🐽 Hmph~ Last weekend, I met up with friends for a pickleball game at the indoor court of The Lodge at St. Edward Park boutique hotel. It was my first time playing here; the lighting in the court was bright but not glaring, and the rallies were filled with laughter. An exciting match completely wiped away the week’s fatigue. After the game, we headed straight to the Cedar + Elm restaurant inside the hotel to leisurely enjoy a refined afternoon tea with friends, chatting about recent daily life until we lost track of time. Sitting here felt like stepping back into a bygone era—so healing~ 💬🫖 By the way! This hotel is located within Saint Edward State Park: ✨ The Romanesque Revival architecture comes with a vintage filter effect, making photos look super textured. ✨ The hotel is surrounded by vast open lawns; walking deeper, winding forest trails are full of greenery. After afternoon tea, strolling along the trails to breathe in fresh air, wrapped in nature and comfort, this weekend gathering truly warmed my heart~ 😁 📕 For the next diary entry, guess which corner of Seattle I’ll visit? Had a fabulous stay in Kenmore, Perth and Kinross 17-20 January 2025. Whilst the accommodation where we were staying (group of 10) could have been better the area itself is beautiful with quite a few things to do. We stayed at the Kenmore Club and decided to opt for a day at the Hot Box spa at Taymouth Marina. This was for a girls spa day with the option to side into Loch Tay. Yes I felt like I may never breathe again but what an exhilarating experience …once you’ve braved the slide you can’t stop …even when the water is 3 degrees in January.
