Wat Tham Pla in Chiang Rai, Thailand

Wat Tham Pla, which translates to "fish tail temple," is located around 13 kilometers (8 miles) south of Mae Sai. Because of the macaques that live here, the temple is also known as the Monkey Cave Temple. They are rarely violent, and they only congregate near the fish pond and the shrine to Kuan Yin, the Goddess of Mercy, who is revered by the Chinese. Apart from the monkeys, the primary attraction is Tham Pla Cave, which gives the temple its name.
