be long before I come back to breathe in the fresh mountain air and the sweet sunshine.
