Province of Verona travel guide and discussion

Before my first trip to the Dolomites, I thought it was just “European snowy mountains.” After returning, I realized: this place is basically a real-life Windows desktop + the filming location of "Heidi and Grandpa"! If you’re planning to travel to northern Italy, I really recommend saving this article first, because the Dolomites aren’t a place you can just “arrive and play.” If you get the route, weather, or transportation wrong, your experience will be cut in half. ——Here’s everything I’ve personally tested and found useful, all organized for you👇 📍【Where|Where exactly are the Dolomites?】 Located in the northern Italian Alps, you can drive here from Milan, Venice, or Verona. The core areas mainly include: ✔ Funes Valley ✔ Tre Cime di Lavaredo (Three Peaks) ✔ Lake Braies ✔ Cinque Torri (Five Towers) ✔ Cortina d'Ampezzo ✔ Mount Siusi (Seiser Alm) In short: this is not just a single attraction, but an entire “magical mountain region.” ⏰【When|When is the best time to go?】 Two recommended periods: 🌿 June to September: hiking + lake views + green meadows ❄ December to February: top-notch skiing If it’s your first time, I strongly suggest going before the end of September. The weather is stable, mountain roads are easier to drive, and you can even catch “snowy mountains + autumn colors” in the same frame. 🚗【How|How to get around?】 ❌ Don’t rely entirely on public transportation ✅ Best option: private car + guided tours! Many stunning photo spots aren’t accessible by direct train. Especially at sunrise and sunset, buses basically can’t keep up. ⚠ Mountain roads have many curves Driving Alpine roads for the first time can be nerve-wracking, but the scenery is so beautiful you’ll be screaming with joy while driving. Tips: ✔ Download offline maps in advance ✔ Bring sunglasses (strong reflection from snow) ✔ Definitely buy full insurance 📸【What|Must-visit places】 1️⃣ Funes Valley The Dolomites’ “signature” photo spot. The little chapel + snowy mountains look like a fairy tale world. 2️⃣ Lake Braies Known as the “Sapphire Lake.” In the morning, the lake surface is like a mirror, making every photo look like wallpaper. 3️⃣ Tre Cime di Lavaredo (Three Peaks) A must for hikers. Standing at the foot of the peaks will leave you speechless from the awe. 4️⃣ Cinque Torri (Five Towers) A must for history buffs and photographers. One side is rocky peaks, the other side is a World War I site. 5️⃣ Mount Siusi (Seiser Alm) Europe’s largest alpine meadow. In summer, it looks like the Windows desktop; in autumn, like an oil painting. ⚠【Avoid these mistakes|Very important】 ❌ Don’t stay just one day The Dolomites are vast; changing hotels every day will exhaust you. ❌ Don’t underestimate temperature differences It can be 20°C at the base and only 5°C at the summit. Accommodation 🏨Funes Valley Hotel A boutique hotel in Funes Valley, with views of the little chapel and snowy mountains right from your window, surrounded by beautiful scenery. 🏨Lake Braies Resort A resort hotel next to Lake Braies, with spacious rooms offering lake and mountain views. 🏨Tre Cime Hotel Close to the Three Peaks, perfect for hiking enthusiasts, offering hiking guides and equipment rental. 🏨Cortina d'Ampezzo Hotel A five-star hotel in Cortina, fully equipped with attentive service, ideal for family vacations.

Yes. 100%. Verona is compact enough to explore in a day, but trust me… you’ll want to come back. The historic centre is absolutely gorgeous — medieval streets, elegant buildings, monuments and that unmistakable Italian atmosphere. ✨ But let’s be honest… Juliet’s House is probably the main character. ❤️ The balcony and house are a recreation inspired by Shakespeare’s famous Juliet, but the spot has become one of Verona’s biggest attractions. ⚠️ TIP TO SKIP THE QUEUE: You’ll need to book your visit online, but there’s a little trick. 👀 Buy a €7 tiramisù at the 2nd floor of the café/spot inside the souvenir store at the exit and you can access the a great and cheap look out, avoiding the long queue. You’ll get a great elevated view of Juliet’s balcony and the courtyard. Honestly… €7 for tiramisù + saving your time? Deal. 😂🍰 And then… GELATO. 🍦 OMG. Italy has officially unlocked another obsession. So, Verona in one day? Absolutely. Come for Shakespeare, stay for the streets, and leave thinking about your next LOVE story.

The Dolomites, located in the Italian Alps, are a real-life fairy tale world. Not only do they boast magnificent snow-capped mountains, crystal-clear lakes, and vast grasslands, but they are also the filming location for "Heidi," making them perfect for a family trip with kids. The Dolomites are not a single attraction, but an entire "heavenly mountain range." The core areas mainly include Funes Valley, Tre Cime di Lavaredo, Lake Braies, Cinque Torri, Cortina, and Alpe di Siusi. You can drive there from Milan, Venice, or Verona. The best time to visit the Dolomites is from June to September and December to February. From June to September, you can hike and enjoy the lake views and lush green meadows; December to February is the ultimate season for skiing. If it's your first time, we highly recommend visiting before the end of September, when the weather is stable, mountain roads are easy to drive, and you can witness the beautiful scenery of snow-capped mountains and autumn colors together. Regarding transportation, don't rely entirely on public transport, as many stunning photo spots are not directly accessible by train, especially during sunrise and sunset, when buses are usually unavailable. The most recommended modes of transport are private car hire or guided tours. If you choose to drive, be aware that mountain roads have many curves; first-time drivers in the Alps might feel nervous, but the scenery is so beautiful you'll be screaming with delight as you drive. It's advisable to download offline maps in advance, prepare sunglasses (due to strong glare from the snow), and definitely purchase full insurance. There are many worthwhile places to visit in the Dolomites. Funes Valley is an "iconic" photo spot in the Dolomites, with its small church set against snow-capped mountains, truly resembling a fairy tale world. Lake Braies is known as the "sapphire lake"; in the morning, the lake surface is like a mirror, and every shot looks like a wallpaper. Tre Cime di Lavaredo is a must-visit for hikers; standing at the foot of the mountains will leave you awe-struck into silence. Cinque Torri features rock formations on one side and World War I relics on the other – history and photography enthusiasts should not miss it. Alpe di Siusi is Europe's largest alpine meadow, looking like a Windows desktop in summer and an oil painting in autumn. When visiting the Dolomites, be sure to avoid these pitfalls. Don't stay for just one day; the Dolomites are vast, and changing hotels daily will be exhausting. Also, don't underestimate the temperature difference; it might be 20℃ at the base of the mountain but only 5℃ at the summit, so remember to bring enough warm clothes for your children. Accommodation 🏨Alpe di Siusi Resort Located in Alpe di Siusi, this resort is surrounded by vast alpine meadows, offering beautiful surroundings, perfect for a relaxing family vacation with kids. 🏨Cinque Torri B&B A unique B&B near Cinque Torri, offering a taste of local customs and culture. Rooms are clean and tidy, and the owner is friendly. 🏨Alpine View Hotel A hotel offering panoramic views of the Alps. Rooms are spacious and comfortable, and it provides various family-friendly facilities. 🏨Ski Resort Hotel Located in a ski resort, this hotel offers ski equipment rental and ski lessons, suitable for families with kids who want to ski.

Visiting Lake Garda was one of those experiences that made me slow down and simply enjoy the moment. The crystal-clear blue water, dramatic mountains, charming lakeside towns, and peaceful atmosphere created a perfect picture of northern Italy. 🇮🇹✨ I loved wandering along the lakeside, taking in the stunning scenery, and watching the mountains meet the water. Every view felt like a postcard, and every little town had its own unique charm. Lake Garda is not just a beautiful place to visit—it’s a place to pause, breathe, and appreciate the beauty around you. A truly memorable Italian escape, and definitely a place I would love to visit again. ❤️ 📍 Lake Garda, Italy #LakeGarda #ItalyTravel #VisitItaly #Tripcom #ItalianLakes #TravelMemories #TravelPhotography #ExploreItaly #BeautifulDestinationss #Wanderlust

🇮🇹 Italy 10-Day Self-Drive Itinerary 🌄 Dolomites + Tuscany Itinerary Overview: Venice → Dolomites (Funes Valley → Alpe di Siusi → Lake Braies) → Florence → Tuscany → Venice 🚗 Transportation Tips Flying from Shanghai to Venice during the May Day holiday for a 10-day in-depth trip to Italy. Since the main destinations are the Dolomites and Tuscany, I chose to land in Venice and rent a car for self-driving to avoid transfer hassles and have an amazing experience. Venice airport is small, car rental prices are very affordable, with rental plus full insurance averaging about 400 RMB per day. 🌄 Daily Itinerary 💡 Day 1: Arrive in Venice in the morning. The main city area is small, half a day is enough for sightseeing and eating. If you want to enter the cathedral, you must book in advance. In the afternoon, head to the Dolomites. Summer sunsets are late; arriving at Funes Valley around 7:30 PM perfectly catches the golden hour on the mountains—absolutely stunning! 💡 Day 2: Morning visit to Alpe di Siusi. Most cable cars are not open during May Day, only Alpe di Siusi is accessible. Hike the loop trail to see the sharp peaks, about 1.5 hours. Then drive to Lake Braies. The sun is too strong in the afternoon, and there’s a queue for boating, so the experience is average. Afterwards, visit Lake Misurina to see the Tre Cime di Lavaredo, but the scenic area is closed, requiring a detour. 💡 Day 3: Hike the Adolf trail in Funes Valley. This is the most recommended trail for May in the Dolomites! Close-up views of the continuous snow-capped mountains, very beginner-friendly. 💡 Day 4: Drive from Funes Valley to Florence, with a stopover in Verona. Arrive in Florence by evening and go straight to Michelangelo Square to watch the sunset! 💡 Day 5-6: Explore museums and art galleries in Florence. Must-visits: Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, Uffizi Gallery, Accademia Gallery. City strolls and shopping are also great. 💡 Day 7-8: Self-drive to Tuscany, visit the medieval towns of Siena, San Gimignano, and Pienza. Favorite is San Gimignano! The gelato is amazing. Classic cypress tree road, a popular photo spot with stunning views. 💡 Day 9: Drive back to Venice. Recommended to stay in Padua, close to the airport and affordable, perfect for catching early flights. 💡 Day 10: ✈️ Return home Accommodation 🏨 Genziana Located in the center of Ortisei, a four-star hotel, the best lodging choice for skiing and hiking in the Dolomites, with complete facilities and excellent service. 🏨 Nois Guest House Located in the center of St. Magdalena, a four-star guesthouse, featured on the cover of Dolomites fairy tales, with freshly baked bread and homemade jam for breakfast, great value at around 1,000 RMB per person. 🏨 Hotel Savoia Cortina A five-star hotel in Cortina d'Ampezzo, the famous Winter Olympics town, a ski paradise loved by celebrities, offering a luxurious vacation experience. 🏨 Hotel La Valle A three-star hotel in Pienza, rated 8.9 with over 1,200 reviews, free parking outside the city walls and outside the ZTL zone, the top choice for lodging in Tuscan towns.

A rainy day in Peschiera turned out to be quite perfect. I spent the morning strolling along the peaceful riverside before treating myself to a warm cup of coffee and a slice of creamy cheesecake. Simple moments like these always become the best memories. 💙 Then it was time to head back to Verona, a city that never fails to impress. From its beautiful riverscapes and timeless streets to its incredible food scene, every corner feels full of charm. I wrapped up the day with a drink at a rooftop bar, soaking in the breathtaking views and letting the city work its magic. 🍷🏛️🌅 Some days aren’t about chasing adventures. They’re about slowing down and appreciating every beautiful moment along the way. 🇮🇹 #Verona #PeschieraDelGarda #ItalyTravel #Wanderlust #travelgram

#easytravelpost Everyone takes the high-speed train straight from Milan to Venice, but they are skipping the most authentic historical cities right on the exact same train line! If you want Roman ruins, Renaissance masterpieces, and medieval castles without the insane tourist crowds, you need to try this route. 📍 Brescia: This city is a complete architectural shock. You can walk from the perfectly preserved Roman ruins at the Capitolium straight into a futuristic, driverless metro system. Sitting at Piazza della Loggia for a coffee costs half of what it does in Milan. 📍 Verona: Yes, it is famous for Juliet's balcony, but the real magic is elsewhere. Standing in front of the massive Arena di Verona (older than the Colosseum!) or watching the sunset over the river from the Castelvecchio bridge is unmatched. 📍 Vicenza: The ultimate architectural flex. The entire city was shaped by the Renaissance genius Andrea Palladio. Walking under the massive arches of the Basilica Palladiana in the main square feels like you are on a movie set, but you share it mostly with locals riding their bikes, not tour groups. 📍 Ferrara: Known as the city of bicycles. It has a massive, perfectly preserved brick castle with a real water moat right in the middle of town (Castello Estense). Don't miss the Palazzo dei Diamanti—a palace where the walls are carved to look like thousands of stone diamonds! 🚆 The Hack: You don't need expensive high-speed tickets for this. The cheap regional Trenitalia trains connect all these cities for just a few euros. Have you ever skipped a famous tourist city to explore the smaller towns nearby? 🗺️🚆 Let me know in the comments! #underratedspots #italybytrain #brescia #vicenza #ferrara #verona #slowtraveling

Walking through Verona feels like stepping back in time. From the iconic Juliet’s Balcony to the majestic Verona Arena, every corner of this city tells a story. I fell in love with its charming piazzas, colorful streets, and rich architectural details. Staying at Hotel Accademia made it even more special — a perfect base to explore all the sights on foot! Whether you’re a first-time visitor or a returning explorer, Verona promises an enchanting blend of culture, food, and pure Italian magic. 🇮🇹✨ 📍Address: Verona 💞Reasons to Recommend: Juliet house #Verona #ItalyTrip #JulietBalcony #VeronaArena #HotelAccademia #TripCom #TravelMemories #HiddenGems #Wanderlust

Visiting London Bridge and the Shakespeare museum was an unforgettable experience filled with history and culture.

Well, Verona has been my first Italian destination, and what a pleasant surprise it has been. 🧳🌒 Trip + eclipse, such a great 2X1. ✈️ Madrid → Verona: around 2 hours by flight. 🚌 From Verona airport, a €7 bus ticket per person gets you to Porta Nuova station in under 20 minutes, and from there, reaching the historic centre is super easy. But then come the little cultural differences 👀 🍝 The food? Well… who doesn’t know Italian cuisine? 🇮🇹😂 But one thing definitely caught me off guard: the coperto. In Italy, restaurants can add a cover charge of around €2–€5 per person, with higher-end places sometimes charging more. It’s usually listed on the menu, so keep an eye out. 💧 And the water… another surprise. Ask for tap water and you’ll usually be offered a small bottle instead. So that Spanish habit of getting a free glass of tap water doesn’t always travel with you. 😂 The good news? There are plenty of public fountains around the city, so staying hydrated while exploring is easy. Overall? Easy to reach, beautiful to explore, incredible food… and plenty of little Italian surprises along the way. But now… I’m ready for the NEXT DESTINATION. ✈️ GET READY, VENICE 🛶. I’M COMING FOR YOU! 😎🔥

As soon as summer arrives, I want to drift away in a lemon-scented town 🍃 Limone on Lake Garda is surrounded by lemon trees, and even the breeze smells fresh. ✨ Highlights 🍋 Century-old lemon garden La Limonaia del Castel Lemon terraces on the cliff overlook the entire lake and mountains. Every photo looks like a postcard. 🚤 Island-hopping boat tour to Isola del Garda A Gothic palace with tropical gardens, peacocks strolling among lemon trees, like stepping into a private movie. 🏘️ Get lost in the old town Cobblestone alleys hung with lemon-yellow sunshades, every corner hides an ice cream shop and hand-painted tile store. 🌅 Lakeside sunset Sit at Punta San Vigilio in the evening, watch Monte Baldo turn pink and orange, and the lake shimmer like gold leaf. 📅 3 days 2 nights itinerary Day 1 Arrive in Limone Arrive in Milan at noon, rent a car for self-driving or take the train and then a bus. In the afternoon, explore the old town, visit the lemon museum to smell different lemon scents, climb the Castello ruins for lake views. For dinner, try lemon trout at a lakeside restaurant with a sunset view. Day 2 Island hopping + cliff lemon garden In the morning, take the ferry to Malcesine, then the cable car up Monte Baldo, where Alpine views meet Mediterranean blue. In the afternoon, visit La Limonaia lemon garden on the way back, drink fresh-squeezed lemon juice, buy lemon jam and limoncello. In the evening, wade in the lake at the beach and watch sailboats return to port. Day 3 Leisurely stroll and return Have lemon cake with cappuccino for breakfast, browse the lakeside morning market for lemon soap and hand-painted ceramics. Check out at noon, then go to the Sirmione peninsula for hot springs and visit ancient Roman villa ruins before heading straight to Milan airport. 🍽️ Food list Lemon trout, lemon pasta, limoncello liqueur, and lemon gelato are must-tries. Lakeside restaurants are all reliable. 📝 Travel tips Best from May to September. July and August are crowded but have the clearest sunshine. Public transportation is sufficient throughout. Ferries connect lakeside towns very conveniently. Temperature varies greatly between morning and evening, bring a light jacket. Wear flat shoes for the cobblestone streets. The lemon garden is most photogenic in the afternoon light. Bring mosquito repellent. A slow-paced town—sleep in and explore at your own pace, no need to rush to see sights.

#arrivalguide I have a confession: I am now the proud owner of a tiny, irregular shard of 14th-century mosaic that I technically stole from Campo San Vio. Before you report me to the Carabinieri, let me explain the temptation. I was walking toward the Accademia Bridge, cutting through this quiet campo near the Guggenheim, when I noticed the pavement. It isn’t just boring grey stone; it’s a chaotic masterpiece of masegni(the traditional Venetian paving stones) interspersed with fragments of colored marble and glass mosaics—remnants of the Byzantine opulence that once defined the city. One particular piece, a deep blood-red glass tile about the size of my thumbnail, had worked itself loose due to centuries of foot traffic and the relentless grinding of the tides. It was sitting in a puddle of brackish water, glinting like a ruby. I knelt down to inspect it, and an elderly neighbor leaning out of her first-floor window yelled something in Venetian dialect. I panicked, thinking she was accusing me of theft, but she was actually warning me about the slippery algae on the stones. I pointed to the tile, and she shrugged, saying, “L’è vecchia, lassa sta” (It’s old, leave it be). But I didn't. I pocketed it. It felt like claiming a microscopic piece of the city’s skin. Later, I learned that removing even a pebble from Venice is illegal and can result in a hefty fine if caught by the Vigili Urbani. Now, every time I look at that red shard on my desk, I feel a mix of guilt and connection. My question for fellow travelers: where is the ethical line between "souvenir" and "theft" when the city is literally crumbling into your hands? Is it okay to take what nature has already dislodged, or does that just accelerate the decay?

It gets incredibly crowded by midday. · The best sunset view: Put on comfortable shoes and walk up to Piazzale Castel San Pietro (or take the funicular). The panoramic view of the city with the river winding through it is absolutely spectacular, especially at sunset. · Taste the local flavors: Skip the basic pizza and try the local specialties! Go for Bigoli (thick, local pasta) or Risotto all'Amarone. Pair it with a glass of Valpolicella or Amarone wine – the region is famous for it! Verona is the perfect mix of history, romance, and that authentic dolce vita lifestyle. I can't wait to come back! 🍝✨ #travel #thingstodo #italy

love traveling I am julia #garda , a London chef loving cooking, travel, nature, sea, yoga, pilates, food, culture, fashion, history, meditation. #travel2026 #travel #Seascapes #Staycation Itinerary (contest) Lake Garda, Italy’s largest lake nestled between Alps and plains, was a breathtaking escape blending azure waters, charming villages, and outdoor adventures. As a chef, I delighted in lakeside trattorias serving fresh perch and olive oil from local groves, sparking ideas for Mediterranean-inspired dishes back home. I kayaked on the serene waters, hiked lemon-scented paths in Limone sul Garda, and practiced yoga at sunset overlooks for pure tranquility. Exploring by boat revealed hidden coves and historic sites like Sirmione’s Roman ruins – a perfect mix of relaxation and exploration. Garda is a dream for nature lovers, with its mild climate, vineyards, and family-friendly vibes; less hectic than Como, it offers authentic Italian lakeside life. I recommend it for rejuvenating holidays with easy access from Verona or Milan. #winterescape Unlike grand royal palaces, Soave Castle feels practical and grounded. It was built for control and defense, and its clean structure reflects that purpose. The castle overlooks one of Italy’s main wine-producing regions, giving it both strategic and agricultural significance. Exploring the walls takes about one to two hours, depending on how long you stay for views. The surrounding countryside adds depth to the visit. Ticket price is moderate and the climb is manageable. Pro tip – wear comfortable shoes, as stone paths can be uneven. #castle #italy #fortress #travel

#winterescape Soave Castle stands above the town like a protective crown. Built and reinforced during the Scaliger period, it reflects northern Italy’s medieval defensive style – thick walls, rectangular towers, and elevated walkways. Walking along the ramparts gives you balanced views over terracotta rooftops and endless vineyards. The atmosphere feels calm rather than crowded, especially compared to larger Italian castles. Easy to reach from Verona, it works well as a day trip destination. Pro tip – arrive earlier in the day if visiting during summer to avoid heat on the exposed walls.

#winterescape Perched above the small town of Soave, this medieval castle dominates the landscape. Its long defensive walls stretch down the hill, creating a dramatic silhouette visible from far away. Inside, the architecture is simple and solid, focused on defense rather than ornament. The real highlight is the view. From the ramparts, vineyards surround the town in every direction. The castle feels compact and easy to explore, perfect for a half-day visit. Entrance costs around 7–8 EUR and the site is about 30 minutes from Verona by car. Pro tip – pair your visit with a wine tasting in town to understand the region beyond the walls.

#winterescape 📍 Why it’s special Soave Castle rises directly above the small medieval town of Soave, surrounded by vineyards that produce one of Italy’s most famous white wines. Unlike many castles that sit isolated on hills, this one feels integrated into the landscape and town below. Built between the 10th and 14th centuries and later strengthened by the Scaliger family of Verona, the fortress reflects both defensive strategy and regional power. 🏰 What to see – Massive crenellated walls climbing the hillside – Defensive towers and inner courtyards – Stone walkways with panoramic views – Views over Soave town and surrounding vineyards The climb to the castle is short but rewarding. Inside, the structure is relatively simple, but the strength lies in perspective. From the walls, you see rows of vineyards stretching across gentle hills, giving context to the region’s identity. 🎟 Tickets – Around 7–8 EUR – Combination tickets sometimes available with local museums 🚗 How to get there – Around 30 minutes by car from Verona – Reachable by regional bus from Verona 🕒 Best time to visit Late afternoon for softer light over the vineyards. 🗺 Combine with – Wine tasting in Soave – Verona – Lake Garda Soave Castle is less about interior decoration and more about landscape. It connects medieval defense with agricultural identity in one clear panoramic view. #italy #castle #soave

#europetrip Just outside Verona lies the Valpolicella wine region, where rolling hills covered in vineyards produce some of Italy’s most beloved wines. Take a tour of family-run wineries to learn about traditional production methods, from hand-harvesting grapes to aging wine in oak barrels. Taste Valpolicella Classico, Ripasso and the powerful Amarone, paired with local cheeses and cured meats. Explore charming villages like Fumane and Sant’Ambrogio di Valpolicella, where stone churches and medieval castles dot the landscape. The region’s beauty and wine make it a must-visit from Verona.

Inari sushi restaurant near Verona Airport. #sushilovers Lovely restaurant that has amazing glass cubicles for a very modern design. The whole restaurant is beautiful with glass design and very modern architecture. Lovely to experience something like this during our stay before our trip from Verona airport. You can order online with the Inari app and there is also a function to call for a waiter to assist. Very beautiful plated food. Modern and elegant restaurant. The clearance of the plates in between plates is rapid and the staff all speak in English and in Italian. If you are looking to have sushi with a vibe this is the place to go. During the week the menu is 15 euros per person and the drinks and desert is excluded. In weekends the price is different. #sushilovers

Standing beneath that legendary balcony, you can almost hear Shakespeare's words echo 🩷 The courtyard is alive with hopeful romantics, leaving love notes and touching Juliet's statue for good luck. It's a truly iconic spot, steeped in timeless romance and charm. Whether you're a believer or not, the atmosphere is utterly captivating. A Verona must-see! 🩷🌸 This is one of the most popular places in the city. Abd one of the most romantic in the world 💎 Then I walked through the old town, admiring the ancient buildings and sculptures 🩶 #Verona #JulietHouse #RomeoAndJuliet #ItalyTravel #LoveStory #TravelItaly

This is probably one of the most popular spots in Verona and famous as known as the location for Romeo and Juliet. I expected it to be incredibly busy and chaotic however I found it to be quite the opposite. Yes, there were a lot of tourists but it was perfectly pleasant to visit. You can visit the courtyard and statue for free but I opted to go into the house and stand on the famous balcony myself. Inside was lots of replicas of movie outfits/props or even great Italian paintings/history. It was a leisurely stroll inside, wasn’t overcrowded. I didn’t feel rushed to explore, which was so wonderful as a solo traveller. I went in early October so perhaps wasn’t as busy as the height of summer. But it was certainly one of the best attractions. I’m a big fan of the movie ‘letters to Juliet’ and this was exactly as I expected it to be. I bought a Verona Card which gives the owner access to the top attractions and transport around Verona. I highly recommend this to anyone wanting to explore the city. I only went for 2 nights and managed to hit all of the attractions on the Verona card. It was a last minute trip so it meant I didn’t need to spend hours planning where to go, I already had a list of the best options. #hellohalloween #travel #solotrip #italy
