Udo Island

It's no surprise that Jeju is often called the "Hawaii" of Korea. By taking a plane to the tropical oasis, you feel like you've left the country. There are an endless amount of activities and places to see on this archipelago. If you have an extra day or two on your Jeju travel itinerary, carve out some time to see Udo Island. You have to purchase a ferry ticket to come to this island but it's so worth it. Don't make the mistake of only stopping by for a couple of hours. Udo island is bigger than you think it is. It takes about 15 minutes by ferry to reach it. Once you arrive, you can bike the entire island or rent a really small car. I suggest the bike because most rental shops require a Korean or IDP (International Driver's Permit). That way, you can get around the island faster. There are crystal clear beaches, restaurants, markets, and some peanut ice cream that you should definitely try.
