It’s marketed as an opportunity to experience the cultural life of those living off the lake. 📍Best Time to Visit the Floating Villages of Siem Reap. The rainy season is June through October. The time of year when entire communities are “floating,” so many consider this the best time to visit.During the dry season, the home’s stilts are exposed, and you can see the houses’ sheer height. 📍During my visit to Cambodia during summer of 2018 in August ; my friends and I visited the floating village Kampong Phluk . We arranged the trip through a tour agency which was reliable. Upon the visit the tour guide stated the water was 4 meters high and by the next 3 months it will be 10 meters . The floating village was an eye opening moment where I saw life from a different perspective in-terms of how different people live from day to day .
