Central Post Office - Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam

The beautiful building of the Central Post Office is one of the oldest buildings in Ho Chi Minh City. Its construction began in 1886 according to the design of Gustave Eiffel himself. The spacious hall of the grandiose building is decorated with a mosaic depicting the former President of the country Ho Chi Minh opposite the main entrance, and on both sides you can see several painted maps of Vietnam. The Central Post Office, with its ornate vaulted ceiling, ornate tiled floor, and old-fashioned telephone booths, is still in operation today. There are even shops where you can buy postcards, stamps and other souvenirs.
