Wat Si Saket

Wat Si Saket is one of the most important religious and historical building in Vientiane. Getting there is pretty easy as it is located not far from downtown. The whole visit, including walking around and taking pictures should last between 1 to 2 hours. The temple has a variety of statues, murals and paintings, all of them well maintained which make it a pleasure to walk around. There is no need to hire a guide, however, if you are into history and want to know more details of the art work then you might need one.
