A hideaway café in the countryside, close to the roadside station Aso. The Japanese-modern space, created by renovating a building that was originally a farmer's barn, is perfect for relaxing while looking at the tranquil Aso. It's a relaxing time.
The owner, who has trained in Japanese cuisine, Italian cuisine, and cafes, offers a wide variety of dishes, including Akagyu beef dishes, pasta lunches, and sweets.
Even though I only used it for tea time this time, I was happy to see that the chai was served with cute latte art of a bear.
In fact, a barn over 150 years old has been renovated on the premises of "Hidden Sabo Chagura Cafe" to open a rental inn called "Chagura no Yado-Naya-" with the concept of "Spend precious time with loved ones...". You can even enjoy a sauna, so I think it's recommended for people who want to enjoy a different space from a ryokan.
