One of Chongqing’s Oldest Tea Houses!

As soon as I learned about the possibility of exploring one of Chongqing's oldest teahouses, I immediately put it on my list of places to visit! It's said to be one of the only teahouses in Chongqing now that still maintains it's 1970s/1980s style, where old wooden beams, grey bricks, and wooden tables and chairs dominate the space and enhance its captivating atmosphere. While visiting during the National Holiday, it was clear that this is a super popular destination for travelers and locals alike, who flocked to the teahouse and would stand in line waiting to go in. Here, they offer a decent selection of tea at ~10 RMB per cup, alongside snacks and small games you can purchase to play with friends. During my visit, this teahouse was bursting with energtic tea enthusiasts sipping on their hot cups of tea, slamming playings cards on the table, crunching on seeds and nuts, or simply chatting with friends.
