Wildwood x Cherry Moon Tea Experience
High tea meets bush tucker. An unforgettable Fathers Day experience in a magical location.
Wildwood venue have started doing high tea/events packages each season and the spring event just so happened to coincide with a Father’s Day this year so of course we needed to try it out.
The package started with Kangaroo skewers over the open flame (blood orange and beetroot skewers for vegetarians like me) leading in to a traditional aboriginal smoking ceremony to welcome and pay respect to the elders and land owners past and present.
Once we moved in to the marquee we were treated to a wonderful high tea infused with familiar bush spices and flavours. The total experience lasted an hour and a half from the smoking ceremony to the end of the tea service.
Every last bite was delicious. I can’t wait for the summer event.
Address - 407D Bendeela Road, Kangaroo Valley NSW
Ambiance/Facilities - stunning valley and mountain views mixed with a contemporary venue setting and a shabby chic table setting made this a classy yet fun experience.
Highlights - the Lemon Myrtle Donuts fresh and warm.
Avg. Price per Person - AUD $95-135
Rating - IMO 4.5 out of 5. It would have been better if we had a bit more time (2 - 2.5hrs would have been better instead of rushing at the end to finish and reset for the next session)
