Lingyin Temple & Scenic Park Hangzhou

Lingyin Temple & Fei Lai Feng Scenic Park Hangzhou Next on the list is this scenic park - I say this because I saw everything in the park except the Lingyin Temple.. haha... But don't fret, there are two other temples and lots more to see... Getting There - This scenic spot is located at 1 Fayun Lane, Lingyin Road, Hangzhou.. can't be missed. I took a didi (as usual), but there is also a bus terminal out front (I think I spied a bus line Y2...) Attractions - This park has loads of things to see.. stone carvings of budha legends, stone caves (amazing way to cool off during the summer) with more statues connected to beautiful streams, all envelopes in an ancient forest with big trees.. the sight is quite delightful. Admission into the park cost 45rmb - take a passport or the picture of the information page with you. The Lingyin Temple is inside the park, so I don't think it's possible to go to the Temple without paying for the park - there could be a seperate admission cost for the Temple but sadly, didn't get the chance to find out.. we trail the park first and checkout the temple on the way out.. We walked along the streams and park, and other temples way ahead... nice hike until the drizzle started. I was prepared with my umbrella but the light drizzle turned into a frantic downpour.. my umbrella was no match for it.. the trail turned slopy with about 20 floors in stairs which did interesting things to the hamstrings. I was completely drenched at the peak .. but still proceeded back out and to the Lingyin temple. My travel code showed I was in Shanghai 2 weeks back and the guards kept enquiring in chinese, passport and visa details, filling forms - drenched me wasn't in the mood for this, so I left. Food & Restaurants - Small shops within the scenic park. large variety of restaurants are at the entrance, just before the ticketing office - so easy bite before or after the site. #hiking#scenicspotphotoguide#nationalpark
