Very enjoyable excursions to discover Minorca, with a special mention to Onnik who showed us the hidden spots and corners of certain towns, sharing little anecdotes while also allowing us some freedom. He always maintained his good mood and skillfully adapted to our all-girl group.

We just got back from a week-long trip with 3 adults and 2 children and were very impressed with the hotel. It's conveniently located within a short walk to everything, and the Ting Ting train stops right across the road. The staff were extremely hardworking and friendly. Our room was cleaned daily and had everything we needed. The buffet food was delicious and diverse; although we ate out a couple of nights to explore, we really enjoyed the meals we had at the hotel. During my birthday, the hotel surprised me with a card and cake, which was such a thoughtful gesture! Plus, the air conditioning in the rooms was outstanding! Overall, we would definitely stay here again.

This was our fourth all-inclusive stay in Menorca and Majorca, and it was by far the best hotel. We opted for a sea-view room with a terrace and it was absolutely worth it. The view was stunning, overlooking the most picturesque beach I've seen in the Balearics. The steps leading directly to the beach made it easy to enjoy a quiet morning stroll or an evening dip in the sea. The hotel itself was impeccably clean, and the staff were consistently friendly and welcoming. The food offered a good variety and tasted great. The pools were excellent, featuring splash pools and slides, and we never had trouble finding a sun lounger—though it’s worth noting that we stayed outside of school holidays as our schools break up in early July. Bali beds could be used at no extra cost as well. The kids club ran from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. each day, and although the activities were somewhat repetitive, the children had a good time. Afternoons included pool entertainment and poolside activities. The spa was another highlight, boasting hot and cold plunge pools and offering plenty of massage appointments which were perfect for some downtime away from the kids. Evening entertainment was average, though some acts stood out more than others. The area around the hotel doesn’t offer much to explore, apart from a supermarket across the road and a medical centre. However, a 20-minute bus ride to Cala Ratjada was convenient, where we checked out the marina and enjoyed its vibrant atmosphere and diverse restaurants. I also managed to venture out one morning for a horseback ride at Rancho Bonanza through the national park, which was a memorable experience. Overall, this was an amazing holiday at a fantastic hotel in a stunning location. I’d highly recommend it for a family vacation.

Mistake: I tried the same stretch in August at 11 am—heat hit 34°C and the scrub gave zero shade; spring or October is the play. Another mistake: assuming the whole loop is continuous—some sections near urban Ciutadella are diverted onto road; download the official GPX. Bike rental in Mercadal was €25/day; I saw cyclists but the northern rocky bits walked better than rode. Wow, we have taken our first family holiday abroad - myself, Hubby, and my 3 children (18,16 & 10) and we would definitely recommend it. We found wherever we visited in Menorca to be family friendly and welcoming. Whilst we tried to speak Spanish, even if it was just the basics, the Spanish people were able to speak great English and were very understanding. We visited many places and attractions by car. Cala en porter and Son Bou beaches are beautiful- get there early for a rented sun lounger and umbrella. We also visited Lloc Zoo, although not a typical Zoo, it’s made up of recused animals. We went self catering and found it very easy to shop, either locally to the resort or further afield. All of the attractions, restaurants and shops were very reasonably priced. With the attractions, there was many that if you pre booked (we did ours the night before visiting) there was discounts to be had.
