We spent 4 amazing days in Los Angeles this September and stayed at a beautiful Airbnb in Burbank. Perfect location. Close to everywhere and calm. Day 1 – Arrival, Beverly Hills & Santa Monica After landing in LA (LAX Airport), we took a little walk to the bus stop to get our rental car. We rented our car from Turo. We rented a hybrid car. Then we headed our way and stopped by Walmart to pick up groceries and essentials before heading to our Airbnb in Burbank. Once we settled in, we didn’t waste any time and went straight out to explore. We spent the afternoon in Beverly Hills, walking around and visiting Erewhon. Then we headed to The Grove for more exploring and shopping. In the evening, we drove to Santa Monica. We walked around the pier, visited Pacific Park, and had dinner at Blue Plate Taco. It was the perfect first night — ocean air, sunset views, and such a lively atmosphere. ⸻ Day 2 – Hollywood & Griffith Observatory We started the day by visiting the Hollywood Sign area for photos and views. Later, we went to Griffith Observatory around sunset — and it was absolutely breathtaking. Watching the sun go down over Los Angeles from there was unforgettable. We also explored inside the observatory, which made the experience even better. ⸻ Day 3 – El Matador Beach & Malibu Midday, we visited Calabasas, thousand oaks. We had our lunch at Mythpoint (Mediterranean restaurant ). Then we headed to El Matador Beach. We drove by Decker Canyon Road which has one of the best Malibu view. The road was narrow, be careful! Then, we arrived at El matador beach. The rock formations were stunning and the scenery felt almost unreal. We parked by the road and took a walk to arrive the beach, found the stairs! For sunset, we went to Point Dume in Malibu. We did a beautiful trail hike up to the top and watched the sunset over the ocean. The view from above was magical — definitely one of the highlights of our trip. ⸻ Day 4 – West Hollywood, Venice & Santa Monica In the morning and early afternoon, we explored West Hollywood around the Melrose area, browsed shops, and stopped at Urth Caffé — which we loved. Toward sunset, we walked around Venice Beach, watched the skateboarders, and enjoyed the vibrant energy. In the evening, we returned to Santa Monica one last time. It was lively and full of movement — the perfect ending to our LA trip. ⸻ One evening while staying in Burbank, we also explored AMC Burbank Town Center, which was a fun and relaxed place to walk around at night. Since it's a private beach, there's a separate entrance fee, but you can eat at the beach cafe instead. I think it's not well known to Koreans yet. [paradise cove] 28128 Pacific Coast Hwy, Malibu, CA 90265 USA ⏱ 08:00 - 21:00 (Beachside cafe & restaurant operating hours) The beach of life, "Paradise Cove", was so good that I visited it 3 times while staying in the US! This time, I went there with my grandmother. Since it is a private beach with an entrance fee, there weren't many people, so it's good to go with adults, and it's also good for swimming and playing! ♥ Such a beautiful place! Beautiful hike in Pacific Palisades. Easy and free parking. Good for hiking, trail running, and bird watching. Went on New Years Day and not too crowded! Moderate difficulty. Recommend hiking shoes as the trail can be rocky/muddy. Note: Did not see bathrooms nearby so do your business before! Bring water as the beginning is quite steep. Distance: 2.5 miles for short hike (1 hour+). 4.4 miles for longer hike (2 hours) Route Type: Out and Back Elevation: Up to 1,190 ft Post Hike - I recommend checking out Juicy Ladies which is a healthy food joint. This place has great smoothies, açaí bowls, and salads.

The Four Seasons Hotel on Doheny Drive is an exceptional place to stay while exploring the beauty of Beverly Hills. The hotel is impeccably maintained, the reception staff was welcoming, and our Hollywood Suite was both spacious and comfortable. Being on the ninth floor, we made great use of the two balconies. The pool area on the fourth floor, particularly spacious for an LA city hotel, features a charming pool, incredibly comfortable loungers, and attentive service to lift your spirits. Their complimentary shuttle service within a 2-kilometer radius is a thoughtful addition, and the hotel’s proximity to Rodeo Drive is another strong point. Overall, this is a superb hotel for a multi-night stay to explore Beverly Hills and nearby areas like Brentwood, Venice, and Malibu. We thoroughly enjoyed our six-night visit and would happily return anytime.

The location is perfect and very central, though there's a long hill to climb when returning to the apartments from the bustling area filled with bars, restaurants, shops, and the beach. On the bright side, taxis are available for just 5 euros. The atmosphere at Malibu Park is delightful, and the pool bar staff and reception are exceptionally friendly. The pool bar offers inexpensive and lovely meals, drinks, and snacks throughout the day until 5 PM, with the bar staying open until 9 PM. Conveniently, there are two supermarkets below the apartments, making it easy to grab essentials, and a large Mercadona supermarket is just down the hill. The rooms at Malibu Apartments are basic but clean, with the kitchen area equipped with enough essentials if you plan to cook, though the cheap and delicious meals at the pool bar and nearby restaurants make cooking unnecessary during your stay. For families, Aqualand water park is right in front of Malibu Park, providing a great activity for kids just on the doorstep. The pool area has plenty of comfortable sun loungers and umbrellas available. Having stayed here twice with friends and had fantastic holidays, I would highly recommend Malibu Park for an enjoyable experience. 👌

After years of roadwork, Highway 1 is finally open again. It fits clothes, a camera bag, and a warm jacket perfectly. The shell-shaped full zipper opening makes packing and unpacking easy. Wet clothes from the beach can go straight into the waterproof pocket, and the side pocket holds important documents. The wild brown light yellow color is stylish and great for women!

Finally checked out Nobu Houston 🍣 I'd been seeing pictures of the Malibu branch for ages and always wanted to try it, so I was pleasantly surprised to find a similar restaurant in Houston! Nobu is a popular hangout for celebrities from the West, making it a must-visit for many. I made a reservation in advance. It's located inside the Galleria, so the ambiance is quite discreet. Their cocktails are very unique. You absolutely must try P4, the Grand Cordon. The waiter explained that this drink is the 🏆 Nobu American Cocktail Competition winner, created by Kelvin Hatchett (Nobu Virgin Las Vegas). The ice cubes are very creative, imprinted with Nobu's name. I also ordered the Mango & Passion Martini, a sweet and sour fruit liqueur with a pineapple flavor—it was delicious! P5, Japanese A5 Waygu. I ordered the Hot Stone version, starting at 4 oz ($40 per oz). It was delicious! The A5 Wagyu beef was very tender and melted in my mouth—my favorite dish. P6, I ordered the Sea Urchin ($17/each) and O-TORO Bluefin Tuna Belly ($17/each). A5 The waygu nigiri ($21 each) is incredibly fresh, and the sea urchin is very sweet – a must-order!! P7 Black Cod Miso ($49) Nobu's signature dish, a must-order! The fish is creamy and tender, rich in oil but not greasy. The miso provides a sweet and salty balance with a hint of caramel. The surface is slightly charred, while the inside remains incredibly juicy. P10 Yellowtail Jalapeno ($36) Truly one of Nobu's signature dishes, a must-order! 👍 Each slice of fish is topped with a small piece of jalapeño, offering a refreshing and tangy flavor with yuzu soy sauce.
