Aso Nakadake Crater 🌋

#newyearnewtrip When you are in Aso region of Kumamoto Japan, one of the things you need to do is visit the Nakadake crater. It is a unique yet terrifying experience as you get to be close to an actual active volcano crater. As you ascend near to the crater, you can smell the scent of strong sulphur in the air and see volcanic gases emitting from above. Do note that if you have asthma or breathing difficulties, you are advised not to head up to the crater. This crater is one of the largest in the world and you would be amazed with how close you can get to an active volcano that is alive. Always check websites on volcanic activities before ascending up here as if it is too high, visitors are restricted from visiting the aso crater. If there is too much poisonous volcanic gases emitting, access to the crater will also be stopped. My visit here is one of the most awesome things to do in Aso and I loved it!
