Man Mo Temple on Hollywood Road

The Man Mo (or Miu) Temple is for the worship of the Civil / Literature God ‘Man Tai (or Cheung)’ and the Martial God ‘Mo (or Kwan) Tai’. Built in 1847 and compromised of three temples (Man Mo, Lit Shing and Kung So), the largest Man Mo Temple complex in Hong Kong is in Sheung Wan on Hollywood Road. It is open from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm daily. The nearest MTR is Sheung Wan, but you can also reach the temple via bus no. 26 which travels along Hollywood Road and stops at the Landmark and Sheung Wan Station. Nearby is Shing Wong Street. It used to be home to an array of street art and painted steps, but sadly only a small area remains with it as it was painted over and removed. There are a few hotels nearby, such as Hotel Madera Hollywood, One 96, the Putman, the Mercer and even a lower budget Travelodge also on Hollywood Road. I would love to try some of them out! #free #createwithtrip #staycation #culturewalk
