#newyortrip
#newyorktrip
One of my favorite things to do in New York is to do day trips in New England! It is a favorite activity among both locals and tourists and the best day trip is Boston!
The city is only a little under 2 hours away by rail but it offers a delightful adventure. Start the day by taking a scenic train ride or a comfortable bus journey to the historic city. Explore the iconic Freedom Trail, a 2.5-mile route that showcases the city's pivotal role in American history. Visit the renowned Harvard University and immerse yourself in its prestigious atmosphere. Stroll along the picturesque streets of Beacon Hill and enjoy the charming architecture and quaint shops. Indulge in delicious seafood at Quincy Market or savor a traditional New England clam chowder. With its rich history and vibrant atmosphere, Boston promises a memorable day trip from New York City.

New England states in the US is composed of Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Rhode Island, Connecticut and Massachusetts. And among these six states, Massachusetts is the place to be!
Boston, the capital of Massachusetts, is always a go to place when visiting the northeastern area of the United States. Good food, clean area, walkable streets are just some of things Boston can offer.
They also have different activities for you and your family or friends can enjoy. And of course, Harvard University and Massachusetts Institute of Technology are both located in this city. More things to visit and enjoy while in Boston.

Harvard University Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
When it comes to world-renowned universities, Harvard University is probably the first school that many people have entered into their minds. So, when I came to Boston, we went to Harvard University to get some batik. There are many interesting stories on the
Harvard campus:
The statue of Mr. Harvard is not his own, but two people together, one in the upper body and one in the lower body, but there are still many people who believe in touching him. The feet can be contaminated with academic success. The
Masser Building is Harvard's oldest building and the second oldest school building in the United States. It is now the principal, the Academic Director and other offices and first-year dormitories, so staying in this building Students have to be the most disciplined students and can't be in the dorms.
Harvard House, there were two Harvard buildings. In 1764, a small fire broke out in the Harvard Library, and the whole building was burnt down. Only one book was brought out of the library by a student. Fortunately.
The whole campus exudes a literary atmosphere. Before leaving, I did not forget to take away the leaves on the campus, hoping to get a little bit of the slogan.
【Harvard Yard - Oasis of Knowledge, Brilliant Chapter of Cultural Journey】
In the heart of Boston, there is a gem of wisdom - Harvard Yard. Not only does it carry the historical heritage and academic atmosphere of the world's top universities, but it is also a tourist destination that combines historical sites, artistic atmosphere, and food culture, waiting for you to explore.
In terms of transportation, departing from Logan International Airport in Massachusetts, USA, you can take the convenient subway blue line to Harvard Square Station, which takes about 30 minutes to arrive, and the one-way fare is about 2.5 US dollars.
Accommodation options are diverse, there are high-end comfortable places to stay like "Charles Hotel", with a nightly room rate of about 200-400 US dollars.
There are also economical ones like "Harvard Courtyard Inn", with a price-friendly, nightly room rate of about 100-200 US dollars, allowing you to enjoy a home-like rest environment while feeling the strong academic atmosphere.
The food around Harvard Yard is also unforgettable. You can taste the classic New England dishes of "Thompson's Tavern", a hearty lunch or dinner costs about 30-50 US dollars per person;
Or visit "Odyssey Cafe", taste a cup of mellow coffee and exquisite desserts, only 5-15 US dollars can enjoy the pleasure on the tip of the tongue.
The travel guide suggests that you reserve at least half a day to a day to visit Harvard Yard in depth.
Starting from the solemn and solemn old campus buildings, follow the footprints of time to visit the Harvard Memorial Hall, Widener Library and other landmark attractions.
In addition, don't forget to participate in the official campus tour activities (cost about 12 US dollars/person), led by Harvard students themselves, to deeply interpret the legendary story of this university.
When night falls, bookstores, art shops, and various specialty shops in Harvard Square are must-visit places for literary youths, and every corner here is full of strong cultural atmosphere and life interest.
The trip to Harvard Yard is a pilgrimage to the hall of knowledge, and also a spiritual baptism immersed in food and art.
Whether you are a seeker, a traveler, or a food lover, you can find your own unique experience here, making Harvard Yard a brilliant chapter in your life journey.
I really love the rural scenery overseas, the beautiful countryside of Massachusetts!
Massachusetts countryside. A state that is relatively close to New York, also a state blessed with famous universities such as Harvard and MIT, a state that has produced several presidents, and a state that produces Hollywood stars like Matt Damon. What is its rural life like? It's like the Red Apple Farm, as calm as it can be, it's about sowing and harvesting all year round, and then savoring life

Massachusetts Institute of Technology Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
It can be said that it is the most striking building on the entire MIT campus. It is a masterpiece by design master Frank Owen Gehry. Now it is the computer science center of MIT. It is enough to see the design of this era from the outside. Sense and outstanding engineering skills.
At first glance, its a little weird. Its like a piece of bricks without any rules. Its said that this is the inspiration that Frank found when he threw the draft paper into the trash can. Its really incomparable. Casual design.
No matter which angle you appreciate the building, you can see the angular elements of the triangle, and then always feel that it seems to fall down at any time. Because of the holiday, you can't just enter the teaching building. It is said that there are also various statues and oil paintings. It sounds like it is more like a modern art exhibition room.
World-renowned university "Massachusetts Institute of Technology", a must-visit in Boston!
Massachusetts Institute of Technology, you can roughly visit it in half a day.

⭐️The Great Dome is the iconic building of MIT. It was modeled after the Seth Low Memorial Library at Columbia University, designed by the firm of McKim, Mead, and White (imitating the Pantheon in Rome). The dome was originally planned to be used as a large auditorium, but budget constraints prevented its construction. Major events at MIT are held here. Some graduation ceremonies and celebrity speeches take place in the square in front of the building.
⭐️The center of Schott is known for its colorful and bizarre shapes. Inside, there are famous figures such as linguist Noam Chomsky and the founder of the World Wide Web.
If Harvard is full of artistic and humanistic atmosphere, then MIT exudes a strong scientific atmosphere. Overall, it's definitely worth a visit!

❤️Recommendation reason:
Cambridge's history can be traced back to 1630, when the earliest English Puritans who settled in the Boston area established Newtowne here. In 1636, Harvard College, the predecessor of Harvard University and the first institution of higher education in North America, was founded here. People hoped that this town could become a university town like Cambridge in England, so it was renamed Cambridge in 1638 and was not upgraded to a city until 1846. As the location of world-renowned universities such as Harvard University and Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge has produced 130 Nobel laureates.
🚇 Transportation: Red Line direct, get off at Kendall/MIT or Harvard station respectively. Each subway fare is $2.40.

A food tour of Quincy Market
As a foodie, the places I travel to are inevitably filled with markets, night markets, and food streets. In Boston, the place not to be missed is the famous Quincy Market.
When I arrived at Quincy Market with great anticipation, the food on the first floor was dazzling. All kinds of fancy desserts, local delicacies, Indian and South Asian flavored foods are available. I found that most of the customers in Quincy Market are tourists, and it is crowded when it comes to meal times. These foods are not only beautiful in appearance, suitable for taking pictures, but also affordable in price.
We followed the crowd and ordered a lobster and clam chowder. The lobster tasted incredibly delicious, and the clam chowder was also very good. The BOSTONCHOWDA shop, which is a relatively old shop, is famous for making these two kinds of food. There are many people in Quincy Market during meal times, so if possible, it's best to go as early as possible.
In addition, I also tasted the Maine lobster roll. The boiled lobster paired with egg yolk sauce, although the combination of this dish is simple, the taste is very delicious.
In general, Quincy Market is a paradise for food. Whether it is locals or tourists, they can find their favorite food here. However, remember to go as early as possible during meal times, so as not to miss the food feast here.
Quincy Market
Quincy Market, located in Boston, USA, is a famous shopping and gourmet destination in the city. Established in 1824, the central building of this market has many food stalls, including various international cuisines such as French cuisine, American burgers, donuts, Turkish cuisine, Mexican flavor, Korean BBQ and North African cuisine, etc. In addition, the two adjacent buildings mainly sell fashion, decorations, jewelry and gifts.
As a place with a long history, the entire Quincy Market area and its surroundings have many buildings of historical value, which also makes Quincy Market a popular tourist attraction. In the mid-twentieth century, due to urban development making it old and crowded, Quincy Market underwent a major renovation, successfully transforming into a new commercial center, perfectly combining tourism and shopping.
The opening hours are 10:00-21:00 from Monday to Saturday, and 11:00-18:00 on Sunday. Here, tourists can not only taste food from all over the world, but also buy specialty products, appreciate street performers, and it is very convenient for both shopping and dining. Therefore, Quincy Market is a place not to be missed for both local residents and tourists.
