Shop House Facade at Chinatown

With more and more land used to make more high rise buildings to meet the needs of the ever growing population, it is not common to see shop houses around. The teck Lim road near the Chinatown area is one of those that are still being preserved. The scene is very unique. By walking down the streets I noticed that most of them shop houses have been converted into restaurants or cafes and pubs. Some have turned into hospitality accommodation too. During the night time, the place was very lively. However during the daytime the road might be on the quiet side.
