Central Post Office in Ho Chi Minh

The central post office of Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) is located in the southern part of Vietnam. It is located in the heart of the city - Bingtan district (Bình Tân). Locals call the main post office Bưu điện Hồ Chí Minh, and among tourists it is known as the Saigon Central Post Office (Ho Chi Minh Post Office, or Saigon). There are no doors in the building. Their function is performed by metal gates in the form of high patterned lattices. The entrance is crowned with an openwork metal visor. Above it is a huge clock. The absence of doors, by the way, allows you to admire the interior of the post office even after closing. Fortunately, night lighting makes the building even more beautiful. The semi-circular square in front of the post office is paved with stone and fenced with an openwork wrought-iron fence. To the right and left are mini-squares with bronze sculptures. Together, this creates a single architectural complex. The building of the main post office is multifunctional. This is a post office, a store, and a museum. The interior spaces consist of a hall, two side galleries and a main hall. In the galleries there are shops selling all kinds of goods and souvenirs.
