Calm in Mui Wo

Mui Wo is located on Lantau Island and is accessible by both ferry from Central or bus from Tung Chung. It can be described as a small town (in HK terms) and is known for its holiday feel. The town center itself is small and a bit forgettable. However the cook food center has an abundant selection of restaurants featuring HK specialities as well as seafood dishes. You can even dine next to the sea which is an absolute plus. Mui Wo also features a nice beach that is clean and has facilities such as showers and toilets. One can also venture further afield to the Silvermine Waterfall. Personally, I recommend hiking from Mui Wo to Discovery Bay via Trappist monastery. It's a moderate 2 hr hike and especially arriving at Mui Wo, you're rewarded with breathtaking views of the sea and mountains! Head to Mui Wo for some good food and relaxing outing.
