Beautiful offshore island near Los Angeles

🏝️ Santa Catalina is a charming island around 22 miles off the coast of Los Angeles. It's known for its wildlife, dive sites and Mt. Orizaba, its highest peak. The resort town of Two Harbors lies to the north. To the south, in the city of Avalon, palm trees and cabanas line Descanso Beach. Getting to Catalina Island is fast and easy. It takes only one hour via a high-speed ferry to get you to paradise. You can take the ferry from Long Beach or Newport Beach. I love the calming and relaxing vibe here. Sometimes if feels like you are on some Mediterranean island. Planning a day trip is possible but I will recommend an overnight stay to experience more. #meetlosangeles
