Yuhua Cave Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in May)
Sanming City | Yuhua Cave | A summer retreat destination🫰🫰
🌟Highlights:
✨Yuhua Cave is the longest and largest limestone karst cave in Fujian Province, known as the number one cave in the Min Mountains, and is one of the four famous caves in China. Yuhua Cave was formed 270 million years ago from the limestone lava deposited on the seabed, after three tectonic uplifts and millions of years of water erosion, dissolution, and cutting. It is now in a period of development and growth, presenting a natural wonderland that is dreamlike and ever-changing.
Fujian Sanming Yuhua Cave! It's like walking into the cave of the gods! Wow, it really moves me!
Yuhua Cave is located 7 kilometers south of Jiangle County, Sanming. The cave is named for its shiny rocks like jade and radiant light. It is the longest and largest limestone cave in Fujian. The entrance is 'a gust of wind', with constant wind noise. The mountain mouth is 'pre-dawn', where you can experience the scene of darkness turning into daylight. There are two paths inside the cave, with six side caves: Grain, Thunder, Fruit, Yellow Mud, Creek Source, and White Cloud. Especially the images of Fairy Field, Alchemy Furnace, Lychee Column, Dragon Going out to Sea, and Child Worshiping Guanyin are the most realistic. It is recommended to spend about half a day for the visit.
Yuhua Cave, one of the four major caves in China. The ticket price is 110 yuan. I got a Xiaming Mountain and Sea Health B card for 148 yuan, which allows unlimited visits to 23 attractions within a year. After going to the Swan Cave, I feel like I've made a profit, haha.
The whole journey of Yuhua Cave takes about an hour and a half. It is recommended to go when there are fewer people, as the road inside is very narrow, with only one path. There are some platforms, and some key viewing platforms will have people taking pictures. When you are about to exit the cave, you can get a free two-inch photo, and a large photo costs 20 yuan/piece. The ticket includes a guide, and there are also costs not included in the scenic spot ticket: paid guide headphones 8 yuan/piece. If you don't call a guide and tour by yourself, it's also good, you don't have to buy this headset. The exit of the cave is at the top of the mountain, about 2.3 kilometers back to the entrance of the scenic spot, all downhill. There is an electric sightseeing car, which requires an additional fee of 13 yuan/person. If the weather is good, you can choose not to take the car. The air in the mountains is good, the whole journey is on a big road, downhill is not tiring, about fifteen minutes to half an hour can reach the entrance of the scenic spot.
As for parking, because it is the off-season, you can drive directly to the parking lot at the entrance of the scenic spot, no parking fee is required. Go up the steps to the ticket office, there are about thirty or forty parking spaces, enough. It may not be the case in the peak season. Inside Yuhua Cave, the main light source is artificial light. Some caves are tall and spectacular, very shocking. There are some platforms with benches to rest on the way, but very few. In order to protect the environment, I hope everyone will bring as few supplies into the cave as possible and not produce too much garbage. There are toilets at the exit of the cave, and next to the ticket office. There are also about a hundred steps to the place where you take the sightseeing car at the exit of the cave.
The temperature inside the cave is about 25℃, it is very cool to go in summer, and it is also good to go in spring and autumn, and the air quality is excellent after rain. It is also suitable for walking without taking a sightseeing car after exiting the cave. There will occasionally be dripping water inside the cave, it is recommended to wear non-slip shoes.
By high-speed rail: Jiangle Station of the high-speed rail, then about 15 minutes by car
Self-driving: It is estimated to take about 3 hours from Fuzhou
Route: After parking in the parking lot, go to the ticket office to buy tickets (free for those over 65 years old, half price for those from 60 to 65 years old), then take the sightseeing car to the entrance of Yuhua Cave, get the explainer, there will be a guide to explain and accompany, do not go back, take the sightseeing car at the exit to the parking lot.

Jade Flower Cave is located 5 kilometers southeast of Jiangle County, named for its shiny jade-like rocks and radiant light, and is the largest limestone cave in Fujian Province. The total length of the cave is about 6 kilometers, with two passages, composed of six branch caves including Canghe Cave, Leigong Cave, Guozi Cave, Huangni Cave, Xiyuan Cave, Baiyun Cave, and three small Yin rivers of 1 to 3 meters wide, such as Shiquan, Jingquan, and Lingquan.
In May 2002, the Jade Flower Cave Scenic Area was approved and announced by the State Council as the fourth batch of national key scenic spots.
From the day the scenic area reopened to December 31, 2020, it was free for medical workers.
The second stop of Sanming Jiangle, one of the four famous caves in China, Jade Flower Cave, has been carved by nature for 400,000 years. In ancient times, there were endless tourists, and it also appeared in the tourist guide map of the Ming Dynasty.
The stalactites growing from top to bottom, the mineral deposits growing from bottom to top, the natural erosion of crustal movement, day after day, the circulation and erosion of underground dark rivers, water drips through stones.
The karst topography, the six caves and three rivers of the Jade Flower Cave is the largest limestone cave in Fujian Province, with a constant temperature of about 18 degrees Celsius in the cave, warm in winter and cool in summer.
At the end of 2020, the lighting was renovated, and today I saw a 5D immersive mini movie.
tips:
There are climbs in the cave that will sweat, you can bring a jacket that is easy to take off, there are more dripping areas and the stone road is wet, wear easy to walk and non-slip shoes;
