Devbhoomi Dwarka travel guide and discussion

Let’s talk Devbhoomi Dwarka! 🌅 If you’re craving a dose of royal vibes and historic temples, this hidden gem totally delivers. Exploring Navlakha Heritage and Navlakha Temple in Ghumli means you're soaking up centuries-old grandeur, and yes—these spots are both blissfully uncrowded! Must-See Places in Devbhoomi Dwarka: 1️⃣ Navlakha Heritage – Head to VQP7+9F6, Ghumli, Gujarat 360510 for the palace museum. It’s all about vintage architecture, royal relics, and epic photo ops. My pro tip: Chat with local staff—they’ll fill you in on details most tours skip. 2️⃣ Navlakha Temple – Located in Ghumli (open 07:30–21:15 year-round), this place ranks high for serenity. The carvings here are next-level and early mornings are magic: cool breezes, zero crowds, legit Insta moments. My insider tips: Wear comfy shoes, as temple grounds can be uneven and the palace museum is sprawling. Snap photos in the softer morning/evening light for killer album-worthy shots. If you’re up for it, pack your own water and snacks—the area is rural and shop options are slim. Getting Around: Get a driver or car rental for Ghumli—public transport is rare and local rides can get pricey. Save time booking ahead with trip.com! Food: Try local snacks (think fafda, gathiya) sold at roadside stalls en route, but don’t rely on finding big restaurants nearby. Weather & Money: Gujarat’s sun is fierce—bring sunscreen, sunglasses, and cash (ATMs are sparse near the heritage sites). #GujaratHeritage #DwarkaTrip #NavlakhaTemple #HiddenIndia #tripdotcom

I had an amazing experience doing the Discovery Scuba Diving Course with my partner. The entire staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. The instructor-to-student ratio was 2-to-1, which was just perfect. We were fortunate to have Shane as our instructor, and he was extremely attentive, ensuring we felt comfortable, safe, and enjoyed every moment. We did two dives and had the chance to see a variety of marine life, including fish, moray eels, turtles, rays, and starfish. It truly was the best choice for our first dive ever. If you have the chance to dive with them, don’t hesitate—it’s a decision you won’t regret. For us, it’s a no-brainer that if we return to Mauritius, we’ll dive with them again. 10/10!

#hellohalloween #travel #familytravels Rukmani Devi Temple (also known as Rukshamani temple) is located around 2 to 3km from Dwarka, en route to Bet Dwarka. It is a very old and beautiful temple. Goddess Rukmini Devi is Lord Krishna's prime wife. It is a small and clean temple with ample parking space. The temple is not very crowded. The devotees are allowed to enter the main temple in groups. The temple priest then clearly explains the history behind the temple and the reason why the Rukmani Devi Temple is placed away from the Dwarkadhish Temple. According to the legend, once Lord Krishna and his wife Rukmani Devi visited Rishi Durvaasaa. After the pooja, both of them requested Rishi Durvaasaa to visit Dwarka along with them. Though Rishi Durvasa accepted their invitation, he made one condition to Lord Krishna & Rukmani Devi. Rishi Durvasa wanted both of them (instead of the horses) to pull the rath carrying him for the journey to Dwarka. Accordingly, Lord Krishna and Rukmini Devi were pulling the Rath carrying Durvaasaa to Dwarka. En route, Rukmini Devi felt thirsty and asked Lord Krishna for water to drink. Lord Krishna drew the Ganges by prodding the ground with his toe. Rukmini Devi drank the water and quenched her thirst. With this, Rishi Durvaasaa felt insulted as Rukmini Devi did not find it courteous to ask the Rishi whether he would like to drink the water first. Hence, Rishi Durvaasaa cursed her that from that moment she would live separately from Lord Krishna for twelve years, and that there would be no sweet drinking water ever in the vicinity. That’s why Rukmani Devi is separated from Dwarkadhish here. Accordingly, there is a system (called Jal-Dhan) in the temple wherein devotees can donate amounts to the temple for arranging sweet drinking water for the people around. This is as a token of your participation in relieving Rukmani Devi from the curse of Rishi Durvaasaa. Sweet drinking water is distributed here as temple prasad. The deity here is very beautiful and powerful. We were fortunate to have a beautiful darshan. The temple is old and has beautiful carvings on it. It is estimated to be around 2200-2500 years old. We were amazed by the sculptures over there. The temple is well-maintained. It is said that your visit to the Dwarkadhish temple will be completed by visiting this Rukmani temple too. One must visit this temple to have a feeling of satisfaction. Like the photos , if you like them! Follow me, Travelogist, for more similar updates

#hellohalloween #travel #familytravels The Shri Nageshwar Jyotirlinga temple in Dwarka is a sacred pilgrimage site for Hindus, revered as one of the twelve most important Shiva lingams in India. The temple complex is beautifully constructed, with intricate carvings and a serene atmosphere that fosters spiritual devotion. The main attraction is the Nageshwar Jyotirlinga itself, a naturally formed Shiva lingam believed to possess immense divine energy. Devotees flock here to seek blessings and immerse themselves in the spiritual aura of the temple. The temple's architecture, coupled with its historical and religious significance, makes it a must-visit destination for anyone seeking a profound spiritual experience. One of the 12 Jyotirling of India, this lesser-known temple of Lord Shiva stands out majestically in the middle of the beautiful countryside of Western Gujarat. The temple is well-maintained and is very convenient for all pilgrims to have Darshan. However, the temple premises and surrounding area need major overhauling and a facelift. Better maintenance, cleanliness, and creating facilities for pilgrims will make it more accessible and convenient for all. Like the photos if you like them!
