Even in the cloudy winter, it was still beautiful. When I first arrived in Aso, I thought Aso was a little small, but once I got here, I found a different Aso, so open. If I had time to wait for half an hour, the clouds would have dissipated, and the Aso Five Mountains would be right in front of me, and the rural village would be surrounded and protected by the mountains. It was so comfortable to walk and run in the grass. From the observatory, I found a trail going down all the way. I guess I can hike down the mountain from here. I walked in all directions and found several similar trails going down the mountain. I must come and experience it next time and enjoy the scenery from different heights and angles. It should be more beautiful in the summer when the grass is green.

📝 Check the temperature difference between morning and evening
A large temperature difference between morning and evening increases the chances of seeing the sea of clouds!

It's a short walk from the parking lot to the water source.
There are a lot of insects because it's surrounded by waterside and trees, so it's a good idea to bring insect repellent.

It's soothing to take a walk while listening to the birds singing and the sound of the river flowing.
