Parkroyal Marina Bay staycation

Kickstarting first staycation of 2022 at Parkroyal collection at marina bay, which was a great start of the year for me to refresh for the new year and the challenges coming ahead. The hotel truly lives up to its name as a garden in a hotel, as the lobby is really pretty with bird cage like structures amongst greenery. Real birds in their cages were even present for a nature themed symphony from a live band made up of its feathery members. At night, the atrium lounge has a short light show as well. The collection Marina Bay room has a beautiful marina bay view, both in the day and at night. Was glad to be given the highest floor as I have booked it with club lounge access to have almost unobstructed views. Loved the balcony which allowed for a better view of marina bay and to get some fresh air, albeit narrow so have to be careful when outside. Receptionist was kind to accede to my request of a room closer to marina bay as it was a weekday and late checkout till 2pm. Hence, I was able to see the supertrees especially when they have the light show too ☺ was initially worried about the cleanliness as seen from previous reviews but my room was clean when I was there Service was 💯 on the whole for me. Staff were friendly and helpful. Club lounge staff recognised us because it was empty and we were the few who made full use of the lounge till they knew my last name at least 😂 and even delivered the welcome amenities to my room 🤗 Pool was pretty at night with the starry effect, though it was abit dark inside (someone probably didn't realise he was swimming towards me and I had to move away 😅) Rare to have pool with mineralised water instead of the usual chlorine pool. Gym was spacious too. The only minor issue I had is the chatbot to assist with my requests for housekeeping and to book facilities. Had trouble entering the app but luckily managed to do so on another phone. Then housekeeping requests are not available, and I was not able to amend my slot timings. Fortunately, I can still contact the OneConnect operator for help.
