Cheung Chau day trip

Cheung Chau is an island located around an hour's ferry ride away from Central. It feels like a small village compared to the hustle and bustle of Hong Kong. The village island is easily doable in a day. I recommend arriving early and leaving after dinner to get the most of the island. The island is easily walkable but bikes are also a great way to get around. Apart from hiking trails, the island also has some nice beaches, complete with facilities. The island is also known for its snacks, such giant fish balls, mango mochies and Ping on buns. They are all very tasty and great souvenirs for your city dwellers. The slower atmosphere is a good relief from the busyness of the city. #hongkong #getaway #citytravel
