Highland Cow hike up to Allermuir hill

Getting There - Can get the 101 bus to Midlothian snow sports centre where the hike to Allermuir hill begins. It can take around 2 hours to get to Allermuir hill and if you follow the signed trail ,you will pass the Highland cows on the way . It is mostly a easy route with only a few very steep climbs up hill but can be harder in windy conditions Amenities :There are no toilets at the start of the hike,we didn't check but maybe you could find toilets in the snowsport center which you will pass on the way . Verdict : Excellent hike and #mountainview close to Edinburgh city centre one hour away by bus . Beautiful scenery and wildlife .
