The Beauty From Above

Sigiriya is located North East of Dambulla just a short 30mins drive away. This place is one of the many bucketlists due to its panoramic scenic view from above and this is also named as one of the UNESCO World Heritage Site. The recommended time to go for this hike is early in the morning when it's still dark, but of course if you do that, prepare your torches as it is insanely dark, but it is worth while waiting for the sun to rise, because the view from above is amazing. This hike takes approx 30-45 minutes depends on each fitness level. This may be a steep hike, bit it is relatively doable when you take it slow, because Mark my words, you will be rewarded and yes this is a well paved track so don't worry about getting lost, because there is only one way up and one way down. Oh and also, as most UNESCO sites, this is sadly chargeable.
