Colosseum and cafe with history
The Colosseum, the greatest amphitheater of the Roman Empire and still the landmark of Rome. We visited in October where the sun set quite early. We arrived just before sunset and hence could only manage to walk from the outskirts. Next time we would join a guided tour.
There are several sightseeing points around the Colosseum and it was a great walk around Rome where we ended in the Sciasia Caffe 1919 after an hour or so, a few streets from the Vatican.
Sciasia Caffe 1919
Address: Via Fabio Massimo, n.80/a, 00192 Roma

Magnificent Colosseum
Located just east of the Roman Forum, the massive stone amphitheater known as the Colosseum was commissioned around A.D. 70-72 by Emperor Vespasian of the Flavian dynasty as a gift to the Roman people. In A.D. 80, Vespasian’s son Titus opened the Colosseum—officially known as the Flavian Amphitheater—with 100 days of games, including gladiatorial combats and wild animal fights.
After four centuries of active use, the magnificent arena fell into neglect, and up until the 18th century it was used as a source of building materials. Though two-thirds of the original Colosseum has been destroyed over time, the amphitheater remains a popular tourist destination, as well as an iconic symbol of Rome and its long, tumultuous history.

Trevi Fountain Travel Recommendations for 2023 (Updated in Dec)
The beautiful Trevi Fountain ⛲️
#rometrip
Getting There - The Trevi Fountain is fountain in the Trevi district of Rome designed by an Italian architect back in the 17th - 18th century. It was designed by Nicola Salvi but different architects completed it. Getting to it is easy, you simply have to go to the Quirinale district in Rome, very close to the main station of Roma Termini.
Attractions - I can say that you cannot complete or saying to have made your trip to Rome without visiting this baroque masterpiece. There are many attractions near by such as Carrabba Marble.
Hotels - Hotel Fontana named by the fountain is cheap option however, if you are looking for more luxury experience you may want to option for Umiltà 36 or Singer Palace.
Food & Restaurants - Breakfast at hotel Fontana is really cool, for 15 euro you can really get a good breakfast while watching the fountain. Piccolo buco is well know for pizza near the fountain and trattoria Al Moro for local food.
Shopping - Trevi Galleria, La Rinascente and many botteghino. Botteghino sells cool items! if you are up for some high end brands, I would suggest you to go to Via del Corso in Rome.
Have a fun!

the Magic and Reality of the Trevi Fountain
The Trevi Fountain. 💙 This was my first time visiting and I was in awe! What a beautiful absolutely magical place! Located in Rome, Italy, it is one of the most famous and iconic fountains in the world. ⛲️
It is featured in many movies and photos, and is often depicted as a serene (exhibit A - the photo which I have shared with you) and romantic spot where visitors can throw coins into the fountain.
The reality of visiting the Trevi Fountain is a little different. Friends had told me it’s SOOO busy. While I thought I was prepared, I could never have imagined just how BUSY it gets. The crowds there were more than I expected. But, then again I can totally understand why.
What to expect: The fountain may be crowded with tourists, busy and noisy, difficult to get a photo with a clear view of the Trevi and can have quite a bit of litter around.
Managing expectations: be prepared for the crowds and hustle and bustle that come with this magical location. The Trevi Fountain remains a must-see place! 🤩🫶🏼The beauty and history of the fountain make it worth the visit. If you want to see it when it’s a little less crowded, try to visit early in the morning or later in the evening when there may be less people around.
Photo tip: work those angles. There were at least another 50 people if not more around when I was taking this photo!

super crowded
Getting There - there are many ways to get to trevi fountain, I got there via e-scooter, you can hire these in the uber app when you’re traveling to Italy
Attractions - it is said that if you throw a coin into the fountain with your dominant hand over your opposite shoulder, your wishes will come true.
Hotels - I did not stay within walking distance to the trevi, but there are many nearby
Food & Restaurants - I would recommend to avoid the tourist trap and walk slightly further from the fountain for a more authentic Rome gastro experience. suppli is a must try when you’re in Rome, it’s only served in Rome and anywhere else isn’t the same.

An inside look of the Pantheon
#rometrip
Pantheon is located in Roma center in Piazza della Rotonda near Trevi fountain. Pantheon is a Roman temple built to all gods. It is really a particular building that explains a lot of history and interesting things to learn especially if you like to understand more about ancientness.
The cost of the ticket is around 5 euro, but if you buy the guided tour it will cost around 25 euro. They also sell many packages, which will include the Pantheon 🏛️, Trevi Fountain ⛲️, and Spanish steps for about $30 dollars which is around 25 euro, so it is kinda convenient. However, if you like me you can kind explore many monuments for free as along as you have everything mapped down.

The Pantheon is one of Rome's most iconic landmarks, and it has received countless positive reviews from tourists and travelers over the years. This ancient Roman temple, now a church, is renowned for its architectural brilliance and historical significance.
Visitors often marvel at the Pantheon's impressive dome, which was a remarkable engineering feat for its time and remains the largest unreinforced concrete dome in the world.

Rome, Italy
For decades it has been one of the favourite European cities for travellers from all over the world. "Roma Caput Mundi" "Rome is the capital of the world". This is true in many ways. The Romans shaped the borders of Europe and enriched it culturally like no other civilization.
The province of Rome is a matching frame for the many treasures of the capital, and the surrounding area has, more or less directly, experienced the influence of the history of the Eternal City.
Rome is even more than Paris or Athens an open-air museum. The Italian capital is an ideal destination for a family trip to discover the Colosseum or make a romantic getaway to declare your love on the Spanish steps. Thousands of experiences await you in Rome.

Italy Travel | Rome must eat restaurant AL34
!! I highly recommend this Italian restaurant in Rome, Ristorante AL34. Search AL34 directly on the map to find it.
I have been to countless Italian restaurants, but only this one is in line with my taste, because I am a Chinese stomach, I can never eat Western food forever, this family can do so delicious, it is very rare.
First recommend a few must-have dishes
lobster seafood noodles
good-looking and delicious series, it looks super nice and tastes super ok. It must be ok. Order to pay attention to oh, there are two, a pure seafood without lobster, a little cheaper, but must point to the lobster!
Mushroom fried beef
first come up, I thought it was Chinese food! The beef is very tender, and the color-smoothed mushrooms are absolutely perfect. Many people who order this dish have asked me what it is. It seems that the glutinous rice is very fond of this dish.
Tiramisu
Come to Italy, you must eat tiramisu.
Because I don't drink alcohol, I can't recommend it. But basically everyone will order red wine, red wine with beef, and delicious.
Price: 100 Euro
Dish 86 Euro, 10 Euro tip, 4 Euro to the opposite person singing. Its almost, forced to charge, sing and take the brain, ask like it. like. Let's give it money.
Location:
Just on the edge of the Plaza de Espaa, search for AL34 on the map, you can search directly.
: There are a lot of people waiting in line, it is recommended not to go to the peak of dinner. 6-7 to go basically no queue ~

The Spanish Steps at Piazza di Spagna
#visitrome
Spanish monument in Rome? This monument 135 steps stairway was built by French diplomat Etienne Gueffier with the fund of 20000 scudi, designed by architects Francesco de Sanctid and Alessandro Specchi, linking the Spanish embassy to the Holy See in the Palazzo Monaldeschi at the bottoms. Constructed between 1723 - 1725, this 300 year old steps has a height of 29 meters. Due to many years of corrosion, tear and wear, the steps was renovated a few times, which the recent one was sponsored by Italian luxury brand Bulgari. Down the steps is also the infamous Piazza di Spagna, with the left side Via del Babuino leading to Piazza del Popolo.
The Famous Spanish Steps In Rome
We travel and we visit places of attractions because we want to create memories or perhaps learn about the country's history and culture, and that's what I did when I was in Rome. Rome is such a beautiful place with so much to learn about its ancient history and culture.
One of the place or attractions that I went was the Spanish steps. Though there's nothing Spanish about it, the Spanish steps is one of the most busy and visited attraction in Rome. It was crowded when I was there and the steps are not difficult to climb all the way up. Once at the top, you have the most pretty views of the city of Rome. There's about hundred plus steps to the top. The Spanish steps is a landmark that you should visit and make sure to learn something about it's history.
#wecreate
One of Rome's Best Panoramic Views
The Spanish Steps offer one of the most spectacular panoramic views in Rome. Climb the 138 steps to reach the top and be rewarded with a breathtaking vista of the Eternal City. Admire the beautiful Baroque fountain, the iconic Trinita dei Monti Church, and the sprawling city below. Enjoy the peaceful atmosphere as you sit and take in the view. As the sun sets, the orange-hued sky paints a stunning backdrop for this unforgettable experience.
